Unfortunate circumstances brought me to Margot Alicks' legal firm. My family was breaking up and the circumstances were complicated and intense.
Margot and her team were fantastic from the first call, through the last invoice. Calm, patient and thoughtful listeners - I felt heard and supported throughout a very trying time in my life.
Our case required very specific expertise and nuance in the way things were handled. A potentially long and exhausting case was handled effectively and efficiently, with grace.

I didn't know exactly what I needed - or the danger I was in - when I first called Kyle, and I am so thankful I had her in my corner. Her and her paralegal, Mark, were always the right combinations of professional, empathetic, smart and strategic. Going through a divorce and custody battle is probably one of the most devastating events a person can experience. I was overwhelmed on every level. These ladies were my life line! They fought for me and my daughter tirelessly. They were not only a listening ear and a safe place for me to tell my side of the story, but they also had the knowledge, training, resources, work ethic and fearless drive to help me get through the worst time of my life. I started this journey as a very fearful and scared woman, but these ladies gave me the help I needed when it mattered most. They were always honest and upfront. They made sure I understood what was happening and kept me in the loop. They never beat around the bush when it came to cost (hands down they were worth every penny). If you need a team to support you through your worst times choose BAM! You ll be happy you did.

I was close to a lawyers nightmare when I finally found Steven. Unfortunately, it was after 7 previous attorneys left me with zero trust in family law attorneys and nearly bankrupt. Over 9 years of high conflict litigation with my children s litigious father, my case has seen almost every possible filing and order that a post-decree case can see. Emergency motions, a PRE investigation, parental alienation, supervised parenting time, DM appointment, sobriety monitoring and countless stipulations entered out of desperation to restore my parenting time, etc, etc. My case is a mess. In 3 months, Steven has made more progress than any number of attorneys has on my case. Steven remains professional, even when I am emotional and not always professional. He has taken the fact that I don t trust attorneys personal and has made it his goal to invest in my wellbeing and also to turn the nature of my case around. He has connected me with other well known professionals who are experts in high conflict child custody cases and my family has received the best therapy we have ever had. Steven knew exactly the type of person I was up against and for once, my attorney was actually educating me on the unique and troublesome personality type of my ex husband. I trust Steven so much that he will sometimes advise against my preference, but I have learned that he truly knows best and I am able to let him take the lead. If he needs to consult another attorney, the amazing professionals at BAM assist us in making difficult decisions on my case. This year was my first victory in 9 years and I owe every ounce of it to Steven. Steven has saved my life this year in a few ways. I will have Steven on retainer for many more years to come and I hope that I never have to look for another attorney again. I hit the jackpot and my kids did too. My whole family has so much respect for Steven and BAM Family Law, they are absolutely the best!

Heather is as unethical as it gets, she will recruit unethical bias highly untrustworthy sources to aid her lies. NO integrity whatsoever and she s not very smart. She prides herself on masterminding false allegations and has no conscience it seems. I m not sure how she passed the bar or completed any type of schooling because it s Astonishing how much she relies on perjury, limited knowledge and unjust accusations.
When you as a client get exposed and she s your lawyer you will have paid for someone who relies on garbage tactics to pace her cases. She doesn t care about being upright, she cares only about herself.
You are going to end up in debt and less than average representation. Where is her morale? She s absolutely Heinous and should not be practicing. The good reviews I highly question.

To say that I was blindsided, unaware, and unprepared for a divorce is an understatement. Margot was my go to lawyer during the whole process. Her quick responses, compassionate demeanor, and organized style made the whole process that much more bearable. My child and I are going to be okay, and this is due in large part to Margot's diligence throughout the process. She is definitely someone you want by your side in such a stressful situation. I would not hesitate to recommend Margot and her team for anybody looking for high quality legal firm!

I hired Margot Alicks to represent me in my divorce, and I legitimately don't know how I would have survived the process without her and her amazing team. This firm has zero moral or ethical boundaries and specialize in masterminding child custody cases based upon false allegations of abuse. This is the second time I've left his review.

They charged my ex-wife over $90,000 to manufacture false allegations allowing my ex-wife to take our 2 year old daughter out of state to California. They worked with Julie VanHeyningen to create a parenting plan to alienate our daugther's father from her life. The parenting plan requirements are beyond severely prejudice.

It's sad and disgusting that people like this exist and earn a living by CREATING misery and pain in our community. Our daughter is now 3 years old and hasn't seen her dad in over a year or even met her paternal great grandmother who is over 80.
