I wrote a review about 2 months ago in haste(due to stress of having my mother in rehab again). I will not change my mind on the dining room being understaffed but that being said. I can not in good conscoius say our experience was bad. Actually it was far from that. The aides are the BEST; always smiling, warm and caring. The nurses the same. Even the gentlemen that clean are friendly. The facility is Clean and warm and inviting. They have a cafe(privately run) that has very good food; when family comes to visit or patient wants to eat something other than "hospital food". The therapists in Rehab are all as nice as can be.
All and all , if you have a love one who is good natured, gets along with others and has positive disposition, this would be a great place for them.
Heck, I would be happy! They try to have activities and entertainment as much as possible. We were here during the Christmas holiday and the place could not look more beautiful and had lots of festivities.
If you have a negative, cranky, never happy loved one- what the heck they are not going to be happy anywhere even if it were the Taj Mahl!!! Be assured They will be very well taken care.
I also still feel, you have to make sure the meds are correct, and you stay in contact with the staff. No one is perfect and mistakes can be made. One bad apple should not ruin the whole bunch. There are a few people who need help in "people skills"(And you know who you are) Sandy Schrier head of social work is lovely and always willing to help. I would have no reservation to recommend Cabrini to family and friends and anyone who is looking for peace of mind in finding a good place for their loved one.
