Such a great museum displaying very cool modern artwork from the likes of Jeff Kooney, Barbara Kruger, Kara Walker, Andy Warhol and more.

Book the free tickets in advance online to save time on the queue and download the free app 'The Broad' for a guided tour explaining some of the work displayed as well as the architecture of the building itself.

Really enjoyed and fully recommend everyone to visit. What was great, was that I did not leave with a heavy feeling as I often do when visiting a modern art museum.

You have to check in to see the infinity mirrored rooms, so you'd better check in FIRST at the museum, visit the other rooms on the museum and later you'll receive an SMS when you are next in the queue

I love this place so much! Great place to take kids or foreigners! This museum displays some of our history, and fun other things. The line to get in gets packed fast so get there early as you can. But for the most part you'll be in shade. Here's just a few cool pics of the museum.

I've been to the most popular museums (Ex/ Louvre in Paris, MOMA in NYC, etc), and I must say - this is my favorite museum by far.
It is not filled with Renaissance art, and has a rather magnificent collection of items you will likely not see anywhere else.
Get there an hour early to line up, and sign up for the light room right away (it is right when you walk in the door, straight ahead, then to the right. There should be people there to guide you/lined up).

An incredible place with an innovative proposal. It is important to arrive very early, even an hour before it opens, as there are many people waiting, or to make a reservation three or four weeks in advance.

Great art museum and it's free!! The exhibits were thought provoking. I especially enjoyed the mirror room. Unfortunately, you are only allowed to be in there for 45 seconds.

Parking is great for downtown LA. You get parking validation and pay $17 for three hours.

Free admission. It's easy to reserved digital tickets online to send to our cell phone. A Sunday visit for 3:00. No line for us, checked in and we got in. Their own parking structure for $15. Gorgeous art and fun to walk through the gift shop. We have enjoyed our second visit to The Broad to view the new exhibits! Go and experience!

Just small enough to see everything in one go. The giant table is a lot of fun, just don't touch! The infinite star rooms are very pretty and well. You only have 45 seconds, so don't spend it all taking photos!

We got our tickets online around 2 months in advance, as we knew lines were long if you want to purchase the tickets over there. We were there as soon as they opened and manage to visit it without huge crowds. Really enjoyed this museum and I highly recommend it whether you are into art or not.

This is a great museum to check out some very nice contemporary art. It's free to the public but I do recommend reserving tickets online to have easy and speedy access to the museum. They do have parking at their facility, but you can also find some reasonable priced parking nearby. The museum is also located reasonably close to A lot a great locations downtown.

I greatly recommend reserving tickets in advance when possible. Line outside grew quite long but as long as you reserve a free ticket ahead of time you can just waltz right in. Amazing collection. I personally didn't do all too much research on the museum before going and wasn't expecting to see such iconic and prolific pieces and artists. In the stairwell leading downstairs from the main floor there are little open windows to view some kind of storage or archive. Which I found incredibly interesting and was pretty facinated by. Amazing museum.

Make sure to come here EARLY. The place is free, so unless you booked online (with a waiting list of over 2 months), you should come here before they open. Otherwise you will indeed have to wait for quite a while under LA sun.
Great modern art inside, I would definitely recommend it to family and friends coming to LA. Overall the museum can be done under 2 hours, unless you are on a waiting list for an exhibition.

A very chic and vibrant art museum in downtown Los Angeles. It is a block from the Disney Concert Hall. The 3rd floor is rooms filled with modern art ranging from Andy Warhol to Jeff Koons. Many of the most popular, special exhibits you have to signup to see in addition to buying Museum access tickets. Overall a cutting edge modern art museum in the heart of downtown LA. A definite destination when coming into LA.

I love the new addition to the downtown cultural/arts hub that is just growing and growing. It really gives a presence from the outside and that's hard to do with the Disney Concert Hall next to you. Great contemporary collection and it's free. Make sure to get your tickets online!

I loved it! Awesome pieces that are bright and fun but also have meaning and make you think! It's great that it's FREE when you make reservations in advanced if not there's a stand by line. I didn't get to see the infinity mirror exhibit because they only give a certain amount of tickets :( but other than that it is great.

Very interesting art exhibits, and best of all, it's free! You should get there early, though, as there is a big line. There is one mirrored art exhibit inside that you can also view, but is limited to a certain amount of tickets a day. It's best you gonon their website for more info.

Arts gallery/ museum.
Many unique arts here, good for those art lovers, or tourist whom like to kills time in LA.
The part that makes me bit disappointed is the timing they gave visitor in the dark room with lighting is too little to even take for a photos which is only 45 seconds. LoL. After people Q~ing up for about an hour or more only to get into the museum, and another Q for this room. Ridiculous.

This museum is simply amazing. I have come several times, alone, with family, or with a partner; Every time I liked it a lot, the architecture, the exhibitions ... everything. The best of all is that it is FREE, that if, you must enter with a ticket, but this is free. I recommend going at times that there are not many people, to enjoy more.

My family and I went here just to check the hype of this museum. The building was easy to find, they have their own parking area with free 2hr validation. We didnt get reservation online and decided to just go there and wait in line. Wait time on a friday afternoon was not that bad surprisingly. It took us like 10mins to get in. Place was nice with lots of paintings and artwork. The huge chairs and tables and the balloon dog was entertaining and basically, thats it. It was a good "go there one time" experience only.

I am normally not a big fan of some contemporary art but the Broad has a pretty diverse collection that that have soemthing for everyone. You do not need a reservation to take advantage of the free admission but it is recommended for the Infinity Lights exhibit.

Impressive on many levels. The collection is well thought-out and displayed with lots of space. The building itself is gorgeous and the facilities are first class. Recommended highly!

The building itself is stunning! Part of me wanted to lay on the gallery floor and stare at the ceiling and watch the light change as the day went by. Beautifully designed and constructed.

The collections of work at The Broad have been criticized, both positively and negatively, and without going into any personal opinions, I think that the conversation it has created since the opening is what I think is so great about it. People may just go to see giant metallic balloon animal dogs or walk under a table and chairs that is almost obscenely large. But they also are seeing work that follows a social, political or otherwise relevant thread that is they may actually relate to because of how recent much of the work is. Though the amount of people posing in front of certain works for a snapshot or a selfie or even having photos taken as your maternity photos (that is not a lie.... I witnessed this) is obnoxious at times, I m glad people are there that otherwise may have had no interest in a museum of any sort. I applaud The Broad for creating such a space like this.

Visited on President's day and waited about 30 minutes to get into the museum for free general admission. Did not know what to expect, but the collection was awesome! Great collection of works, and was very happy to see Takashi Murakami pieces in person.

as far as free museums go, this is one of the best! i highly recommend getting a ticket in advance and not waiting in the 2+ hour line outside the day of... this is a huge museum and a great collection. i couldn't believe how modern the architecture is. i can't wait to come back and see their next open exhibit.

Interesting take on Art - Modern & Contemporary ... critiques the society the way it is now.. Few exhibits stumped us. They are the museum with relatively younger Audience compared to most of the other Museums in America.
