As an experienced estimator and project manager for a couple of the nation's largest general contractors, Building Connected has by far been my preferred bidding software. It is an easy to use; it's streamlined pre-construction software come with with just the right amount of "bells and whistles" to efficiently qualify subcontractors, send invitations to bid, and document good faith efforts.
I've been trying to speak to someone about going PRO for month's and "OF COURSE" no response from anyone at BC. You'd think ANY business offering a service would want potential customers to sign up subscription for $$$$.
Great product for preconstruction. Great support and the Director of Sales does a very good job at keeping customers satisfied. They are a great team to work with.
I have been using BuildingConnected for 3 months now from an account created by a former employee and have had issues with the service. 3 times we have requested support and have received nothing back. I messaged them about paying for the upgraded service, and have gotten no response in 3 weeks. I ran a demo of their Bid Board Pro, assuming that someone would reach out to try and get the upsale when the demo ended. Still nothing. Now they have locked the takeoff function without Pro, and there is nowhere to just pay for the service on the site. How ridiculous is this that I cannot get someone to take our money. I am literally over here performing like a bear on a unicycle just to pay them and can't get their attention.
Where is their telephone number so that we can get help on bidding?This is not user friendly. Even when I can get into a file to bid with 2154 pages, it doesn't tell me which page to look for to see who needs my product. A simple category for paint spec'd could take 4-5 hours to find. And again, no phone number to call for assistance. Working directly with the contractors works better for us.
Building Connected has been great for finding local subcontractors for our projects. As a nationwide GC, a lot of time and money is spent on trying to find subs. Building Connected has made this process faster, easier, and also time and cost effective.
Feels like I have been using BuildingConnected from the beginning and as they have grown they have continued to answer the needs of the construction industry from organizing subcontractors contact information into one database to allowing subcontractors to become pre-qualified. Of course the analytics have been a game changer. Thank You BuildingConnected for truly listening to the end user and creating an extremely useful tool.
BuildingConnected has been a great tool for our bidding process. It is user friendly and has great support.
BuildingConnected is not user friendly for our partners or our users. They refuse to make ANY changes for their paying customers. They continue to make false promises and accomplish nothing. Even after AutoDesk took over, it is the same terrible customer service.
