The staff is very accommodating, professional, friendly and provides great structure and instruction. My kids love it, especially parents night out, they call it "pizza slumber party!" This club has various options available for different ages and various camps throughout the year. I highly recommend it for any age and level.

We absolutely love CITY Gymnastics. They're great for all ages, including mommy and me classes. Our daughter was already in gymnastics in Boston, where we would have to drive to get her to practice and when we moved to Chicago, we thought that meant driving to the suburbs, but we found this gym right in the heart of the city! I like to think of the gym as Times Square, it's super busy and buzzing with kids happy to be there, but they all know where they are going and what they are doing. (It can feel overwhelming if you're new, but there's a great energy) The coaches know all their kids by name and are friendly to the parents. My favorite thing is that they want the parents to leave! They want you to trust them with your kids, and honestly, I've seen so much personal growth from our little gymnasts, it has been worth the investment. If you can't sign them up for weekly classes, the Parents Night Out and the Out of School camps are perfect. They get a full day or night of gymnastics activities while hanging out with other kids! We just love CITY!

The coaches are great and my daughter is learning a ton. The front office staff are morons with a capital M. Getting any correct information from them and getting anything done correctly is not going to happen, so speak slowly and clearly so they don't screw you out of sessions or make your child miss events because they can not send emails or sign your child up for class.

We moved to Chicago from Cincinnati and since we attended a gymnastics club in Cincinnati, which was superb, I can compare that experience with experience at C.I.T.Y.

So here's a quick summary of my impressions over a period of about 7 months at C.I.T.Y.

1. Unfriendly reception desk staff. I never was greeted upon coming in for example. Answers to questions were terse and cold.

2. The children change their shoes in the same area where adults are walking with their shoes after the street. After taking their socks, the children run around an unclean, germy floor.

3. Apart from one teacher, whose name was Kim, some other coaches yelled at children in a verbally abusive way. All that is happening away from parents eyes. My wife happened to notice at least one instance of this.

4. Horrible customer service. I paid $397 for a session consisting of two classes. After my wife heard the abusive coach discipline one of the children, I decided to stop going there. I asked for a refund. Sure enough, it turned out there was a no-refund policy I must have signed. How convenient. After trying to extricate my money, Keith, the general manager just stopped responding to my emails. So, in the end I was tricked out of $397. I don't think I had ever lost so much money without a chance to get a refund.
