A visit of the MIT was a dream of my childhood in the sixties in the GDR/ East Germany. In 2012 we visited the MIT and the Broad Institute together with our daughter and two grandchildren.

I came here for a seminar on medicinal chemistry. The facility was in excellent shape. Of note, I loved the fact that there was no shortage of power outlets for people with laptops in the lecture halls.
Feng Zhang, who grew up in my hometown of Des Moines is helping to make this institution famous. I could see his work here someday earning him a Nobel Prize for genetic research.
Good place, many outlets to power devices. Seminar was ok but same faces than everywhere else. Again, nice place, I should judge it based on the seminar itself. They do amazing R&D here, support if you can.
I could give this place 0 stars. Im traveling outside the country and I got a covid test done here. I need it to travel outside the country for a funeral and now I CANT get on the plane because this company messed up my birthdate so now I cant see my result to show before boarding the plane. This place completely messed up. Seriously how do you mess up someones birthday to see results? Dont get your covid test done through this place. I also emailed for help and someone messaged me back saying they would call me to help me but I never got a call back!!
The Broad Institute is one of the extraordinary centers of research in Cambridge, and is a terrific facility for conferences.
