Dr. Gelfant is absolutely, hands down the BEST surgeon.
I had went to see him twice, during a very rough time in my life. I was going through domestic violence and had very, very low self esteem. I share in my biography the reason why I initially had a surgery and I am proud to say he was my surgeon!
In fact I know I have referred well over 30+ clients to him and each one has the same sentiments. He is the best, they love him and would go back.
I am disheartened to read a few negative reviews; we as human beings are all different and have different genetic issues. Therefore we are not all going to look alike. Nor do we all have the same health issues or ultimately the same results as per say a friend / family member or associate.
I do have to see him soon , haven t booked but will be as there is no one else I feel more comfortable with then a professional, who set my own nerves at ease, and helped boost my self esteem through the roof.
So this review is random, and to say thank you ... although almost a decade later, I am still very happy.

I knew I wanted surgery for a really long time, the researching time was probably the hardest but seeing how many great reviews Dr Gelfant had, it was easy when it came down to narrowing the doctors I would be seeing. I had booked 3 consultations & thought for sure I would be seeing them all prior to making a final decision, however after I met with his team, I knew that I would be in good hands. I had my surgery on June 4th, 2019 and I am a bit over two months now & I couldn't be happier. Love the results so far & can't wait to see the final results once they are settled. I am happy with all the follow ups from Jessie & Kristy. They were so sweet & amazing. They always replied right away when I had questions. If I needed to go through this process again with Dr Gelfant, I wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.
Dr Gelfant is the best, hands down. I am 37 years old, and I was looking to get quite larger breasts. I went to a couple consultations before meeting Dr. Gelfant. Upon meeting him, I knew right away he would be my surgeon. He walked me through the process, what I could expect, and what I could not expect. There was no gray area. He made me feel very comfortable that I was going to receive the best possible outcome. He listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and treated me with respect. Him, his staff, and the surgical staff at Cambie surgical centre were incredible. I definitely recommend Dr. Gelfant
Receptionist was super rude to me. I sent a follow-up email a week ago, trying to confirm my appointment date and time after the first email I received from them (A week ago) - with no information about my upcoming appointment . I finally got a response from them and got an email from them today, with my appointment time, saying I m scheduled to come in, also today ?! So with no previous warning, according to my records, they scheduled me in, without communicating to me that they scheduled me in. I emailed them back, stating that I was more or less unhappy with having to reschedule my entire day, with the lack of communication on their end. The receptionist called me, asking if I was angry. I said yes, and calmly explained my situation. She took no responsibility, and said it was my fault that I didn t review past emails from them regarding scheduling (which I never received). So, I tried to rationally explain over the phone, how can I take responsibility for something that I never received from them ... She kept cutting off what I was trying to say, being very dismissive, raising her voice, and rudely saying that I was being aggressive . Shocked at her comment, thinking we were going to have a calm rational discussion about scheduling and miscommunication, she finished off the conversation by basically saying that they couldn t help me today, and they were going to cancel my appointment. I started to say something, but then she hung up the phone on me! It s an appointment I have been waiting for, for months. I felt it was really unprofessional, and she was trying to spin it that I was the aggressor in the conversation, rather than her. Rather than hearing me out, and having a conversation with a client/customer, she rudely shut me down. Maybe she was having a bad day, but the way she just cancelled my appointment, then hung up on me in mid conversation... Not cool. Another work associate of theirs, or the HR department called me to hear my side of the story, but they ended up dismissing my points, and just sided with her anyways. Looking at the comments in this review section, I see that I m not the only person who has had this kind of personal experience with them. Hopefully this will encourage a change of attitude within their business.
I was very nervous when deciding to go under general anaesthetic for my surgery. Dr. Gelfant and his staff put me at ease. They were informative, caring, and put my mind at ease. My after care and follow-ups have been excellent, any questions I had were answered quickly. I d highly recommend dr. Gelfant and his staff!!
