Not something for a hot day in the summer. By the end of our experience we were looking forward to the parking lot than the next display. This park is more geared for the older population as I think children would get bored after the low country zoo exhibit.

Overall the grounds are kept in great shape. The gardens and ponds are nice. Many statues and sculptures. The low country zoo was less than what we expected. With a few nice spots along the way. Being in the enclosure with the birds was a nice experience and made you feel as thou you were transported into the low country. The butterfly room has been closed for the last 2 years, I'm guessing due to covid. Also several structures under construction. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and enjoyed sharing their knowledge of the park. My favorite part was the bee exhibit.

Absolutely beautiful gardens! We enjoyed a relaxing day in these gardens, had lunch in one of the restaurants and walked out with many ideas for planting in our garden. Love it and will be back next time we are in South Carolina. Yes, visit the gift shop loaded with many unusual botanical reference items.

What a beautiful day and more so place. As I said, if everyone could just walk through this place our country and it's people would be in a better place. Coming off 17 we entered this tranquil setting. Since we had Members Guests Tickets we didn't have to stop at the Welcome Center to purchase the adult $20 tickets. The entry gate was maned by one of the most pleasant employees who took our tickets and gave us easy directions to the Main Building. Plenty of parking is good. First make sure you stop by the outside information booth, this is a must as you get to see the entire layout of the Gardens as well as great information 5 . Next I hope you have comfortable walking shoes because you will doing a lot of. The good thing is there is plenty of Bench seating throughout. Now be prepared to take in Mother Nature's Beauty, 250 year old Oaks, flowers ETC ETC. Also make sure you stop in and view all the building's with various artists works, you will be overwhelmed. May I also add that various works throughout the Gardens are beautiful so a SUPER BIG 5 . Now the only negatives. The Domestic Zoo, while it is nice for little kids it's not much for adults. The other wild animals areas were quite a let down as was the Butterfly exhibit that was closed due to issues surrounding COVID, so cannot hold that against them. Any food you buy is expensive as was my $6.50 Chili Hot Dog and $1.25 Small bag of chips. Water and drinks are $2.00 (you may want to bring your own lunch) so this entire groupings only gets 3 . With that said I am not going to let that affect our absolute enjoyment of the Gardens.

This place is a beautiful, truly delightful place to visit. I could easily spend hours snapping photos and not feel bored. I will stop in and spend a few hours anytime I'm in South Carolina.

Absolutely beautiful place to spend the day. The sculptures are amazing, as are the gardens as a whole. The layout allows you to meander through and take in all of the water features, indoor and outdoor sculptures, and nature's beauty in general. If you're looking for something out of the ordinary to do while you're in coastal South Carolina you owe it to yourself to stop by Brookgreen Gardens

Went here a year or so ago and all I can remember is how gorgeous it is. It's a large place with a variety of beautiful scenery. I'm a fan of mythology, so the well crafted states of the gods and other myths are breathtaking. It can be a little complicated to maneuver, but my god is it worth it.

This place is huge and gorgeous. It's really cool that your admission gets you 7 days because I don't know how you could possibly do it in one. The sculpture garden even in mid-october was vibrant and beautiful. We saw an alligator and some turtles and lots of birds.

The variety of sculpture was pretty cool, there were small, large, stone, metal, animals, people, abstract, and even carved poetry.

Masks were required for the indoor spaces which I appreciated, and the outdoor spaces didn't feel crowded at all.

Getting there and parking was very easy, and the trails are all very well kept.

The variety of things in the gift shop was cool, lots of local stuff and not the cheap garbage you see in most stores.

On the first day we did the sculpture garden, on the second day we went to the zoo. It was very quiet on a Sunday morning, the animals seemed happy and healthy. It was my first time getting to be up close with herons and I really enjoyed the experience.
