Decided on eating here on a quick trip through Nashville, and glad we did! We ate at the attatched/outside area. And although the chairs weren't exactly comfortable, the food more than made up for it! Probably some of the best burgers around here!

Had dinner with a coworker who really needed to vent. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing. Very simple but elegant for a burger place. Great menu and was the prices are reasonable for the area. I had the Double Up burger with fries. It was well done but succulent ... perfect for me! The food arrived quickly and it was fresh and hot when it came. The staff was very attentive and professional. I loved having my own carafe of water on the table as well. I forgot to take a picture of my plate but this little restaurant is definitely worth the trip.

The burgers were great (which is really the point), but I was a little disappointed with the condiments. They unfortunately only have a ketchup made from come, which is much too sweet to eat with a burger and fries.

It was my first time at the 12th Avenue location but the food was still delicious and the service service!!! Jeff made sure to check on us regularly to ensure comfort and met needs. The troyathalon is one of the best vegetarian burgers I've ever had.

We were fortunate to get seats along the window on a busy Friday night. My burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare, juicy and delicious. The fries tasted freshly cut and yummy. Our server was attentive without hovering and very helpful with suggestions. We will definitely come back next time we're in Nashville.

Amazing burger joint. Loud and fun spot for lunch. Beef must be really special because it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Great place to lunch with friends and good selection of craft beers... fabulous combination.

Straight deliciousness. Craft burger joint with a sophisticated ambiance and, thankfully, none of the pretentious service that you would find at a similar place in Austin. We were seated quick and got some tasty grass-fed action quicker. The fries are good too. I counted two Belmont shirts and one Vandy shirt while we were there.

Exceptional friendly service with only a 5 minute wait. Amazing food! We got truffle fries (the best I've EVER had, truly), a buffalo burger on a seasonal salad of Brussels sprouts, pears, etc., a woodsmen burger and fries, a Caesar salad with chicken, and a local salad with chicken. Every dish was superb and classy. Wonderful homemade sauces and ketchup too. I'm not a local, but I'll return every time I come to visit!

It was a full house with a wait when we were there for dinner, but the server was friendly and responsive, and the burgers were quite good. Mine was overcooked, but I was willing to overlook that due to the volume they were cranking out at the time. Unexpectedly, they have a well stocked bar with a better selection of bourbon and scotch than I was expecting in a burger restaurant. Would definitely recommend.

By far the best turkey and quinoa burgers in town. Excellent salads and the truffle fries hit the spot every time. I am never disappointed and enjoy the weekly specials which have a seasonal flare and timely relevance.

This gets me through a long day.

This gets me through a long day.
Burger Up has a Quinoa vegetarian option that keeps me pleasantly full throughout my afternoon work day. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. I usually order it with a bun on lettuce. I was eating lunch and finding myself snacking 2 or 3 hours later. Now this is my go to. Burger Up on the 12th South strip is a sold choice for a good service and food experience. Talk to Alejandro behind the bar. If your not into a vegetarian option I also recommend the Lamb Burger. Thanks Guys keep rolling.

Burgers are divine and service is great. It can get a bit cramped when busy because of the style of seating in the restaurant but it's not so bad that it's bothersome. As a mom, I also love how kid friendly they are. Kids' menus pasted inside the cover of children's books? Pro move.

Pretty good burgers. Tight seating, but the joined tables make it a lot more... Intimate. Forgot the item name, but we had a platter of all 3 fries and multiple dipping sauces for 7 dollars I think? Definitely worth it if you like taters.

Will be going back once I have a little cash!

Best fries ever! And they have a kids menu. My husband said his burger was "adequate" but I thought my turkey burger was really good. What makes me give it 5 stars really is the service and ambiance, both were delightful!

One of the best burgers in town. Couple that with top notch service and the location in the 12 South area and you have can't miss restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed our meals and the chance to take in the surrounding activity. If you want to spend an afternoon in Nashville I highly recommend 12 S and stopping by Burger Up for a meal.

I save my 5 stars ratings for special occasions, but this place definitely deserves it!! The few minor downsides are easily offset by all of things that they got right!! My business partner and I showed up on a busy weekday night with no reservations (so they even take reservations??) and we were seated in about 20 minutes.. The personality of each staff member we encountered was friendly, warm and just as pleasant as the next.. The hostess had a lovely smile and very sweet demeanor.. Our waitress was absolutely adorable.. The food came quickly even though they were super crowded.. The atmosphere and clientele is an interesting mixture of hip young professionals and family friendly casual.. Most importantly the food was great!! I ordered the Turkey Burger with truffled fries and a side of spinach.. Everything was cooked perfectly and the quality of their ingredients was impressive.. If you re not on a tight schedule and you re looking to switch it up with a special location for dinner, give Burger Up a try..

I had a delicious Patty Melt witha housemade sauce. The rye bread was amazing. The seating was close but the conversation around the food was good too. Drinks were good. I definitely plan to come back soon and try something else.

Burger Up has definitely made it into our rotation of restaurants. They have one of the best veggie burgers in town (The Marathon Burger) and my husband loves several of their meat options as well. An order of sweet potato fries with their house aioli is outstanding. They also have great mixed drink menu and a reasonable beer selection. Somehow Burger Up has managed to take the typical burger dive into a real foodie experience from atmosphere to local quality food. I would also recommend popping next door to Las Paletas for dessert after... YUM!

Food was good, but the staff was not very friendly. I just moved to 12S area, had an early dinner while my family was traveling. The staff spent most of the night bunched up in the corner and gossiped. Felt a bit anti-social. Mostly younger folk running the joint, needed training and leadership. Worth another try because the food was good.

Love the food and come here regularly (1-2 times per month) just for that. While I ve had good service here before, whenever I come in for lunch, the same bartender seems very put off to have to wait on me. He s one of those who says maybe 5 words to me in the time I m there, doesn t smile or act friendly, and always leaves the bill before I m halfway done eating, which I find is rude and borders on a non-verbal hurry up and get out. Not sure why, I am an easy customer who orders the same simple meal every time and tip well consistently. He did keep my water glass full though, so...points for that?

I got the classic which fully describes the burger. Thick patty with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and a pickle on the side. It comes with fries or you can get other choices for additional $$. The food was good and the meat cooked to my specification. We got a brownie with vanilla ice cream to share. It was very good. The atmosphere is lively but not overbearing. Our service was good. The stools aren t the most comfortable.

We like the food it's all tasty. Somewhere we read it was grassfed burgers and when we returned we couldn't find that detail so we asked the server and they just use local conventional beef. We were disappointed. Taste is good but our health is more important to us.

It's my first time in Nashville, and my cousin took me here. A little bit of a different place, but great! Quirky. Stools instead of chairs, for example. Our waiter was great, and we ended up staying to chat a bit after we finished eating. It was full and busy on a Sunday evening, but we never saw much of a line. They kept things moving well. I'd come back again next visit!

Well worth the wait! We were trying to get on the road quickly and so were disappointed by the wait for a table, even though we'd come in after what we thought would have been the lunch rush. As a novel convenience, they took our cell number and texted us when a table was available, allowing us to to stroll around in the meantime. The food was well worth the wait! The burgers, fries, even the homemade sauces were all delicious. My burger wasn't cooked to order, but was perfectly satisfying nonetheless. And at the end, I was delighted by their generous military discount, which brought their accordingly high prices into a range I felt very comfortable with.
