Brittania hotel nottingham Review

I've stayed here on several occasions in the past and although it's a little old and could do with a face lift, its centrally located and at a reasonable price within my employers budget. Staff were all great and when there was a misunderstanding regarding whether my last nights stay included breakfast, the duty supervisor did the right thing and gave me a voucher to cover breakfast in their restaurant. If the company was to spend some money on upgrading/redecorating the place, its be much easier to recommend to others but it was good enough for my needs.

It is a budget and I mean budget hotel, it feels like a YMCA more than a hotel it's not the worst I've stayed in but can do with giving the place a deep clean. And fixing the broken drawer and a cover over the ends of the sofa would have been preferable to the threadbare look. All amenities were provided and the staff were very helpful. Shame the shabbyness of the room let it down or it would have been a lovely little hotel.

We arrived, checked in and headed to the 6th floor. As soon as the lift door opened we was hit with the strongest stench of weed since a weekend visit to Amsterdam. This wasn't just a one of comment, 14 of us said exactly the same.

It's a non smoking hotel so no idea why the smell was so bad.

We entered the room not sure what to expect and the room was dated but why on earth would you only paint half the door?

The staff were excellent but the hotel is very dated, its cheap and your central.

Would I recommend or ever stay again? No but for a one off we survived.

I still have no idea how management, cleaners, maintenance staff have not picked up on the smell.

3 star hotel with an excellent history let go. Poor upkeep makes it a 1 or 2 star hotel. Bed hasn't been changed in over 10 years, TV over 15 years old. Bed up against the wall should be in tgr middle of the wall. The bathroom was cleaner than the room for sleeping in.

Unprofessional, I was given a room,with peoples belongings in,spoke to the manager and she apologised and gave us the bridal suite,which needed alot work doing to it,then went to bar to get coffee and the machine was not working ......not a nice place to stop.

Hotel is dated. Room has no heating so has a portable heater in the corner of the room. Carpets are stained, toilet bowl is cracked. To be fair to them they ve obviously done their best to clean the room it just need some investment in a renovation.

Bed is clean however due to the other faults

I've stayed at this hotel several times now and I love it. The staff goes above and beyond for their guests. They are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and you can walk to a ton of places. The rooms are small, but well laid out and space is efficiently used.

We had to stay in this hotel because it was burning g in the Park plaza across the street.

I can not recommend this hotel. The bed was ok, but everything else ... Without words. Just look at some pictures.

Why are there handcleaning things on every floor? Andy do they look so dicusting from underneath?

Firstly the location is perfect with a fantastic bar (bear and lace) right outside and I can't fault the staff, they were all very friendly. The price for an evening was really good value but you get what you pay for as the decor is dated and the cleanliness isn't good in the rooms. It's definitely in need of a refurb but if your looking to spend little time in the room and you want a cheap central hotel with friendly staff this is the place.

I do not have to come back to this hotel again. Everything is old in the room. Very expensive. Carpeting in the very dirty room.
