Amazing building and collection. The process for entry is different from most museums, you either have to reserve free timed tickets at least a week before your visit or wait in a standby line for what averages to about an hour. It is an interesting line to stand in though, you are up against the edge of the building which is beautifully designed and constantly changing and modulating.
Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon with family and friends. Advance ticketing is a must on weekends
A beautiful museum with a variety of artists and works. The tickets are free but I also ordered them in advance online. The employees are really friendly and the pieces are interesting. If you want to see the Yayoi kusama exhibit you have to register and most likely wait in line. It s a 45 seconds in the room and max is 4 people in the room. Enjoy it while it lasts !
It was pretty interesting although there's a lot of people that aren't interested in the art but instead their next social media post.
A very special and beautiful museum! If you have time to go I recommend it because it is spacious and not many people accumulate anywhere.
Only highlight from the museum was the balloon animal artwork. Also don't expect a text message for the infinity room. We queued up at 9:30am and checked in for the infinity room around 10:15am. They said it would be a 45min wait. We didn't get a text and it was 60mins. We walked back downstairs and saw a huge queue for the infinity room and was asked to join the queue or wait until the queue gets shorter because "sometimes our text messages are not going through"..... what was the point of coming in early? People who arrived around 11am were able to join the queue for the room.
Great modern art in a beautiful building! The cool skylight ceiling lights the art beautifully!
General admission being free is great. Awesome exibits.
Without obtaining advance tickets the wait can be long but there is a wide selection of artistic pieces and general creativity everywhere. Admission is free, just try to get tickets in advance.
Nice museum small thou!!!! Expensive and expect long lines for exhibits....
This place is amazing to come and check out it has alot of beautiful art that anyone would enjoy , the wait will range from 30 minutes to 3 hours so plan accordingly. You can also follow them on Twitter ( broad wait time) to get up to date information.
One of the best contemporary museums in the world. A must in LA. Impressive Basquiat room but the rest is great.
greatly recommend reserving tickets in advance when possible. Line outside grew quite long but as long as you reserve a free ticket ahead of time you can just waltz right in. Amazing collection.
Love this place. A fantastic collection. Great docents. Modern entry and ticketing systems. I recommend a couple of hours. You'll meander and reflect.
We need more museums like these. Free admission. Excellent gallery. Interesting architecture.
Wished we had signed up for the infinity room first. We were unable to wait an hour.
It was good to see Jeff Kuns work! Balloon dog! rabbit! Tulip! You can see Michael Jackson's work! Free admission if booked in advance. The tickets are almost sold out on that day. Advance reservation is recommended!
Completely impressive collection. Biggest and best contemporary art I've seen with my own eyes.
Crowded, but the Jasper John's exhibit they had was top notch! Pro Tip:If you're in town on a short trip and decide to visit without having planned ahead, the website will make you think they are sold out. But, call in and they'll usually have some standby tickets available if you decide to walk over.
Infinity and obliteration. Polka dots and big pink balls. Get a ticket asap and revel in the transformative inspired joyous work of Yayoi Kusama...highly recommend.
An incredible blending of architecture and culture. The Broad organization has done an immeasurable job of creating a actively managed and resourceful destination in Los Angeles. The museum itself is stocked with an incredible collection of contemporary artists and the staff are all very knowledgeable of the art and the building. It's a must if you are in the downtown area.
A mavelous architecture with awesome contemporary art pieces. Strongly recommended to pay a visit.
The Broad is a fantastic contemporary museum that is free to get into. You only need to pay for parking. Parking at the Broad is $12 when you get the ticket validated at the museum, however it only works if you leave the parking garage within 3 hours. This is tough to do if you have to wait in line for an hour. An excellent sight to see with the family. Even young kids as they will be mesmerized by some of the colorful displays.
Some very interesting exhibitions here. Prepare for a long queue.
Great museum. Free. Unmissable. Upon arrival schedule the exhibition of mirrors. Underground parking 15 dollars with validation in the museum. There are several nearby parking lots that can be paid for online (bestparking or hotspot) for 7 to 10 dollars. If you do not book the museum entrance in advance there is a queue at the venue. Worth it. Minimum 1 hour on site.
Sweet museum, loved the architecture, loved the art, did not love the queue.
Your parking pay stations don't work. Had validation. It was well within the time limit, had not expired. Still paid $25. Parking lot staff in general was incredibly rude both before and after the $25 incident. Broad itself is great. Your parking service and staffing need a massive overhaul.
Recent museum in downtown Los Angeles worth a visit.
Free modern art museum right next to the Walt Disney concert hall. Reservation is required.
Reserve your tickets and get in sooner. Alot of good exhibits and friendly staff.
You should come here as a local or a tourist. I've always seen people take pictures of the big table but i didnt think it'd amaze me until i went. And the infinity room is a must see as well. You will gasp with beauty
Incredible museum, both in terms of the collection and the architecture of the museum itself. There's often a long wait at peak times but keep an eye on their "Broad Standby" Twitter.
Amazing! Just remember to also get reservations for the infinity room. You need both.
This is one of the most modern and well curated museums in the world, you can come by and only take a look at the architecture if you are not really into art, the place is so beautiful and well designed, and also a few block is the Disney concert hall which is also really nice to look on Remember to plan your visit and try to get early because the place gets crowded! Parking is also an issue.
Fairly new Museum in Los Angeles with a wonderful collection of Modern Art and the occasional spectacular interactive piece great place to take families dates and so on. They are currently redoing the first floor so all of it is available to look at is the collection on the third floor be prepared to spend at least 30 minutes waiting in line and the art on the third floor can be viewed in about an hour and a half perhaps more if you would like a guided tour your best bet would be to pick a time slot for the infinity mirror interactive display and then go enjoy the collection while you wait for your time slot. Exit through the gift shop and there are plenty of wonderful neighborhood food and drink options available for basically any budget.
Not a fan of modern art... But it was cool, specially the music and video exposition .. that was amazing
A premiere collection of modern art. The museum itself is often worthy of more appreciation than some of the artwork.
Ultra pretentious art gallery. Infinity room is the bees knees and earned all three stars. Parking was affordable.
Loved the place, booked on the website and got in without paying anything.
It is a very fun museum. You don't need to know the picture!
A must visit in LA, its a free museum with lots of interesting modern arts, even our kids enjoy it. Reserved your tickets online to skip the long lines.
It's a lot smaller than it seems since the second floor is mostly work spaces and not actually exhibits.
Free. Reserve special exhibits early. Music center employees can show badge at the door to skip waiting in line.
Room with Infinite Mirrors is an amazing, building is great, almost entire exhibition is awesome.
Free admission to this museum! I liked the selection of art.
The works of art and the artists very good.! The museum just as cute
I am not really into modern art but the docent was wonderful and made art seem relevant! However, the Infinity exhibit was the most fascinating (see you he bright red and green photos for a glimpse.)
Wonderful place. Easy to navigate, and an impressive collection with something for everyone to enjoy. Bought tickets beforehand and went right in front no waiting. We had lunch right outside at Otium (fun). It was a perfect day..
Recently went for the first time. What a great way to spend the day. I would highly recommend it.
Enjoyable time at the Broad. Free admission and flexible hours make this museum
Reserve your ticket with time to avoid rows. It's a nice experience ...
Museum that brings great times great pictures only able to make that determination yourself when you visit
Great exhibits. Contemporary interior design and use of space. Especially like how the escalator was aesthetically integrated into design. Appreciate that museum is open FREE to the public on THURSDAY. Slight confusion on notification regarding scheduled time.to visit Infinity Room installation.
It is next to Walt Disney Hong. Beautiful building with unique lines.
Went here witth my cousin! Can spend an hour & more here viewing all of the different rooms of great art work! Loved it for sure!
It's a newest museum in downtown LA, adjacent to wall desney concern hall, exhibits contemporary art, and it's very popular since it's opening.
Great exhibits in a beautifully designed environment.
Some nice big pieces, but there wasn't as much gallery space as you would expect.
My sister reserved tickets ahead of time so the wait was minimal (under 10 minutes). This was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it!
For anyone with children The Broad ought to be a regular spot on the calendar: they have, along with LACMA, the best family weekend events in Southern California (and in terms of the quality of the arts and crafts materials I think that they are better than LACMA).
One of the best modern art museums I have visited recently, 100% recommendable.
Phenomenal, simple, beautiful, free, space, easy to park .... In short I'm not a fan of modern art with paintings where you put years to understand the idea or to take pleasure. At the broad I laughed, I had fun, I even tested stuff, a super nice time If you want to spend a good time alone, with family or friends ....... go for it and book on the internet! I love
The place and the artworks are amazing. People who are into art should visit once.
Ahhhh...beautifull, majestic yet ultra modern. A must. Make sure to sign up for the special events. The price is right..Free. .!
It is a great place to enjoy art and have fun at same time!!!
Incredible contemporary art museum next to the famous Disney building. Make sure you book a place. As it's host to trendy pieces (and most importantly it's free) queues form outside. Surprised to see some of my favourite pieces from Mori in Tokyo and Pompidou in Paris. Lucky Americans have them curated in one place! Located a few mins away from the fantastic Grand Central Market (food!)
It was fun but looking back I would have spent my time elsewhere. If you're going to go and want to see the Infinity Room, you have to go first thing in the morning. If you don't go to the Infinity Room you could do the whole place in an hour. And you should get tickets online because the line in the middle of the day is ridiculous. It's really close to The Last Bookstore and the OUE so you can cross a lot off your list the same day.
