Nice place by the harbour to grab a coffee and a snack when you're wandering around
Nice place to sit. A little, however, an expensive place for your budget. A piece of over-fat salami pizza cost 7 or 8. The food was not bad, but a little overpriced for the quality. Anyway, a couple of pizza pieces, coffee and buns cost more than 30.
The staff was nice and expertise was found. The environment is very cozy and homely for those who love the sea.
One can recommend the place from a tourist point of view, but the local will find more comfortable and cheaper places to relax.
Poor service, refused to take into account the customer's special champion! Making one pizza without milk tea (spread and cheese) has been considered impossible!
Fortunately, there are other cafes where customer requests are answered in the affirmative.
Whether it is an inexperienced cashier and a specialty coffees system, it is difficult
Bring the dogs with you. For the hunger and thirst the most appropriate place.
The place was nice and well located especially this summer. The food was of high quality and the prices competed for the corner shop.
This is indeed a place to remember in the summer as the water here was free, that is, if you are on a bike on the way, you should stop.
Is a traditional place in Helsinki but is not the most beautiful place to go. Maybe need some update in the style.
Lovely, beautiful cafe by the sea and not too expensive one. This cafe allows the dogs with customers, too. It was nice to see some pets. When it's summer I can think the place being very full sometimes but now it wasn't. You can perhaps get your meal near by the windows or on the outside area and watch the boats. Big outside area.
It used to be a standard place, but now tempo opening hours, deteriorating lunch, constantly rising prices are limiting visits.
Good salads and pizzas & views. Even when the service was a little faster and you didn't always have to queue for 10 minutes, you would get a full 5 stars.
Simple cafeteria that serves your basic needs very well.
Places like this in Finland wholesale and did not stand out in any way more in favor. However, the service is somewhat good.
At home, the earmuffs were excellent for take away as well, and the coffee outside with them looking out to sea was not at all unpleasant.
Spacious but often congested. The interior is a bit gas station-like.
Nice view and good food. Not the best service but it was a busy day.

It would be a 5 star if not for the usual waiting time :) but we love this place. Food is really good, the vibe is excellent, and everyone is welcome, and the staff is very friendly
Classic
Always reliable
Ok. The coffee could be picked up for the same price. The only downside was that there was an angry, aggressive bike repairman in the yard with his tent next to the main door.
This place is a great stop by. Their menu changes from time to time, so be aware of that, but for the most part, between my 4 year old and my $$picky husband, we all could find something to nosh here without breaking the bank.
This is a cafeteria-style approach, so you get in line with a tray and pick out the foods as you walk along the counter. There's a variety, but everything except for specialized drinks, is available to just take right away.
At the register you can order specialized drinks, the staff are trained baristas.
The atmosphere here is very nice.
Kid friendly (like most Finnish venues).
The views open up to the Bay.
There is also outdoor seating.
Really nice place to relax.
They have restrooms as well.
Staff is friendly and speak English.
Central location of Kaivopuisto, good service, owner applied well renewable energy, seawater heating, solar cells, wind generator, solar cell charging of electric boilers in summer time.
After walking to the sauna, I was hungry. Food is cheap and good, there are many types, mainly bread and cakes, coffee, tea and drinks, and you can enjoy the seaside view, good
The visit to January was great, so I came again. Now it was a great disappointment when the ear was half the size of the tray, the trays were dirty (crumbs and grease), the milk was over and the coffee was lean. Is it worthwhile to come again?
Like the place for its location. Closing bit too early. Not cheap, but decent.
Location is what drags people to this place. It's actually pretty expensive though and the service is painfully slow and rather inefficiency planned. Instead of insisting on providing a counter service for people to ask for those already sliced and plated cakes just let people take the cake themselves and move on and pay, the queues would be dramtically reduced. Table layout is also pretty bad making it difficult to move around. Nevertheless it's a great location for a cafe and I have had many a good conversation there.
Irish Coffee was just looking. I've never had such a bad drink before
Spectacular view from the inside to the outside. Sauna, beverage and hot drinks. It is a relaxing place to be in casual days.
Expensive. Also even though it was just recently renovated the environment feels somehow cold and sterile.
Plenty of space. Good food options. Expensive prices.
Thus, during the corona queues, there are no safety distances.
Great sea cafe / restaurant to sit down on either the terrace or indoors. A variety of tasty and cuisine options are available.
We enjoyed our day at Kaivopuisto Park and chose the restaurant at 16:00 as our eatery. A creamy salmon soup was recommended, which we had high expectations for. The soup was totally worth it, tasteless, watery and did not live up to our expectations of creamy salmon soup. It really is a pity that we chose Cafe Carusel, there are so many really reliable eateries.
By the sea, a relaxed atmosphere on a beautiful summer day.
Decent place with various lunch offers, buffet. However, it is nice to visit the place in warmer days when it is possible to sit outside. Beware of the gulls however.
Good offers, but when you buy coffee, you don't get a cup cup anymore ...
They offered to heat a red beet and feta cheese pie. I had to wait until all others in line got served before chasing my pie, only to get served a lukewarm piece of food.
It was a really good lunch (the soup was amazing) and a very beautiful and calm place. There are both places for having some lunch/dinner and some more calm areas even to work or read a book. Both with the sea view. Highly recommended.
They've done a decent effort on updating a place. Still too pricey and not too vegan friendly, but a good move forward from what it was.
Beer and cider selection is nonexistent, but the place is great and there are coffees and snacks.
An absolute place for summer
Nice view to have a cup of coffee during your stroll along the shore.
Great location. Large sunny terrace. A boat runs to Pihlajasaari next door.
The cafe is ok, but there should be more parking space, no parking in the yard and street streets usually full
Weather helped a lot! Great grill and rooftop bar. Opening the parasols would have been perfect on such a sunny day.
