This place is great for a friends in town visit or occasional gloomy weekend activity. It does get crowded but it s not too bad. Definitely do online tickets ahead and go in early to get on a standby line for the Mirror room. Expect to spend all day here.

This is a very nice part of town. The streets leading to the musuem is quite a bit cleaner, less vagrants and nice architecture. Not to mention the iconic Walth Disney concert hall just next door.

Planning ahead will be pertinent if you want to get into the musuem fast. We booked the free tickects online and turned up in the appointed time for entry.

The contemporary architecture of the building is quite impressive and the rounded moulds of the interior spaces is just as stunning.

The art pieces are focused on contemporary atistes which is awesome. In fact wondering down the curation, I chanced upon the story that Eli Broad (who collected these art pieces) trading off a Vincent Van Gogh for a contemporary piece shows how strong the desire to promote them.

Although there are several sections where I can make no heads or tails of the work. There are other familiar sections such as the those featuring Jeff Koons and Roy Lichtenstein. I particularly enjoyed the latter and also the caption that described a bit more of his works brought new appreciation. Cecily Brown was another highlight.

Overall, it definitely warrants a visit if you are in DTLA. And onyl to soak in the culture permeating the air.

This museum was one of my favorites. I tried RSVPing weeks and ahead but sadly they were booked so my girlfriend and I decided to just head there to see how long the wait time would be and it was about 15 minutes, maybe less. If you appreciate art you'll like this

add this to your list if you re visiting LA, or are a lover of modern art. the building's architecture alone is really interesting with amazing natural light used throughout. the Jasper John exhibit was incredible - and the only location in the USA. plenty of 'VSA' helpers around to answer your questions. fun for all ages and free. sign up to see Yayoi Kusama s infinity mirrors, now a permanent installation!

Cannot compliment this place enough! When you reserve a time ahead of time the tickets to get in are free! We went and had an amazing time exploring the vast amount of exhibits on display. Staff was very nice and seemed passionate about art, and the art was very unique and from many different backgrounds. Not to mention it's right in the middle of Downtown LA. Highly recommend!!

For the infinity room, it's first come first serve for 1 or 2 ppl only in room at time for 45 seconds no matter how many people r in room u only get 45 seconds total. Once you are allowed in musuem you must immediately make a left thru the entrance doors to wait in line to sign up for your spot for the infinity room. 1 person can reserve up to 8 spots. There is a virtual que. If the texts are working they will text you when it's your time or you can request the webpage which you can refresh to check your spot. Went in at 1130 checkin, first in group, signed up and was in que for group number 48 was about 1 hour 30 min wait. Again you don't need to wait in line your in a virtual que. Once it's your time you checkin where the infinity room is and wait your turn for your 45 seconds.

The collection is debatable in its quality. It seems like it was curated by someone who wikipedia'd "modern art" and grabbed the first 15 pieces that showed up. That aside, the architecture, design and vibe of this museum are outstanding. It is a great contribution to the L.A museum scene and I will take my out of town guests here if they are interested in lite-art and good times.

The Broad offers the hits from the most famous names in contemporary art. Entrance is free if you reserve in advance. The main draw here is the light room by Kusama, also requires advanced reservation. The broad is cool on the surface but lacks depth. This is a great museum for your Instagram but offers little challenge for the intellect. Visit but make sure to plan ahead and for things to do after a short but sweet visit.

This is the Broad Art Museum that just opened in September 2015. Eri & Edith Broad's private property was invested, and admission is free. 2000 pieces of contemporary art are on display. In Japan, companies sometimes have such museums, but usually they are charged. This is what true social contribution means.

Good

I give this museum a four out of five star rating simply because I'm not a big fan of modern art. Having said that, this museum has made me appreciate modern art a little bit more. It's a very clean, well used of space with plenty of pieces to admire.

The Broad was a delicious treat for the senses. The building, the permanent collection and the Jasper Johns exhibition were amazing to experience. The staff were pleasant and helpful and parking was easy to access. I m looking forward to my next visits

A pretty museum with some very cool attractions. You really have to like Modern Art though! They do have an infinity room which I am sure is very cool. There is usually a line and it does close earlier than the museum so if you want to see it, plan ahead!

As an art lover I really enjoyed my visit. The only downside is that it takes around 2-3 hours to enter the infinity room. I really wanted to experience it but the museum is not big enough to waste 2 hours waiting.

Love love love the Broad! Def recommend and would go again. Try out neighbor O before visiting the Broad. The admission is free for both The Broad and the installation. This is a must do if in the L.A. area.

The museum is truly amazing. The building itself is stunning! Part of me wanted to lay on the gallery floor. They had many pieces of art from big names like Andy Warhol and many others.

Interesting and varied mostly wall art. Takes about 4 hours to go through the whole museum. Had trouble with audio tour but staff adjoining each exhibit is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience with a reservation.

Free museum. Wait time said 30 minutes on Twitter 18 minutes ago, when we got there got in within a minute! They explain rules to you on what you cannot/can do. I had to wear my backpack in front of me so in case I took a photo it wouldn't bump the artwork.

I enjoyed the broad inside and out. Just wish that you were able to see more without paying. There are a ton of INSTAGRAMABLE spots all over the facility. If you are in the La, it s definitely I must see.

For a free museum, this excellent. Great selection of modern art with a nice focus on contemporary pieces. The infinity room is also a must visit.

Would suggest booking online and coming early since there is usually a big line on the day to get in. The building it self is pretty cool too!

A must visit in LA

Fantastic modern art museum. They have work from all the big artists you would want to see; Koons, Lichtenstein, Warhol, basquiat, and many more.

The first floor is a rotating exhibit which was interesting to see as well. Would definitely recommend to any art fan.

I was able to reserve 2 tickets around March for an April visit. I saw online that they were booked until May but I received an email about new open dates so definitely sign up for email alerts! If you don't have reservations, you would have to wait in the stand by line. When we went there on a Tuesday for our 2:30 admission, the stand-by line to get into the Broad wasn't that bad so I would advise you to go on a weekday if you don't have reserved tickets! Also, if you want to see the Infinity Room, get an early admission time (or if you will be on stand by, go before they open!) because by the time we got there, there weren't any more spots available for that exhibit. There's a standby line (again!) for no-shows but we didn't bother any more because the museum was gonna close at 5 and we didn't want to spend the rest of our time waiting in line.

They have really cool exhibits and there are so many people taking photos for Instagram! Lol. You'd have to be patient for your turn to get your perfect Instagram photo.

Parking is $12 for 3 hours with validation. I guess that's fair considering admission to The Broad is free!

It is a famous architecture that combines structure and design.
It is a space that is as good as and unobtrusive to the contemporary art works on display. Museums are categorized as either exhibition spaces that focus on not getting in the way or exhibition spaces that are fitted to fixed works. This museum is a wonderfully assertive and unobtrusive museum. It's a great feeling.

For a place so HUGE, and a constant line to get in, you would think there was art up on the display. A few Liechtenstein, One of those Damien Hirst paintings with just colored circles, (the building is fancy enough to have For The Love Of God to be shown there). All the art is nice though, but too much modern art in one place left me thinking "this is too ridiculous!"

OMFG

The museum was so good! There is a bit of waiting before entering the museum (1 hour) and there is a separate queue of 15 min for the famous infinity room, which I recommend! Your 45 seconds alone in this room are so magical this is a feeling I would never forget.
Plus, the top floor is free, and you have a lot of different contemporary pieces of art, I'm sure you'll find something interesting to look at
