This was apparently the only company that could feasibly do the work I required: a flat roof built onto an addition to my house had settled at a bad angle, and water was overflowing onto a lower roof, leaking into the kitchen, etc. Since many residential roofers are reluctant to do flat roofs and box gutters, I got thrown around like a hot potato before I reached this company. Then there was a delay because even they were not sure whether their residential, or their commercial, division should do the work. They initially sent out a couple of guys who made a recommendation that sounded like a band-aid and not quite right to me. When I expressed doubt, the man pointed out he had been doing this for many years. Eventually I got connected with a better, higher level employee who took the time to look at the whole situation and offered better solutions. Went with this.
All the upper level executives and the customer service staff were great. The work eventually done by the job site people appears to be fine. The delay and poor communication from the job site workers was atrocious. They were to come out one day at 2 p.m. ready with prepared (bent metal) materials and the work was to take a couple of hours. They did not show or call. I called and customer service offered to look into it. Turns out the materials were not prepared but would be that afternoon and the crew would pick them up the next morning and be at my house, ready to go, around 8 a.m. next morning. Did not show. Received a call from a wireless caller but could not understand him because of rapid speech and accent and I thought it was a wrong number. Workers showed up at 1 p.m. (5 hours later) that second day as though nothing was wrong. No apologies or regret at my two days of inconvenience. One said, "Yes, yes, I know you're angry." Not good enough! They did not have all the supplies they needed and had to borrow a push broom from me, which they duly returned at the end of the work, which took about 1.5 hours. I requested a discount from the company, but I don't know if I got it, as the bill I received was not itemized. Paid it anyway just to end this interaction.
