We hear that the staff are not paid well -- $10 an hour. My mother-in-law says staff is not showing up to care for her as scheduled, which is only 3 times a week! Without that help her laundry does not get washed, not can she get a bath safely. We hear Bayshore pays better. Going to check them out.
I was working in this agency and I have a good opinion about all of them. They always answered my calls and my requests. I left because I had another job opportunity but I am thinking to go there again to work at least part-time. I highly recommend them.

Chasity coordinates everything well and I appreciated her first visit to set things up. She was very restaurant. She trained me well and helped me manage my stress. All the staff members treated my daughter as a normal person.

I have found BrightStar Care of Tampa and Sun City to be very professional, and caring people. The Director of Nursing has responded whenever I need anything for my loved one, and the aides, for the most part have gone overboard to do their job. I would highly recommend them.
Great Company, I had only few interaction with them but they were great, courteous and polite and did answer all my questions. Highly appreciated the level of professionalism that speaks a lot to their business and how they care.

I have work for brightstar for over a year now. They have always been willing to work with my schedule. They always make sure that I have all the knowledge and supplies I need for a case. There is never any such thing as a stupid question. The DON is friendly and always available to help with anything you need.
From front-line nursing and community nurse assistant staff to administrators, this is a wonderful company with which to work when caring for your aging parent. Nursing staff is reliable, compassionate, and understands and carries out care in a manner that is conscientious about personal dignity at all times. Administrators respond to calls -- billing, care coordination, scheduling changes -- swifty and without concern for "working hours". Several have called us on evenings and weekends and via their cell phones (which they share) to quickly resolve questions or concerns. My family and I are deeply grateful!!
The staff is very helpful for every step of the hiring process. If you have any trouble during your patient's visits they are just 1 call away and they will help you with the most they can.The beauty of this job is that you can built your own schedule as you want it and how much you want it.
7 years ago, my father broke his hip because he was left unattended so the aide could get her phone charger out of her car. He went into hospice and died several months later.
It has taken me 7 years to be able to write about it.

(Dale Mabry) Overall a decent company to work for but Shaletia is the reason I'm giving 3 stars. I had to cancel 2 shifts (ahead of time) for personal reasons. In return she gave me attitude and sarcasm but I ignored it. As I'm preparing for my next scheduled shift (days later) I realized I was no longer scheduled. There was no communication letting me know this. I ended up calling & she explained why which I understood but I would have preferred to be notified of the changes. Coincidentally, after this conversation with Shaletia, I haven't received any mass notifications (in weeks) in regards to available shifts when we typically get them daily. My guess is that I have been removed from the list (without notice) for whatever reason. Might I add, she's done this to someone else as well... Lack of professionalism.
After two days of phone calls to make sure services were in place for a 96 year old veteran, he was sent home only to have BrightStar tell him it would be 5 or 6 days before they even interviewed him. As a result he ended up back in the hospital the next day.
Brightstar is an amazing company to work for and I truly feel like family. Shaletia, Linette and Willie are professional day in and day out. I'm able to communicate with all of them and they truly hear me and what I'm trying to express. They are an integral part of the company and with them on board, it makes my job as a nurse much smoother sailing. P.S. the DON Christina is heaven sent.
Greatest health care experience ever! My need was WAY last minute but Anthony (with bright star care) was able to get me the care I needed with a very reasonable price! In fact not only did he have a staff member waiting on me to be dishcharged but she was one of the first faces I saw and he was also present upon my discharge! Their compassion and bedside manner was unbelievable and I would not only chose them again but also HIGHLY recommend their service! Thanks again BrightStar family!
