I was running about 8-13 miles a day at a 6:45 pace. Then I broke my leg. I was diagnosed with chronic pain.
I had a gait analysis. But then, I went to a running store where a college kid was expected to interpret the results. Or... watch me walk.
Turns out, I ended up with $500 custom orthotics, $200 running shoes that caused MORE pain.
Somehow, I stumbled upon Phil at The Training Station. He's, like, an Olympian. But for real.
Gait Analysis at a University or hospital is great but they don't know or sell shoes. Phil does a real gait analysis AND knows his sneakers. I'm so thankful I found this place. I even called him a few weeks later to ask about a new pain.
Seven miles last night. No pain at all. Running shoes at the same price as Footlocker.
Great service from knowledgeable staff. Joe had me try out runners until I was sure I was getting exactly the shoe I wanted. Try things out on a treadmill or a Turf track; this place is great. Full service conditioning gym & classes too, if you're interested--but I'm an outdoor runner!
Excellent service! Very knowledgeable staff! Joe helped me and my significant other out this past Saturday he had me try out a few sneakers until I was sure I was getting exactly the shoe I wanted. I was able to try out the sneakers on a treadmill or a Turf track. Very happy I came here! He even measured my shoe size (you be surprised) this whole time I was in the wrong size running shoe. This place is great! We just recommended this place to our friend who also was a very pleased customer!
Joined the gym AND bought new running shoes! Love it. Phil fit me to a pair of Brooks that are amazing. I thought I was going to have to see a doctor or get custom orthotics. Apparently not. Who would've thought a brand name shoe could actually fit well? Not me.
I was only in Philly for a few days and had forgotten my running shoes. I called and the team said to come on over. I had a personalized fitting and it was a great experience. Joe really helped me make an informed decision. I tried on several shoes until we found the perfect pair for me and my feet!

An absolutely amazing experience! The two men, Phil and Kavon, that helped my brother and me were extraordinarily thorough with their services. They weren't just trying to sell pairs of shoes; they were trying to find us our best pairs of shoes. They were very professional. My brother and I were able to test the shoes in all the manners we wished and they were very patient with us. Definitely go there if looking for outstanding, professional, welcoming service.

Worked with Joe. He was terrific at helping me work through several shoe models to find what I needed. Not once did I feel as though I was "sold" anything.
