I have been a tenant for over a year in one of the communities of Brigil. I have had excellent service so far and enjoy my little home which is close to all amenities and green spaces !!

I wish you could give a zero. I live in Carleton crossing in Carleton Place and it has been nothing but lies since I have moved in. No work gets completed. The is no communication between the customer and brigil. I have had five customer service rep in the less then one year. Brigil just point the finger at anyone else trying to blame the contractors that they hire or the city.

Terrible receptionist. Extremely rude lady.

I called for a rent and she acted like she s God, I need her more than she wanted to talk with me.
Terrible attitude. No professional.
Brigil definitely must replace her, if not, you will loose many many many customers.

I have known this company for a very long time since I lived in a Brigil house. Today, I am privileged to be able to work for this builder of the region. The company cares as much about the satisfaction of its customers as of its employees. Even though everything is not always perfect (nothing is in life), I am happy to wake up every morning to work in a respectful environment, where people are intelligent and have a big heart. We feel good here and I wish everyone to be equally valued in their work!

I am sharing my story because I know I am not alone and other families may want to share their own after my story is published.

2014, we were just married, younger and dumber unfortunately. 5 years ago we met with Rolande Goyette (who doesnt work there anymore..I wonder why) a sales rep for Brigil. She basically took advantage that we were young and dumb and sold us on a "rent to own" contrac t for a beautiful townhome. We didnt even visit more than one house she basically decided the adresse for us. The initial rent was offered at a 300$ a month discount for 30 months so we were paying 1400 a month and in that 1400 a sum was accumulated for a down payment.

The house was basic, no AC, no fence, no gutters (which is a safety hazard personally I find).

Fast forward 30 months later rent is now 1700. It was tight but manageable. The house was built during winter time so 2.5 years in, house started to shift, cracks appearing etc. The heating system was never verified by gazifere, the heating stopped for awhile. Fun times NOT. The backyard deck started shifting.. all this in two years. I say SHOTTY WORKMANSHIP.

So anyways, meet again with Rolande she puts in an offer for us at 299,000 we never heard from her again. One year later a man named Laurier (who again doesnt work there anymore... hmmm) calls us and ofc he wants his cut so tries for 299,000 by now its 4 years in.. he comes back to us and says the house is now valued at 345,000 and that if he let's us have it at 299 we would lose our downpayment of 30,000+ that was insane. It ended up that our mortage wouldve been over what we were paying for rent. Absurd.

So we back out, get basically threatened to leave and we wouldn't get nothing back, our downpayment our gutters etc. I am writing this in my new home as we speak, the damaged brigil has caused us emotionally and mentally is insane. They take advantage of young people and they dont care abt feelings.

One neighbour got a deal from them but he too lost HALF HIS DOWN PAYMENT. The others told me their story too..basically everyone got screwed over and now they're laughing because they stole all our money. Combine, I say 100k plus between 4 houses they've pocketed.

Do yourselves a favor, do not buy Brigil, it is cheap, not good soundproofing, boxed kitchens and they dont come fix things that are broken.

Their numerous philanthropic donations in the fields of culture, health, sport and the environment make them a committed company, which has the well-being of citizens at heart.

Our family now owns a Brigil residence for 1 year. We chose Plateau Symmes for its family-oriented environment. The newly built Marsh School has a very good reputation and our kids are eager to be enrolled. In addition, we have access to several parks and some even with water games to the delight of our children.
We appreciate every day the quality of construction of our residence. The choice of materials and the design facilitates the maintenance and thus the quality of life.
Our neighborhood represents the daily life of Gatineau residents with facilities that improve everyday life.

I really like their real estate project, beautiful projects to offer a better quality of life to people. When you visit, the accommodation really has a nice finish, good quality and it makes you want to stay there!

The Brigil group has without doubt the best customer service of all real estate. As a renter I never had a problem and when I had questions they were extremememt quick to answer me and gave me a 5 star service!

My wife and I wanted to rent an apartment at 121 Parkdale Avenue. I am glad it did not work out because I was not happy with the experience at all. After a rigorous screening and a lot of paper work, reaching out to our managers to ask questions. Brigil got back to us that we were rejected. So we asked for a refund of our $100 dollar deposit. They said they were going to refund it. Moving on, what does a normal person do when he has a set deadline to move? We looked at a different apartment and found one that we like. We payed the first month rent and signed the lease. A week later Brigil gets back to us. Suddenly saying, you have been accepted. We told them it was too late, we already found an apartment. We never got back our $100 deposit. I tried reaching out letting them know that it is unfair since they are the one that rejected us. They said you cancelled when it was their fault for rejecting me. Now, they stopped replying to me. It's not about the money or the $100, congrats to them on it. It's about being honest, professional and about the attitude.

Their after sale service is the worst. Started back in 2014 when we rented a condo. The day of possession the condo was not ready and dirty with dust. The representative had to hire a third party company to clean it while we were waiting to move in with the truck full of our furniture.. we waited two hours. When we got in the condo we noticed that a lot of things were not finished as they were in construction holidays. I had to complain several times for them to come fix it and it took them two months to finish the condo. And I was pregnant while going through this stress I wanted everything to be perfect before my baby comes. We were on a rent to own. The representative assured us that by doing a rent to own we wouldn't be stuck buying the condo that we could upgrade to buying a house if we wanted to. So that is what we did. In 2018 we decided to buy a house with them despite everything that had happened. It was our only option since we already had a downpayment with them. If I knew I would have never signed the contract with them.

So we decided to buy a house with then in 2018 and now we are having some issues with the ceiling leaking and toilets clogging all the time. We have tried for several month now to get in touch with someone and nobody answers. We have sent emails, we called. There are no follow ups. It has been since june that we moved in and we are now in October. All that's left to do is to involve lawyers and send them a notice to fix it and pay us compensation.

THEY ARE THE WORST COMPANY. NEVER AGAIN. I DONT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. BE AWARE

*I'm posting my review to Brigil as a landlord as I live in one of their rental buildings. I cannot review them based on home-ownership or construction.

My fiancee and I moved in to 460 due to our condo project being cancelled. It was a "quick fix" solution that ended up being very enjoyable! We've had nothing but great things to say about Brigil 460.

Positives: The "hotel style" model is amazing! At first the price might surprise you but you need to consider that everything is included (rent, utilities, tv, internet, gym membership, etc) you'll be shocked how good of a deal this place is one you compare all costs of living elswhere. The support and maintenance team here are so quick to deal with any issues that arise and never ask questions, they just fix it! Applicances and finishes are high quality. The common room has a beautiful pool table, dart board, puzzles/books, theatre and feels very luxiorious and inviting. Underground heated parking and a tropical feeling indoor pool during -30 winters... need I say more Ottawa?

Could be better: Our 1bd 1bath has very limited storage for a couple with a decent amount of clothing. Also not much space for garbage/recycling. The lifestyle ammenities that we fell in love with (and justified the rent price with) have been closed or limited due to COVID - not Brigil's fault but perhaps a partial refund would be fair. A few heavier weights in the gym would make it more appealing. The rooftop terrace could use some love.

Overall we've felt very proud to live here and would reccomend it to those interested.

Do not buy from Brigil!!!!!!! I purchased a condo 3 years ago. Biggest mistake I have ever made in my life. Once you sign the papers don't expect any help from them. They do not return phone calls. I have a check from them that is expired and I've called the customer service number and the sales department numerous times and nobody has called me back.

I have now been a tenant with Brigil for over two years. I had a problem with my dishwasher, it was making a very strange noise. The service department sent a technician in the days following my request and everything was corrected very quickly (less than a week), the time to receive the replacement part. Very satisfied.

I wanted to sign a 1 year lease with them for an apartment with an ongoing promotion. The sales rep offered me the terms, I agreed, sent all the paper work including my social, paystubs and filled the rental application. The management later reneged on the terms. A colossal waste of time. Very unprofessional.
