Café de Kater Review

Great and very nice cafe on the old market in Enschede. Food is delicious and with attention to preparation made by good chefs. Serve quickly by friendly and young employees. Very nice on the terrace in good weather. Or in less weather. Recommended for young and old and not expensive.
Parking in Enschede can be expensive. Pay attention if you come by car. Often outside the parking garages are more expensive than inside. Public transport is well organized and can therefore be done well. The Hangover ...... just do it once.

So cozy here but that is generally known, quality for a normal price

The terraces at the old market in Enschede are beautiful and the lunch menu at De Kater is diverse and good.

Cozy atmosphere with a great diversity of audience. The food is good, the terrace is a recommendation also in the fall / winter because of the heaters. But like all catering establishments on the old market, not the cheapest.

Had a fantastic experience here! The place has a very nice ambiance and you can sit both inside and outside. The food is delicious and also not so expensive. I have had lunch here, and I would certainly recommend others to give it a try as well!

Ordered chicken satay, it was still completely pink inside. Because of the 2 pieces I have eaten, I am now on the toilet all day. Too bad .. otherwise a nice place to have a drink .. but I never eat here again !!

Good food for a competitive price with a nice view over the old market.

Nice place with very good food and an exceptionally fast service. It looks a bit like a restaurant for the students of the university, but we were there on Friday night and it was packed with lots of people. Furthermore, there were special heaters outside, because not everyone could sit inside and it was cold outside. However, within fifteen minutes of our order, we already had our food and the food was delicious and beautifully made. Tip! Try the meal salad de Kater with delicious bacon, really super tasty!

We have been sitting outside. Well under the heater but that should not spoil the fun. At De Kater you can eat and drink for a nice price.

I always have very good experiences when it go there, big tables perfect if you go with a lot of friends.

Centrally located in the old market, this pub for everyone. Professionally run with an extensive menu. Upstairs there is a spacious room for rent for parties. Spacious terrace.

Extensive menu with large selection of sandwiches (hot or cold). They taste delicious. Also nice coffee's and tea. Furthermore, the daily snack is also delicious, served quickly. A good place to go for all occasions.

Sorry but they don't care about the Christmas spirit

Was very mediocre, spent 7 eu for a 'club sandwich' which was actually more of an upgraded toasted sandwich. The goat cheese sandwich from the oven wasn't that brilliant either, maybe next time they should turn on the oven too. Service has then taken it off the bill, therefore just that third star.

Always very delicious food, quick serving and a price that will bring you back.

A quarter of an hour had to wait until our order was taken, while it was not busy at all. There were always new people sitting on the terrace who were helped right away, when we were finally helped we said something about it and the waitress went into discussion with us .... nice professional girl.

Beautiful location for something to eat and drink. Food is good and not expensive. Always busy on nice terrace when the weather is nice. Nice to enjoy food and drinks after shopping.
