This is the local spot, beloved by many. It's very close to Bozeman and offers a full range of terrain, including allowing experts to hike the Ridge for some excellent "side-country". It's not a destination resort and that's probably for a few reasons: short runs and crowded weekend lift lines; There are no hi-speed chair lifts. But, I'll continue to love this place as long as I live in Bozeman.

This is a beautiful drive during the early spring early summer days. I ve never skied here I ve only driven to Bozeman and back through. I love the drive! However, If you have any motion sickness people with you this might not be the way to go!

We love this ski area. The new lifts added in the last few years are really amazing. The bunny hill is great for kids and beginners. There are several lodges spaced around which is perfect because one is always pretty close.

Fun low key ski area. Wide variety of terrain from beginner to what the hell did I get myself into. You do need an avalanche beacon to go to the very top and you can rent them in town for day use.

The family (wife, 4 year old son and I) spent the month in Bozeman. We bought weekday passes and skied 18 days total. The people on the mountain were very friendly, the prices were great and the lift lines never were "lines". We rarely waited to jump on a chair and go. Our son took 3 or 4 lessons and just loved the playcare people, Niki in particular was extremely nice. He skied an hour or two with us each morning. If you buy a package of hours at the playcare it will save you some money and they said we could use any left over time next year. We negotiated a month long rate at the ski check. This was worth a little extra expense to save us lugging our junk to the parking lot every night and back in every morning. The trails are great and present every level of challenge you might want. We will be going back.

I m a bit bummed out because we ended last year with a few hundred dollars left worth of credit at the kids club and they said it would transfer to this year, but now they won t honor it. Really lame.
That being said- PK is probably my favorite lift in the world.
This place can get crowded but if you are down to work a bit for your lines... best skiing in the world.
Just kinda bummed about their customer service.

Bridger is best! A lot has changed - mostly for the good - since the 90's when I first went to Bridger but you can tell all the growth around the valley when on a normal day the parking lot is filled up. Still not anywhere near as bad as the big Cali and Colorado resorts and a lift ticket is half as much as Big Sky.

Year after year I keep returning to Bridger Bowl for my annual ski trip. The mountain is beautiful with well groomed areas for those who like that, as well as plenty of powdery off the beaten path trails. In a recent experience a fellow skier of mine was injured on the North Bowl. Ski patrol was there within minutes without us calling (we got lucky and he saw the potential need for help). Eddy the ski patrol was knowledgeable and flexible to accommodate whatever we wanted. He fixed her knee up in the ski patrol building and offered anything we needed for help. When it came time to see if we could get a refund on ski rentals the gentlemen in the ski shop didn't hesitate for a second. They gave a full refund knowing that the knee problem was going to prevent any skiing the next day. I can't speak enough on how great Bridger Bowl Ski Area is.

I got a season pass here for $350 because I was 18 at the time, even though it's no where near as large as other resorts I'd rather spend the entire season here. The two new lifts are great as well. I always have and always will love Bridger Bowl more than any other "big" surrounding resort

$60 to ski all day in a setting like this? Outstanding. Staff was friendly, many of the buildings were new or updated. I expected a mom&pop operation but Bridger, although somewhat limited in scale compared to other resorts, certainly packs a punch. Dollar for dollar, you can't beat it.

Used to ski there a lot, but too busy now. On any kind of powder day the parking lot is full by 10am. They call Bridger Bowl the powder half hour...the place is tracked out in half an hour.
I included a couple of photos of the old days. Skiing the Head 360, and driving to the ski hill.

Best ski hill ever! Non-profit, all the money goes back into the hill. Great powder, short lines, and great runs. Montana's best kept secret! Those with money go to Big Sky, but those who know go to Bridger Bowl!!!

Great local ski hill.

Great local ski hill.

Not enough can be said about how awesome the entire staff is!

I understand with a growing concern for health and safety that the mountain was closed down early however that does not excuse the fact that it was only open for 3 hours and I paid for a full price ticket ($63). Regardless of how you look at it this is theft from every single person (that bought a day ticket) that went up on the 15th only to have it closed at noon. We were not told at the ticket office that the mountain would be closing down at noon either.

They need to have HIGH SPEED quad lifts. Don't really appreciate spending all my time on a lift... Big sky has much faster lift for 60 dollars more... Also as well you don't have to spend your day switching lifts. I spent all day switching lifts and wish there was just one lift that went all the way to the top so I don't have to get off one lift, then ski for 100 yards then get on another lift to go all the way to the top. I wish I could remember this place as a great ski area not a day where I spent my day on lifts...

Great place to take the family! I've never seen so many kids at a ski resort. There are tuns of moderate runs for the kids, and challenging runs for the adrenalin junky. It is also inexpensive compared to most ski resorts. Bozeman also has amazing resturantans and really nice hotels that are inexpensive.

The mountain itself was good, it was their policy and one particular employee who earned this review. I went up to buy my ticket and asked if they have a military discount. The lady said for active military, which I asked what about for veterans? And she replied with such astonishing rudeness when she explained that unless I had proof of still being active, she d never approve such a discount, and it wasn t only the wording, it was her tone of unusual disgust that left my jaw on the floor, as well as all of the people around me. Following the conversation, there was my brother and I, and about 12 other people talking about her and how she handled that, everyone being extremely taken back. An older couple offered to pay my ticket, but I explained to them that it wasn t about the money, it s the principle of the matter. Now had she been polite about it, like every human being should be, then I would ve given three stars, as I feel our military members, ESPECIALLY ones who have spent years away from home fighting a war for our damn country, should be given a discount, and it was her rude dimeanor that brought this down to one star. Unless something changes, I will take my business to big sky where they honor our military for the remainder of my time in Bozeman. Thank you.

Whenever there s actually snow it seems like they close all the lifts except for the runs where you ll just sink and get stuck because it s so flat. Poor online notifications regarding closures leaves you driving for over an hour just to turn around and waste the better part of the day (when you could ve gone to Big Sky). Way too expensive, season pass is almost a grand now and they offer no student discounts. Big Sky is better snow, better terrain, better (faster/bigger) lifts, and at this point marginally more expensive for what you re getting.

Definitely going to be a different kind of review here. Absolutely I totally to phenomenal place to go. Has Great Hills ski starting from kid areas to the most extreme Peak areas. Usually a very busy area but if you go towards the top of the hill most people aren't there yet and it's best to go in the trees where you can find fresh powder all ways. They have secret little hideouts you can always go to which makes the mountain always more fun. Restaurants they're absolutely amazing as the food is always cooked fresh at least every 30 minutes. Have a great variety of foods such as Pizza chili other soups Burgers hot dogs and others. The seating is always great and usually recommend sitting outside so you can enjoy the Sun and eat your fresh amazing fries. Definitely a great place to go for a family event and enjoy good slopes. Prices are pretty good but exactly what you should expect.
