The food is pretty good but we found it to be overpriced for the portions.
The service was great, the cost is a little pricey but the food is worth every cent!
The food was not good at all. The yams lacked a lot of personality and looked and tasted very plain. The baked beans taste like straight ketchup and bbq sauce. The mac and cheese lacked life and needed more flavor. The green beans smelled like hot dog water. The cornbread was hard. I wouldn't personally ear here again. After I left I went into the gas station and once I got back into the car my car reeked very bad from the leftovers and it's not like it was hot outside or it had been sitting there long. The only reason I gave them two stars is because of the good service
Great food but the service leaves much to be desired. Always an incredible wait. Tried to avoid the wait by calling in an order 3 different times this week only to be left on hold so long each time I simply hung up and sought out another restaurant. They must do a lot of business but they are probably losing just as much revenue with the walk outs.
Arrived here at 5pm on a Monday. When we entered the establishment an older male employee approached and told me to step outside the door. I asked if we could be added to the list. He said no and pointed to the door! I assume he was hot and frustrated due to the crowd. However, so was I with 3 hungry toddlers. I will never grace this place again. He was very unprofessional, i don t care what their circumstances were!
Had a very good experience for lunch. Went on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. My husband and I were greeted with a sincere smile from the hostess. Our server NeCee was very sweet, professional and proficient. She too greeted us with a warm smile although clearly busy with the lunch crowd. She took the time to pleasantly converse while taking our food order. Absolutely no complaints. Our food was very good! Both chicken and fish were seasoned and fried to perfection.
Today I took a quick trip to Busy Bee Restaurant where I discovered not only is the food excellent , but the service is exquisite. Thank you for 70 years of service!
Such great food! I am pretty sure that my group cashed in on some karma, because we were able to find a parking spot AND got seated immediately. The chicken was honestly the best I have ever had, and they Key Lime Cake is an absolute must! More
I looooove the food!!!! I don't care about the wait.
I had a $2.00+ take out fee!!!! Please check your receipts. I don't even know if that's legal!
WILL BE GOING BACK. LOVED IT
CAME ALL THE WAY FROM SOUTH CAROLINA. A FRIEND TOLD ME ABOUT IT, THE CARMEL CAKE IS JUST LIKE GRANDMA MY WIFE BEEN LOOKING FOR IT FROM RESTAURANT TO RESTAURANT SHE HAD ONE SLICE AND TOOK 2 HOME.AND WILL BE ORDERING A WHOLE CAKE NEXT TIME.
Way over priced but well the food is small on some dishes it is big on others pretty much it is all very tasty but the sides are usually pretty small but this place is a landmark in Atlanta known for soul food and its history in the black community but everybody eats there. It is a laid back atmosphere and festive at the same time but not over the top. Do not serve alcohol.
Well the name fits it's definitely busy in there. Tried to order over the phone but they were so busy no one answered. Personally it was a little salty but I don't tend to cook or eat with salt. The fried chicken want greasy and even crisp when I got home.
The service was great the food is delicious especially the macaroni and cheese, smothered pork chops over rice
I ordered online and the food was ready in 15 minutes. Food was delicious! If you are in Atlanta, I recommend checking out this local gem!
Omg! Best Soul Food I've had since living in Atlanta hands down! There's also a LOT of history there which our hostess Brittany was very knowledgeable about. We shall return!
It's worth checking out. Food is good, but waited an hour to get in.
Okay. You need to brace yo' entire self for the deliciousness you are about to experience when you go to this place. Hold your chest! I have been to many many many soul food restaurants. I can legitimately say that the flavors here - deliberate, perfected, balanced - are unmatched. I am speaking on behalf of the fried whiting, yams, collards, mac 'n cheese and peach cobbler. They love being cooked and served here. I can't imagine that the other foods aren't happy to be prepared and ultimately enjoyed here as well. Go and thank yo' self later for heeding wise counsel.
In town visiting. Kept seeing billboard for busy bee cafe. Decided to check it out on a Monday around 4pm. Waited about 30 mins for a table. Hostess was very pleasant. Now to the food. Ordered the pork chops , Mac n cheese , and yams. I couldn t find one bad thing to say about the whole meal. Sweet tea was delicious. If I found out they sprinkle a little crack in there it would explain why I drank 3 glasses. Family member ordered the signature chicken and collards and they were A+ too. Definitely will be coming back on my next visit
Just what you want to satisfy that craving for home cooking. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, And yummy, satisfying food. Prices are a bit on the high side for the portions, but I would go back.
Great hospitality and the food was good size portions
My mom and I visited this restaurant twice last week during our first trip to Atlanta. Hands down, this place has the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. It's crispy, flavorful, moist, and it isn't greasy. I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken but this stuff @ Busy Bee is something special. I also love their carrot souffle. My mom very much enjoyed the fried pork chops and mac and cheese. THis place, although quite small, was always packed when we arrived. However, our wait time was never more than 5 minutes. The manger and staff members are such a sweet, friendly, and welcoming bunch. I especially wanted to acknowledge 2 servers that we had: Jackie and Aloha. These ladies are the epitomy of Southern hospitality. I absolutely love this place and will definitely be returning here :).
