Have eaten here a couple of times over the course of the past couple of months. I felt like one bad experience wasn't enough to pass fair judgement and hoped my second visit would be better. Not at all. Unless you're there for the pokies, I'd steer clear. The chef doesn't know how to cook. What is he being paid for? Meals arrive to you stone cold, get sent back and come back cold again. Chef can't even cook chips. CHIPS! McCain's sell bags of frozen chips so that even the most mediocre home cook can serve a delicious side. Chef here can't even master that. My husband's food was raw. Absolute disaster. Save your money and stomach. Gordan Ramsey would be shook!

Had the misfortune of lunching on what must be the most overpriced salad in Brisbane today at the 88 Restaurant. $31 for a shovelful of rocket and coriander with three minute pieces of chicken tenderloin (there was initially only one till I sent the meal back !!). A tasty dressing accompanied it I have to admit but NOTHING ELSE ! I was lunching with a group of 8 women friends who were also very underwhealmed by the poor quality of the food at greatly inflated prices. Won't be wasting any more money on a return visit that's for sure!!

Dissapointed. Chicken schnitzel was like eating a damp book, mash potato was like eating playdoh. Wife had sirloin steak was cooked medium rare as ordered but was so chewy she only had half, if it wasn't for the the seasoning it would of been tasteless.
This is why we stopped coming here 2-3 years ago. Shows nothing's changed.

We went as my wife is a member to try out the place after the renovation, while the meal was good the lack of service was deplorable, after being seated we were told someone will be there to take our orders as it s all sit down service, well after 15 mins my wife went to the bar to get our drinks and while she was away a server came and took our order and that arrived promptly but no one came near to ask if we wanted another drink or clear our table .
We waited at least another 20 mins before my wife went to find a server to pay our account, we will certainly not recommend this establishment anymore, a slip of standards big time .

A big thank you to the wonderful bistro staff, manager and chiefs that served us on Tues 2/7/16. My family and i had dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday. My 7yr old daughter is coeliac and the manager and chiefs prepared the best gluten free meal she has ever had out ever (garlic prawns vegies and rice). Thankyou so much it was very appreciated. I can't comment if it's typical of these kinds of clubs. It is wheelchair accessible though staff couldn't seem to tell us where the accessible toilets are. The food was quite good though a little expensive for that type of food. There are poker machines for those like them.

Service was very bad. After being informed it was full service. No staff came near us.

Restaurant manger told us beef roast when we were served pork.

Garlic bread took 50 minutes and only came after we asked. I asked for the kids pack after 40 min wait and was told I will get it to you when I get to it by the restaurant manager..

No communication, no discount, no customer service recovery at all. If not the worst customer service I ve ever received it s was in the grand final.

2 hours for a Sunday lunch is rediculas, I don t advise and shall not be returning.

Such a shame. The Broncos Buffet used to be almost iconic.
At 1pm, the food had been sitting so long the pasta was dry and hard, the vegetables overcooked to mush and try asking the chef for a slice of roast - sheesh. She certainly wasn't wanting to serve food.
It says something when the food is so bad that we couldn't even finish half a plate.
And whose idea was it to not provide tea, coffee or water?
You are not going to make profits with this standard of food and poor service.

Old, cold chips, boring patty, one slice of tomato and one of beetroot. Super cold inside so had to order a hot chocolate in queensland summer.
A place falling out of time, maybe that it what makes it special.

Went for the seafood buffet last night. Booked and arrived at 700pm. The cold seafood selection included mussels, oysters, thawed out rubbery watery sand crab and wait for it..no prawns!!but an empty bowl of where they had been. When asked if there were any prawns left we were told no they were all gone!! Rest of the food was extremely average. Definitely not worth going here.

My boyfriend and I went on their steak night special and we're very disappointed. Food and drinks are affordable enough but our issues were with the steaks we ordered. We ordered medium and medium rare respectively and they were VERY raw. I can eat meat pretty rare but what I got looked like it was barely cooked and my boyfriend who ordered medium had a steak that was just as raw.
The positives: staff are friendly and helpful and the decor in the dining room is pleasant.

A very disappointing meal. 2 weeks ago the whiting , salad and chips meal was $19.95 and tonight the price had increased to $27.50. It was exactly the same meal. The new menu is very overpriced. Please let me know why there has been such a huge price rise.

Fist thing that hits you when you walk into the Broncos league club is the smell, I thought for one second we were walking into an indoor swimming pool the smell of chlorine knocks you for six. Had the seafood buffet last night, major disappointment. You have one chance to make a first impression. Seafood/ prawns looked like they had white spot on it. No taste, no seasoning. No variety of salads. Dessert bar is manned by staff - not sure why, it was pathetic. Where s your tea and coffee? Save your money and go to sizzlers! Drinks, deserts and plenty of salads all for the one price. We won t be back nor recommending to anyone. On a good note, staff were very friendly and attentive to service.

Big suburban Leagues Club, with a sizeable poker machine presence. All "accessible" in spite of some layout issues that are typical of venues that have been repeatedly extended and made over.

All the usual facilities including a number of bars, and fooderies. Restaurant food is typical rather than remarkable.

Members enjoy access to better parking facilities, and if you have to attend meetings hosted here, that is worth the membership on its own.

A large NEW facility has just been opened across the road that is well worth checking out.

Geographically, the club has a no similar venue to compete with , until say Gaythorne and Arana to the West, and Easts to the East.

If you live in Brisbane Inner West - this is your mega club !

Club was a nice environment, though is beginning to look a little dated throughout. Meals weren't particularly cheap, though drinks were about right. Tended to be a bit of an older crowd on a Sunday afternoon, though that may not always be the case. The predominant feature is of course, the poker machines, so if you're not really into that, there's not much else. Service was good.

I just finished a 3 day workshop in one of the function rooms at the club. I received exceptional service from Tabitha the event coordinator ensuring the workshop ran smoothly. She went above and beyond when I experienced technical difficulties and the participants appreciated the catering options and felt safe in the club with all COVID safe precautions in place. I would highly recommend the Bronco's Club as a function venue.
