Nice place. Downside: worst waiter ever. Had a bad day probably.

I love this place, though I'm still not sure as to why. Typical selection of beers in a nice part of the city. Perhaps you may have a sort of empanada from the Tjin's, then stroll over to the Krull for a pint. If you're a Spanish speaker, you may just be welcomed in Spanish by the barmaid. You'll sit in the bar and go to town on some kruidnoten. If you want a table, you might want to make a reservation beforehand. Do go.

I thought I would try this place out as I heard good things about it. It was pretty nice, staff were friendly and the beer menu was pretty decent. Prices average for the Amsterdam area. Would definitely go back if I was in the area.

Usually the people working there were always really nice and child friendly. That is why I was incredibly disappointed that now there is a guy working there that is not at all child friendly and on top of it he is extremely unfriendly. Is he only there for the time of the football world cup??? I surely hope so. On top of it, the menu said that certain things could be served until 6 pm. At 5 pm they already did not want so serve it anymore though.

when a friend told me the coffee was atrocious, i took it as an exaggeration but this is probably the worst coffee i have been served in A'dam in a decade, which is a shame as teh cafe is an excellent respite from teh market and infinitely more relaxed than the bedlam that is teh GeraltDouwPlein. it as a sunny terrace on one of teh quieter corners and a decent selection of beers and gins.......suppose i have no option but to drink beer then

The service was not up to standard. When my friend ordered the tosti it did not come with a napkin. Their mint tea is overpriced (3 euros), and when I asked just for a hot water refill, the waitress rudely replied with "Are you being serious?" and went on about how much money the staff would lose over this action before eventually refilling the glass. This is no way to treat a customer, it makes for a very unpleasant experience. A suggestion for the waitress: next time, just politely decline the request.

Nice place. Big windows, lots of light. Pretty good coffee and good lunch possibilities. I like the carpaccio sandwich. A couple of Dutch newspapers and weekly's. Spitting distance of the market and our beautifull Sarphatie park. Good terrace. Just a little less crouwded compared to the places around the market.

Sat down with a group of four outside. Waited for 30 minutes and no waiter took our order. Went inside to ask if someone could come around, they said they would come in a second. Waited for 10 more minutes and nobody showed up. Changed to Boca's Park just aside of it and got served within 2 minutes from a friendly waiter.

The place is okay but the staff was very unfriendly. When I asked what kind of draftbeers they served, the girl answered on a very irritated manner saying: get up and look for it yourself. Futhermore, When I went towards the bathroom, the waitress and I crossed paths and she again was irritated. I had to step aside for her. The other two staff members, also women, looked very tired and also had no customer service awareness at all.

2 x waited outside for more than 20 mins with no one being outside - no one has ever approached me. Elderly lady with grey hair working there had a seat and started smoking, like there was no one to serve. Girls behind the bar made eye contact but never bothered to pass by. This place is definitely great for having a comfortable seat on the bench in the middle of the busy street, but nothing else ;)

Nice place for a drink in the middle of DePijp. Very noisy inside due to bad acoustics. Uncomfortable seats inside. Terrace overlooking one of the entrances to the Sarphatipark. Great menu, good cappuccino. Close to the Albert Cuyp market and the Ceintuurbaan.

I understand that we are in Amsterdam where everything closes early, but not being able to make hot tea at 10:50 feels incredible. Then, he didn't seem very hospitable. We were seated near a side door that the maid kept leaving open as she went out to close the tables abroad; it would have been enough to approach it in order not to let us die of cold.

Two times already the drinks (one time coffee) were wrong and not what we ordered. The waitress didn't want to change it and we also got a complain that we should see that the cafe is too busy. None of the three times I've been there the stuff was polite.
