The doctors and staff here at Brusveen Chiropractic are wonderful. I have never had any issues. The first time I ever came here, I called as a new patient in ALOT of pain. Dr. Melissa rushed me in that day, and I ve been going ever since. I ve felt so comfortable with each and every person there.
Before I started coming to this wonderful establishment, I had the worst sciatic nerve pains. Somedays it would bring me to my knees, since then I've been able to enjoy life like I should have been all along. They really know soo much about alternative health care and are a very friendly staff.
Fell on the bottom step in the basement . Lower back became very painful a couple days later and my left leg was going numb. The medical doctor made it worse. PT helped a little. Dr B took Xrays, made a diagnosis, began adjustments, and got me back on my feet in a number of weeks.
At the strong urging of family members who attend Dr. Brusveen s clinic, I visited his office following the traumatic birth of my son. From the x-rays taken on my first visit, to the wide variety of adjustment tables, to the detailed explanations I received, every aspect of his clinic exceeded my expectations and was far superior to the care I had previously received elsewhere.
I saw a marked improvement in my son s neck motion (which had been restricted since birth) within just two weeks, and my x-rays revealed a rather serious neck subluxation that had gone completely undiagnosed before. If left untreated, I can only imagine the unfortunate state we d have found ourselves in years later. This would surely have been our fate, had we continued seeing a far less experienced chiropractor in our area who offered no x-rays, had one adjustment table to his name, and did not vary his prenatal and post-natal techniques whatsoever.
My family is incredibly grateful for the care we ve received at Brusveen Chiropractic and we ve come to realize that within any profession, there s a wide range of proficiency. The haircut one gets at a strip mall barbershop is likely to be quite different than at an upscale salon. Likewise, not all chiropractors are equal, and we hope others will discover the difference for themselves.
I have been going to Brusveen Chiro for about 1.5 months now. I would highly recommend them! They truly are on your team and want to create a game plan WITH you to ensure you get back to optimal health. I have been in severe pain for the past 4 years. I have been to 5 chiropractors, and two rounds of physical therapy. At this point I was being told surgery would be the only fix. Dr. Brusveen and Dr. Melissa have started a care plan to try and avoid surgery and to correct the issue. Out of five chiropractors and two physical therapists, they were the FIRST ones to spot the actual issue. Knowing what the issue is allows you to be able to treat and fix it!

In the last 2 years I have seen 2 different chiropractors, a physical therapist, and went through a series of exams and shots, finally speaking to a surgeon about back surgery. Then I learned about Dr. B, and in 30 minutes he analyzed and listened and then explained clearly what he will do to help me. He talked about my back in ways no one had to this point. where do I even begin with Dr. Mark.......I went to see him 7 weeks ago with severe back pain, I found out that I had a bulging disc, my tailbone was twisted and I had 25 years of arthritis in my back, who knew??? he instantly started treatment and after 12 visits I am starting to feel back to normal and my self again. I have been seeing Dr. B. off and on for the past 15 years. He has helped me recover from an accident and more recently plantar fasciitis. This foot problem has been going on for a couple of years with no relief. I have seen a podiatrist with no results. Dr. B. has helped this problem and I no longer have pain when I walk. I do trust Dr. B. is knowledgeable in his field and good at what he does.

I came to Dr. Brusveen with severe neck and shoulder pain. I had a bulging disc in my neck, and the pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep or do my normal things. I couldn't even go to work. Dr. B adjusted me and gave me decompression treatments. About 2 weeks into the treatment, I was feeling better. Now I feel fantastic! I am pain free, I can sleep now and life is good! Thanks to Dr. B and his staff, I am feeling myself again.
Dr. B has been my go to doctor for a long, long time. He has helped me with many health issues over the last 3 decades. Just recently I went to see him because my neck and upper back were tight, tight, tight! After that adjustment I went out to my car, sat there and just sighed in relief. I ve been going to a chiropractor for 18 years. We recently moved here and I went to this office. My first appointment was over 2 hours long. My second visit was less time however, they went over my X-rays again in more detail. I felt like I was in anatomy class. Every worse case scenario was relayed to me. I even asked if I should consult another doctor about surgery. The doctor was still in training and wasn t able to do an adjustment. After I stopped going a received a very rude call from the billing lady. She tried to blame me for a mistake she made. I finally had to have my insurance call her and tell her how to do the billing. Nightmare all around!!!!
I doubted whether I would have any relief from my pain, since I had tried almost everything: muscle relaxers, exercise, massage, anti-depressants. quitting smoking, and even other chiropractors. I had so much pain and fatigue that it was difficult to take care of my children, prepare meals, clean, and participate in social activities. My whole body began to be dysfunctional, and I was in extreme pain for the months leading up to seeing Dr. Brusveen. I began to worry about what my life would be like in ten years if I was already feeling that badly at age 36. After receiving chiropractic care for a couple of weeks, not only do I have less pain, but I have experience increased energy, weight loss, less dizzy spells, less anxiety, hardly any sinus trouble, and more restful nights. Now I don't feel like I need to go to bed at three or four in the afternoon, and I can spend time with my family and socialize. Dr. Brusveen spent more time on me than other chiropractors had, it wasn't just in and out in 5 minutes: he looked at all the factors that were contributing to my back pain, like nutrition. Now I feel like I have a future that doesn't revolve around pain.

Dr. B is one of the most knowledgeable chiropractors I have ever met. Dr. B and his staff are very friendly and caring. They offer nutrition guidance without being pushy. What I love the most is Dr. B is honest and upfront about whether he can help me or not and if I am doing well, he will not do an adjustment. He doesn't do the adjustments just to do them. That is such a nice change. I feel like he (and his staff) really care.
Dr B is the best. He is kind and listens. They do x-rays to see what you look like before you start therapy and monitor throughout. My neck was a crazy mess and I couldn't move it before I went in. I have degenerative disc disease and he was able to get me back to a great range of motion. He's also good with discussing over all health and wellness.
The doctors listened, then with careful connection checked my problem. You could feel there concern.
I ended up at this office out of desperation and in terrible back pain.. I was afraid to go to a chiropractor, but they truly care about the whole person at this office. My back pain is much better and I have talked with other patients in the office who said they wouldn't go any where else. I had neck and shoulder pain with numbness and tingling for 11 years that progressively got worse, to the point I was not sleeping for more than 3 hours a night. I developed memory loss from not sleeping for years and I wondered how I was going to work because of the pain. Some days I couldn t even move my arms because they hurt so badly.

They have spotted all the mishaps through out my body every time I come in and visit, they are very supportive on financial planning and give everyone the opportunity to receive the care. This care team helped my entire body. Right down to getting myself on orthotics for my flat feet. They are a very informative team with supplements that I also take for my other issues such as nasal congestion, I'm currently dealing with and gave me the relief I needed. Dr B has brought me back from the brink of no return. I was unable to walk upright, I had a severe limp due to the back pain and shooting pain in my hip, leg, and foot. He spent the time, and did many different therapies and manipulations to get me back in shape. In addition, he is knowledgeable about homeopathic treatments for all kinds of things, which greatly improved my quality of life.
After a long car ride (10+hours) and a week of sleeping in a vaccation bed, my back and neck were a mess. Dr Brusveen saw the issues rt away. The adjustment helped rt w\getting me moving again. All the tension from the trip released and I was able to regain motion again. I am so thankful for the office staff being so flexible w\getting me in on short notice.
NEVER AGAIN - BEWARE! With all the great Chiropractic offices out there, I would suggest you never go to this one! First off the office manager is bizarre and unprofessional, which I could deal with but their practices are unethical. We d show up for our appointments and pay before each time, then after a while we d show up and have this account balance that we needed to take care of. When we d ask about the details they d give some round about answer of insurance is confusing, and certain exams are required of us bill you through insurance, etc. so we d pay then the next time it would be there again and we d have some other strange balance with a similar explanation. The crazy thing is we called our insurance and found out these mandatory exams they referenced are not required and they don t even know what they are talking about. Furthermore, they didn t even give us the exams in the first place so they are billing our insurance(and us) for a service they didn t provide!!! We finally evened up with them and started going to another chiropractor because no one else in town does this and we kept receiving bills. We tried calling and explaining we don t owe them anymore money and they actually had the nerve to take us to court over a $50 bill for services they never provided. These guys are crooks and very shady there are plenty of great places you could go in the area so don t waste your time(or money) on these guys!!!
Dr Brusveen and his team saved me from having neck surgery just over a year ago. Great staff, flexible schedules and warm personalities. Come see them if you are in pain or just need a good adjustment.

After two back surgeries I thought I was stuck with my pain. Then 5 years ago I tried Dr. B. His knowledge, skills, and specialized equipment helped me SO much....
And, he's realistic and honest: two years ago I ruptured three discs in my back. I wanted to correct them with chiropractic, but he said my case was outside chiropractic and directed me to surgery. After a healing period, I resumed care. I have Dr. B realign my spine whenever I overuse my muscles and they pull on my vertebrae.
If your medical doctor says you need back surgery, get a second opinion from Dr. B to see if you can avoid it. If not, you CAN safely have chiropractic after surgery! (But see Dr. B.!)
P.S. Dr. B's peers (other chiropractors) voted him as one of Grand Rapids Magazine's "Top 2020 Chiropractors."

The office atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are very friendly. Dr. B really knows his stuff! I started seeing him for migrains and he has done such a wonderful job helping me, I take my whole family.
After 5 back surgeries I was desperate. My medical doctor always told me that a chiropractor could not help me. After living with pain daily, I gave the clinic a call. Upon calling the clinic, they understood how much pain I was in and got me in the same day. The staff treated me like I was their main priority and Dr. Brusveen took his time to really figure out what was wrong and how to correct my problem. For the first time in 16 years, I can now touch my toes. My everyday life is so much better now that I can do anything I want and not have to pay for it later. I managed to catch the flu (Influenza "A") which turned into pneumonia in February. The pneumonia caused three weeks of hard and frequent coughing which really made my back and ribs very sore. I hadn't had chiropractic care in several years but decided to try Bruseveen Chiropractic to help my back. After two weeks of visits the pain in my back and ribs due to coughing was much better! In addition the pain in a different area of my back which I have had off and on for many years was also gone!

I was referred to Dr. Brusveen by my father, who was greatly helped with his hip pain. My lower back was interfering with my daily activities, and it was getting worse. I had tried over the counter medications and icing, but neither gave me relief. I had to think about everything. wanted to do and how much pain it would cause me. When I worked in the garden, I would have to make sure to plan for having back pain later. When I started getting adjusted, I was so worried that my problem was too severe to be helped, but now the pain is mostly non-existent! I have so much more energy to do the things I want, and I don't have to think about how it is going to affect my back. Dr. B has helped me to be able to live my life without worrying about pain.
I was very apprehensive about seeing a chiropractor and my sister-in-law in Ohio said she went to one for cold laser on her knees. I had a foot/ankle problem for about a year so I thought maybe the cold laser would help instead of going to a foot specialist.. I was recommended by my husband to see Dr. B. From the time I walked in, to when I had my first consult with Dr. B, I felt comfortable. The office staff was very friendly and Dr. B. explained everything in detail that he needed to take x-rays of my spine before doing cold laser. To my surprise, he found an issue with my lower spine and that is what was giving me my foot pain. The office was great about working around my work schedule to come in. I came to see Dr, Brusveen this Spring mostly because I had severe back pain and leg weakness. I chose this practice because medical offices were closed because of Covid 19. I was treated by both Dr, Brusveen and Dr. Melissa. They are both very skilled, knowledgeable, and patient friendly. It was pure luck because I just picked the practice from what I read on the internet. They were wonderful! I am almost pain free and progressing with my walking. All of the staff were helpful and amazingly
friendly considering how busy the office is. I would highly recommend their practice for chiropractic care.

Over the last 5 years, Dr. Brusveen has been very helpful with managing my everyday back and neck pain. I work long hours at a computer and a drafting table and my neck and low back were suffering from repetitive motion and poor computer posture.
