how is the food so consistently poor, and hideously expensive? It defies reason and logic to have an industrial sized kitchen and no one who can work it. The most disappointing food experience ever.

Good beer.

Maybe you have a nice clubhouse but you are terrible neighbours. You continue to play very loud music during training sessions on weekdays and sometimes weekends. The council sent you a notice about it but you continue to ignore it. Your alarm goes off on a regular basis late at night, usually about 10pm. Please can t you sort it out and turn the music down or off.

The facilities are clean and well presented, the good in 'The Grill' were disappointing. The medium rare steaks were cooked medium. The Smokey taste to the steak is over bearing and unpleasant. The mash potato was cold. The lamb cutlets were small, dry and tasted old. Service was fine, they did their job, but there was no sense of 'going out of their way for our experience'. They took our order and brought our food. Wasn't bad. But wasn't great either. Would not return.

Had to walk through seemingly endless pokies to get to the bistro.

The waitress was condescending at the counter. The steak I ordered looked like a child's portion and as a part of the *gluten free* menu came with onion rings and chips battered to the max... Good thing I'm not highly allergic. Not to mention there was regular pasta on the gluten free menu!! PASTA CONTAINS WHEAT AND GLUTEN YOU FOOLS! after inquiring about this she said that she didn't know why it was or wasn't gluten free and didn't bother to check. My friend who ordered the pasta couldn't finish his meal as it tasted like reheated generic sauce. Absolutely horrible. As for the parmy... Ah finally a reasonable serving size... But what's that? Tasted like fake cheese and bacon buns you get for 80c down at Coles.

The waiter accidentally brought us another tables order and gave us a filthy look when we politely said we didn't order it!! The same waiter pushed through us at the counter and forced THREE of us to move around him when we were already out of the way.

Poor service and poor food priced at twice what it's worth. I can say I won't be going back there.

We organized a dinner with group of friends. We were excited with the seafood buffet. The prawns and same crab were soooo salty! So disappointed! Felt embarassed for inviting my friends over.

Fantastic place which is clean and well presented. Unfortunately we attended for a function and the recommended catering platter sizes were underwhelming. Only half the people were fed for lunch when the recommended sizing was purchased.
Otherwise a great venue!!

The food selection is a bit hit and miss depending on the night you go. The service is very good, but sometimes too overbearing with the clearing of plates. But still hands down top value for money for dining out, if you're a member (the cheaper price option)

Came here for a Saturday lunch at the new cafe. Our party of 8 were one of the only patrons here. Our meals came 40+ minutes after we ordered them. Seafood Lasagna was horrid and could not finish it. The Cherry Pie was obviously frozen and microwaved since it had a pastry so rubbery, I thought it was jelly. Overpriced garbage. Chef needs a visit from Gordon Ramsay.

Service was lovely, albeit late. Atmosphere and the new architecture is fantastic. Too bad we had to leave it with a sick stomach.

This place may have got a refurbishment but has gone down hill for all the wrong reasons. Just goes to show money doesnt do justice to an establishment its the people behind the scenes. Have a look at your security personnel

I haven't been to Broncos for about 8 months so we decided to catch up here. I was very disappointed with my meal as it was cold and they had the aircon up so it was also cold. I'm not happy and I don't think I will return to this place for a long time

Extremely disappointed tonight.

Extremely disappointed tonight.
Drove from the city to the leagues club with my son to have a meal..
We bought a chicken parmigiana and garlic bread, the chicken parmigane was extremely dry and the parmigan itself was horrible (like the topping of a ham and pineapple pizza) I normally don't complain but i drove past so many restaurants with my son because we like the Broncos leagues club..
First and last time i order that dish.

Anyway, now I need to Nimble it and move on....

Absolutely stunning venue! Amazing staff as well but I wasn't blown away by the food. Member prices are not too bad but make sure you check your order. My order was messed up completely and I ended up eating alone while the rest of our table ate dinner as mine had to go back

We went for lunch for the first time after the Covid19 closure.. All the anti Covid measures were in place though they could have had more hand cleansing stations. Membership renewal was free and our new cards were issued. Swiping them on arrival and on exiting takes the place of signing in.
We both had the 250gram rump steaks with chips, salad & choice of gravy, sauces.with drinks.
The meal was delicious, no gristle etc.
Great ambience as well.

On Wednesday April 4th 2018 my Mother Helen Young celebrated her 100th birthday at the Broncos Club. Bridget from the Club organised for her to meet some of the team and the Club presented her with her own Broncos jersey which the boys signed. She was thrilled to meet, Darius Boyd, Andrew McCullough, Sam Thaiday and retired Bronco's veteran Justin Hodges who was visiting the Club. She has not stopped smiling since and I would like to thank The Brisbane Broncos, Bridget, Darius, Andrew, Sam and Justin for making her special day even more special and for spending their time with her. After the meet and greet we enjoyed a delightful meal and a great day in the Club. Sincere thanks to all of you for making Mum feel so welcome. Pam Kratzmann.

I know that you cant please everyone but your service is the worst, I am not blaming your staff they have a tuff job and I can see that they are always short handed.
You offer Complementary coffee if you play the pokies, but every time I ask I am told that the machine is not working, why offer a service if you have no intention of delivering. I go to the Broncos every Monday and Thursday (Just left no coffee)I am not a big punter I only spend $40.00 a time but you have just lost me. (I am not paying $4+ for coffee, you have even taken away your $0.50 coffee) Sorry your fault.

Review update: After post my review here, I was contacted by Mikahlia the Marketing Coordinator of Broncos Leagues Club. She said it was not the standard that their Saturday Seafood Buffet has even been at in the past. So she offered to myself and the other 3 people a half-price voucher to go back and experience what it should be like. We booked again before the end of last year and it was one of the best nights for us on a seafood buffet. Everything was great, totally different from our first experience. it had a great variety of food plus the seafood buffet with excellent seafood options. The deserts were great and very tasty with the chocolate tower fondue fully of options of fruits and marshmallows.
I also want to point here that we did not tell them when we would be booking our next dinner.
Overall after a frustrating first time our second time surpassed our expectations. They really showed us that they really care about the customers. Now I can say that I recommend this restaurant to anyone, not just because of the great experience that we had in our second time, but for the attitude of recognising that some customers were unsatisfied and offered them a second visit to proof that they are better than we thought.

Very disappointed. I went with a group of 4 people on 08/09/18 Saturday night at 7 pm which was a seafood buffet night. When we arrived they came and told us that they had gone out of oysters, which we thought that it was very inconvenient already as it was only 7 pm. There were only a few options for food and all the food trays were almost empty. The only seafood options were crab and prawns. So literally $45 dollars to only eat crab and prawns. Then when it was around 7:50 pm a waitress came and told us that they would be closing the dessert buffet in 20 minutes. So we rushed to get some desert before they close it. They had a chocolate tower fondue, but it was already off for quite a while with the leftover chocolate hard and cold in the bottom. We asked for them to turn it on and they said that it could not be turned on and to try to get the hard chocolate in the bottom, in addition to that they didn't have more strawberries as they had before but only marshmallows. The ice cream pots were kept away so no ice cream either and only a couple desserts to choose from which was awful.
It was a terrible experience and ruined our night. I would never recommend this place for a "seafood" buffet night as they say it is, and for the price, I think they should delivery good food. Not leftovers as it was on that night.

Very, very disappointing. We ate in the cafe. Food was disgraceful and very over priced. 4 main meals and 3 of them looked like left overs. The paella was just left over yellow rice with frozen vegetables mixed through and a whole chicken thigh on top (it was supposed to be rabbit confit) the slow cooked beef was just left over roast. I reccomend to NEVER EAT AT THIS RESTURANT!!!!!! EVER!!!

Visited the club on Bathurst Sunday @ 10.00 am to watch the first 10 minutes of the race. No-one in the bar so I asked the barman if he would change the channel to the car race broadcast so I could just see the start . He flatly refused to do so, when I asked if there was somewhere in the club I could watch he response aws he didn't know and I would need to walk around until I found one. Left after that and have never been back since

Its used to be good value for money, but since the menu changed its been on the slide. I had the Nachos last time and they told me that they no longer have "normal" size nachos. Only a 'Senior/Kids' size. When the meal came out, it only had Sour Cream as a side (not guacamole). I asked about guacamole and they told me that they no longer offer it.... I am pretty sure last year the nachos were bigger and it included guac. Same price but less....!
Furthermore, last night we went to watch the game and got the Burger and chips. When we received the food, the buns they had used we so sweet, my wife could not finish her meal. How hard is it to make a burger? The buns reminded me of the one that Macca's uses on their cheeseburgers! (Could be classified as confectionery)
There is plenty of places that do "pub food" much better, and Cafe 88 seems to be a little lost about what they want to do. Pub Food Vs Modern Australia. I think next time I will eat somewhere else before going there. Real shame... :(

Went to the club for Sunday lunch, heard the radio advertising explaining the new chef, well it went wrong from the door, forgot my membership card so tried to sign in using reciprocal membership but the machine didn t work 2 of them, tried using my licence also didn t work, the young man on the countered tried and also failed, so I said I m a member and he looked my name up but gone from the data base? So rejoined as a member for $2.00 fine but all this took 15 minutes,
In the club was a wall with my late father and my name on it 25 year members but gone? Asked a few of the staff but no one new what I was talking about paid for the names to go on the wall, we then ordered a pizza for lunch and it was the worst pizza I ve eaten in years burnt, soggy and tasteless!!!!
myself and my wife left angry and hungry the club I visited since the 80 s has lost it s sole, if this is how the club is run no wonder the team I have supported since 1988 is busted

I visited the Broncos Leagues Club for the very first time for my birthday celebration. I found the staff engaging and very friendly and helpful. The vegetables were beautiful and well prepared. I did not like the lamb as much as I prefer roast beef dishes but overall it was fantastic as was the desert that I had in fact I went back for 2nds. The 1 negative is that I had to walk a distance to the lift and because I have trouble walking any distance it was quite distressing, I found that there was a ramp but this can cause problems with my feet walking up an incline but overall I was quite impressed.
