Worst council to deal with. Very rude and unresponsive. Especially the Engineering Services Team (drainage and subdivision).

Lazy managers who get paid a fortune to do nothing !! Delegate!!!
Every time I try to make suggestions, their systems keep crashing. It's like they want to fail.
There's so much that can be done to make this a better place, but it's clear they're not really doing enough. I've been reading their plans for years and they just keep delaying projects further and further or scraping them altogether.
And it's clear they're relying too much on hope/chance that investors will invest because of Sunshine's proximity to make road and rail connections and continue the trend of investment after the RRL, Foundry Towers and Brimbank Civic Centre. But let's be real. That's not going to happen. It's Sunshine! - The place people want to avoid. That investment momentum argument has lost all ground. If anything, this place gets worse by the year.
And to top it all off, we've now got a joke of a mayor. Gotta love scum-shine!
Rates are ridiculously expensive. Valuation assessed at above market rates. Other councils are more conservative in their assessments, in case of fluctuations in the market. Eg current housing market crash. Utter BS
The Parks and Gardens crew did an amazing job of trimming the 4 trees on my nature strip (corner block). Excellent work, the trees were trimmed very well and branches were cleaned up afterwards.
Always very helpfull. Whenever I have been in touch for any thing be it a missed bin collection or anything the response is always very prompt and positive. Very very helpfull.
1. Don't care that 14 elderly residents have no location for their waste bins to be collected, or for their families and carers to pick them up due to the Council conducting inappropriate (and permanent) paving works,
2. Shameful mismanagement. No consulation.
Who needs library in today's day and age. Everyone has their devices and internet and can get all the information online. No one reads books these days. People can buy their own little Amazon reader. Shut down these libraries and use that money to cut rates that are so freaking high.
Extremely disappointed in Brimbank Council s decision to close its family daycare scheme without at least consulting families and educators.
A lot of children have lost access to high quality childcare and educators their jobs.
No reasonable explanation was provided or realistic options given for those who require care in small groups, with more one on one attention in a home based environment. No other childcare offers the community so many types of care.
No opportunity was provided by the council to discuss potential closure of the scheme with its key stakeholders; the residents of Brimbank, nor the families who use the service or those whose livelihoods hung in the balance.
Confused on how Brimbank council managed to ignore its own constituents - the early childhood educators who are almost all from a culturally and linguistically diverse background the same group they claim to support and celebrate.
In any case it certainly is an odd choice to remove a source of income for educators and potentially parents reliant on this service in one of Melbourne s most diverse and disadvantaged communities.
To the Executive management team at Brimbank Council or whoever this involved, next time please discuss with the community before making and signing off on such decisions which impact so many, it s all we ask.
For those looking for family daycare (families or educators) please contact Family Daycare Australia or use the Department of Education and Training s Child care finder online to view childcare in your area.
Thanks Brimbank Council - yet again, another experience of prompt, friendly and efficient customer service. Very much appreciated.
Customer service is great, Planning department was very helpful. They get back to you within 24 hours or as soon as they can :)
As a resident in Melbourne's West I am extremely disappointed on the expanding of the Ravenhall tip. The EPA wants us to report the pollution, but its to late when it's in the air that adults and kids breath in . I just have been told it will be the largest in the southern hemisphere . I am very concerned about the landfill pollution and there has been reports from the EPA there were rising levels of leachate. I had a lengthy discussion with Lucinder from Brimbank City Council who is definitely on the residents side about this issue and was very supportive hence the five stars. However, now it's up to the residents of this City Council to take on the fight and stop the government allowing Cleanaway to pollute our air and damage the health of kids and future generations.
Very nice new building, nice staff and helpfull to me when i'm looking for a book or asking an question to one of the staff. The libary is clean and modern which is great money well spent kid friendly and i really like the study space it's quite when i need to study and do work. But the cafe needs to be open longer. Brimbank City Council is no1 and this is the best area to live in other than the city. Keep it up the great work and libary's are great holding a book in your hands is better than going on the internet.
Customer service representative was really helpful and provided me with all the information I needed she was not pushy or made me feel unwelcome
Customer Service was prompt, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I was pleasantly surprised. Well done.
My review is based on my disability the parking bay at the front has no ramp for my walker and you have to walk on the road to go to the corner to go in.
On my survey of the library I could not see any seating that had arms that would help older people and persons like me.
Finally after seeing all the new library I exited on the end close to the shopping centre. It was not until I got through the door and it closed shut not to open at all if I went back in..The reason I was going to go back in was that there was no place to walk down with my walker.I got told that they would not open the door and I needed to walk all the way round.
I was so tired after making the effort to go and check it out only to be disappointed it is a big effort for me and I thought it would have been better. I think people who make choices for us should have more than half with a disability on the choices made.
A credit to the council who over the years has been trying to improve the way they operate. Trying to catch up on the years of neglect from previous mis management. Prior to government caretakership.I am a regular "complainer". however they do respond which is great to see. I do feel that there are a few neglected suburbs within Brimbank. Kings Park being one of them. It seems to be all about the sunshine hub and Afrieda st St Albans. But over the last 2 years there are some much needed rejuvination works occuring. Keep it up.
Council rate is too high, council valuation is much higher than the market price. Ridiculous...
For the parking, they just give out infringement notice on wind screen of the car in 25 minutes parking which the car is parked in 3P parking area at Sunshine Market Place.
Delicious cold rolls, freshly bread, lovely sweeties rice with black beans and coconut juice, great price for lunch of the days..
What a joke!!!! called the council to let them know that someone dumped kittens in front of my apartment block, and they have the nerve to ask me to pay $60 and it takes two weeks for someone to come out and catch the kittens and the mother, seriously heartless bastards
Can you please put the sign for no parking here David Dr and Tracey TCe
I have been trying to call for two days now. It rings a number of times and hangs-up. The complaints line is the same phone number. Email is not answered. I cannot contact these people.
Reported a broken wheelie bin. It was straightforward to do so online. A replacement bin was dropped off a couple of days later. Thanks
