Buttermilk Falls was incredibly beautiful. It's a little hard to find as it's right off the highway, and despite it being a short visit, it's a nice place to go about stretch your legs.

Can t say enough!! Visited for a few days last week. Cottage was perfect - rustic, warm, spotless. Nice view over the lake. John and Dale are the best hosts; they both have a vast knowledge of the area and the local amenities. Ride out to the ice hut with John on his ATV where he gives a great tutorial on the local fish and their manners lol. The fish hut was phenomenal. Well built and warm. I told my wife that this was my favourite rental cottage of all the places we ve been in the last twenty years. You should go. We re going back for sure.

Awesome place...well stocked cottage..clean..wood burning stove was a real bonus for the coldest new years in years...was toasty warm..bbq on the deck plus hot tub.. ice fishing huts...outdoor fire pit...lots of privacy and property with cottage 9

John and dale are awesome people. Great cozy cottages that are suitable for 4 seasons. Enjoy ice fishing hut rentals and catch lake trout, walleye and white fish. Great for snowmobilers. Planning a wedding? This place does it!

I was suppose to be apart of a bachelor / bachelorette party the weekend of June 21st-23rd & due to a tragic event that took place this weekend had to be cancelled.
The bride tried to obtain a refund but was denied.. I understand that this weekend was booked with a deposit put down but do you guys not understand that a heartbreaking unfortunate event took place that results in this weekend not being able to happen. It s absolutely appalling that you will not issue a refund not to mention extremely heartless .. I understand that you guys have rules and protocols but certain situations such as this one rules and protocols can be compromised. I will not recommend this resort to anyone & I will tell everyone about how un accommodating you guys are.
You ve left such a bad taste in my mouth.

The owner was ignorant. Our room had bed bugs when we arrived and when addressed with the owner he accused us of bringing them. Rooms condition was sub par to say the least. Stay here at own risk.

Clean, private beach, family oriented, good value compared to other resort style cottages in the region.

Buttermilk Falls Resort is an awesome experience for first time and veteran ice fishermen. The proprietors John and Dale are so helpful and create a very welcoming environment.
The cottages are great with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a wood burning stove.
The hot tubs are a great time in the winter after a long day fishing.

Great people, great place.
100% recommended for everyone.

We gather here every year to spend time with extended family and adults and kids look forward to it all year long. A great way to unplug from those screens and just spend time together.

Just back from a very relaxing week at Buttermilk Falls; cabins well set up; nice beach for swimming and water sports: hot tub was a big bonus, esp for a couple cool late summer evenings. Owners very responsive to anything we needed. Definitely recommend it.

Such a beautiful location! Would be great for a weekend getaway with the family or some friends. We rented it for a large group of university students this past weekend and it was a great spot. Some cabins are equipped with hot tubs which makes for a nice night of star gazing.

A restful Ontario cottage retreat resort, right on the shore of Boshkung Lake. Our extended family has been enjoying vacations together here for many years.

The owners are some of the nicest people you'll meet and helpful. I recommend buttermilk falls for a vacation

The cottages are great. The owners are so nice and very helpful! They made our guys ATV weekend even better with by going the extra mile for us several times. We will be back!!

What a great little Gem...went fishing with a group of friends and was treated like we were at a 6-star resort. The facility, cabins, set-up and fishing expedition was more than expected! I would definitely recommend as Dale and John were hostesses with the mostesses! Thank You and see you shortly

Its a beautiful and peaceful space and has amazing owners and staff.

The place is wonderful. I enjoy the people that run it and the service. I also have an amazing time on the lake.

My Family and I were in the water at Buttermilk Falls taking some photos by the water and the (assumed) owner threatened to sic his dog on us and said the Falls are his own private property-- no signs, nowhere near the resort. Will never go to a resort owned by such a horrible human being and highly recommend finding other accommodations. Total creep owner with his dog, you will recognize him right away by his extremely unsettling demeanor.

My boyfriend and I were interested in this location for our wedding and reception. We stopped by today to see if we could check out the property a little bit. Someone from the resort told us to get off the property, said we were trespassing, yelled at us, swore at us and told us we were ignorant. He did not give us a chance to explain. It was honestly awful.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT waste your money on these people. The owners chase families away claiming that the beautiful (nature owned) falls are private property. The owner scares away people with his dog, stalks people, hides behind trees and yells at groups to get off his property. Please beware. Me and my family have been coming to the falls for years and have heard multiple stories of this man. And the stories are true! Not worth giving these kinds of people your money. Find a cottage with friendly, nature loving and respectful people.

First fishing trip with some buddies. What a great spot and such incredible hosts! From the first phone call, to every email, to every detail over the weekend, both Dale and John were amazing. Very accommodating, friendly and just nice people. They made our first ice fishing trip a blast and we d definitely go back.

The cabin itself was great for a guys weekend. Enough room to comfortably sleep, kitchen and BBQ were perfect to cook up some great stuff. They even had a shared cabin with Satellite to catch the leafs or raptors games in the evening.

Great place, owners let us do our thing. We had a group of 16 adults. Hella turnt up. Only downside was the suites we had, or atleast my half the group had, had ants. Wasn't the biggest deal, since I layered up like a bad boy. Lake water is so fresh, air is peaceful, skies are clear. Its just a beautiful place
