The community is very clean and the line staff are so amazing. They make you feel welcome and the residents are well taken care of. It was a great pleasure to interact with their Chef Melvin. He is such an awesome person who really take his job very seriously. All in all I will encourage families to consider Brookdale Midlothian as their first choice of senior living. Amazing home for seniors.

I wanted to be part of a team that cares about their residents and loves what they do. I found that at Brookdale Midlothian. I work with a great staff and I love to go to work everyday. I live with a purpose in my new home and I give back everyday!

Such a great place for seniors to live! Staff is caring and treats everyone as family. The community is well taken care of and the building smells great! This community is definitely worth a tour and consideration for your loved one.

First I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. Let me tell you about their memory care unit. They are very understaffed and the people that do work there, tend to work more than 13 hour days. I know because of what a person told me when my mother was there. The memory care patients are left alone more than 20 mins or more (we are talking 10-12 patients in a common area). We saw that with our own eyes. Our mother fell 3 times in one week. She has been at a rehab place for over 3 weeks and no falls because that place hires enough people to take care of their patients. Patients are left in their own waste for hours. One person's mother was there and fell constantly and they made her bring in 24 hour care for her mother. What is the excuse for this? If you can't have enough staff or aren't qualified to take care of patients with Alzheimer's/Dementia then you shouldn't offer this type of care. The night time staff is just as bad because they will be in a breakroom watching television all night as opposed to oh actually checking on patients. They will sell you a great sell but they do not follow through with what you are told. Save your money and for your own loved one's safety do not bring them to this place. I wouldn't recommend place at all,for the workload that is asked there should be more pay, can'tgo to management & express ur concerns unless they thinku gave an attitude,when it's how ur really feeling out of frustration because of Unfair situations that have occurred, Management often gives more favoritism to people who's been there the longest,always expecting a lot out if cnas to especially but no more money is ever brought up up automaticallydoes not really appreciate good,consistent employeesthe BEST parts to working at this place was the free food when the right cooks cooked & residents,there is such a disconnect &it's like a dark cloudsd over the place,turn over rate is horrible mainly dueto how it's ran,I know for a fact because of various people tellingme this themselvesbefore they left,main reasonwhy I left,couldn't take it anymore,&so call new DON is very unprofessional & unreasonable,ended up beingmy experiencewith her

I would never ever recommended this place for aging people with dementia and alzheimer.
Staff does not care about the patients well.
Staff is rude. Often they leave patients along what is not good for people with dementia.
One lady said they charge money lots.
I moved my father to another place.

I perform music at this facility. All of the staff I have encountered are personal and caring with their interactions with the residents. The residents that I talk to seem to enjoy their time here.

I know that the activity directors provide them with activities to provide the residents with memorable experiences. They also have churches whose congregants volunteer their time to come have a church services with the residents!
