Bushido Academy of Martial Arts Review

I have been doing this since Feb 2020 and it's been an amazing experince. Shout out to Sensei Walker and Sensei Manyord. AMAZING.:);-)

My son just got his Purple belt this weekend! He loves this school and wants to spend all his time there!!

My son has been in Sensei Walker's classes for over a year now. Not only does he love his classes and has improved his athletic ability, but he has also shown dramatic improvement in other aspects of life. Sensei Walker has a great and personable staff, and I give everybody there a five star review. They know how to work with and listen to children, and I couldn't be more happy with our new dojo family.

We visited several dojos before choosing this one. Even though there are dojos closer to our house, we've continued to come here for the past 2.5 years. Sensei Walker cares about the students and their families and teaches life lessons in addition to all the katas, forms, and moves. My son wants to make him proud and practices at home. (He doesn't do this in any other area of his life!) A lot of times it's students who are teaching as Sensei is very big on leadership development.

I have been taking classes at Bushido Academy for 9 months now and could not be happier with my choice of schools. Mr. Walker has created an environment that is both supportive and challenging to bring out the very best of each student. Every day, I see myself and others doing more than we thought possible.
As a 40-something female who had never trained in martial arts, the potential for intimidation was high but I have been made to feel very welcome by both staff and students. Training has become my "me" time when I can set aside everything that is going on in life and focus on the here and now with the benefit of getting into great shape and learning self defense.
If you've ever been curious to try martial arts or have kids who are interested, I would definitely recommend Bushido Academy as a great place for you both to start. I should also add, however, that this isn't just a school for beginners. There are many serious, competitive martial artists within this school who are wonderful to work with.
