We live in Florida, saw on food network. It's much to small & crowded. To long wait time over 45 minutes so we left and ate at Mary Mac's. Suggestion: move to a larger place and seat patrons faster. May try again during future visit to Atlanta.

I visited this place and I ordered baked chicken (which was too white and not looking like baked chicken, it was more like boiled chicken). The mashed potatoes were very cold at the bottom as if it came out of the refrigerator and was not microwaved. It was an all around turn off taste bud experience and I will not be visiting anymore.

I placed a order online at 1555 to pick up at 1700, and when I arrived there were soooo many people waiting, call in orders, online orders, and people making orders at the restaurant. I feel that there has to be a better way to get the orders out better than what took place today.

First time ever eating here and the service and food was amazing!! I tried their smothered pork chops the first time in my life... All I can say is that they were finger licking good, juicy, well cooked!! Their uptown tea is a really good drink to have as well. I do recommend getting there early(like waiting for the doors to open) if you want to sit down and eat

I went on a sunday morning and this place was packed it's small doesn't like nothing special. If your not going to dine inside call your order in because they fall behind went it gets busy. The fried Chicken was crispy and juicy and the greens and mac n cheese very good. All homemade great soul food.

My mom and I visited this restaurant twice last week during our first trip to Atlanta. Hands down, this place has the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. It's crispy, flavorful, moist, and it isn't greasy. I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken but this stuff @ Busy Bee is something special. I also love their carrot souffle. My mom very much enjoyed the fried pork chops and mac and cheese. THis place, although quite small, was always packed when we arrived. However, our wait time was never more than 5 minutes. The manger and staff members are such a sweet, friendly, and welcoming bunch. I especially wanted to acknowledge 2 servers that we had: Jackie and Aloha. These ladies are the epitomy of Southern hospitality. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning here :).

Omg...I havent had southern cooking like this in a long long time...Collard greens remind me of my grandma's.This was my first time ..I ordered through postmates for lunch...As you can see by the photos below couldn't contain myself. Banana pudding is actually homemade, doesn't taste like the store brand. This is officially my go to for southern food. I will definitely go in person to eat.

This place serves up some of the best southern cookin' in the South. Seating is a little tight but I felt right at home. My favorite is the whiting with greens and mac n cheese. It's close to the Georgia Dome, but within walking distance.

This a small hidden jewel with Atlanta. I've been a cook for 17yrs and have NEVER been ANYWHERE where every single dish was completely outstanding. My palate was buzzing with happiness. The portions are really generous and the taste was heavenly. If you're tired of bland, boring food PLEASE visit the Busy Bee. You will not be disappointed I promise you.

My Fiance and I drove an hour to get here and the soul food did not disappoint. It was exactly what we hoped it would be: simply delicious. Plus the service was welcoming and attentive to us.

On this Saturday I went to Red Lobster for dinner ...

On this Saturday I went to Red Lobster for dinner but wanted some good dessert. Originally we stopped at The Beautiful for some Peach Cobbler. They didn't have any so we purchased some Lemon Cake. Cake looked good but it still wasn't Peach Cobbler. Lets move on to the next best spot. The Busy Bee. We got there 20 minutes before closing. The line was out the door and there was security letting folks know where the line ended.

Despite all of that they allowed us to jump the line because we wanted dessert only. The place was packed. Nothing but food and utensils jang ga langing. We ordered two large Peach Cobblers to go and Lord we were not disappointed. Despite going through all that to get the stuff we still didn't eat it until the next day and boy we were not disappointed. OMG that stuff is so good. Not too sweet, not over spiced...it was just right and the crust/dough. Sweet Jesus!!! Have mercy. Good Good Good.

Based on the reputation, the peach cobbler, the pr...

Based on the reputation, the peach cobbler, the pride and the heart of this historic establishment, on most days, this would easily be a 5. Yet, the service can totally use some work. Pre-pandemic, it was what it was once you get inside the restaurant, but right now, more order could be instituted on the outside in order to ensure less confusion and negative energy.

One suggestion would be signs/lines or at least designated places in the sun or not, for everyone from VIP (because they seem to exist understandably), UberEats, Postmates, call-ins, people who need to order and people who have ordered, etc. Also, because there seems to be at least 3 staff members attending to the crowd outside at all times, it might be a good idea for one staff member to solely be responsible for taking orders. In decency and order, maybe one staff member should be responsible for constantly taking names or order numbers of people waiting in the various lines to avoid people feeling as though they have to push through the crowd to be seen or heard, thus avoiding longer waits than necessary and people being overlooked altogether. Then, it may be a good idea for one staff member to take the latest list from the other staff and constantly check for/fill orders "in their ENTIRETY" to avoid someone getting their food, but waiting another 30 minutes to an hour for their drinks or vice-versa.

At any rate, again, I'd normally leave 5 stars, but this plus the food being cold by the time I got it and the quality slightly having slipped, prevented me from being able to do it this time. Nevertheless, I'm pulling for my people, but we have to get it together y'all!!! If Chick-fil-A's can do it, so can we!!! Otherwise, I appreciate the dedication of every staff member working in the midst of this thing that none of us ever fathomed or seen before, and I'm honored to have had the privilege of supporting such a place over the years .

Ordered, waited and waited and waited. Sat at the bar with another who ordered some time as me. He was served and eating for 25 min while I still waited. A couple seated after finished and left while I still waited. I canceled and walked out. Will never come here or recommend.
I am fine with a wait for food, but expect to be treated and prioritized like everyone else at the same time.

The food was really good. The down side was the establishment was way to small to accommodate the crowd it attracts. We were directed outside( rather rudely) where we waited for about 25min to be seated and waited about another 45min to receive our food. Our waitress was very accommodating and pleasant so overall I still enjoyed the experience.

Ha! I loved this place. Born and raised in Atlanta and this was my first time going. The food was excellent. I told my fiance I would take him but he will have to bring his own salt packets. Lol. But I love their ideals too.

Great food but the service leaves much to be desired. Always an incredible wait. Tried to avoid the wait by calling in an order 3 different times this week only to be left on hold so long each time I simply hung up and sought out another restaurant. They must do a lot of business but they are probably losing just as much revenue with the walk outs.

Wait time is too long even when you order online. They give a pick up time of 30 mins after order but it ends up being an hour or more. Didn't even eat after already having waited for 40 mins and was still being told order wait was still an hour asked for a refund and left. Hopefully they do right and refund me my $ as told within 3-4 days.

The staff is friendly and the food is ALWAYS delicious and consistent. I had the neck bones, collards and mac n cheese. Took me back to my childhood. If I didn't know better, I'd think my mom was in their kitchen
