Looking to get away from the touristy ski scene, but still experience some all mountain ski terrain? Bridger Bowl is your spot! Not nearly as developed as Big Sky or some of the major resorts in Colorado. I liked that it felt homey and not filled with designer shops or expensive restaurants. I can see why the locals choose to ski here over the corporate run resort just an hour south.
Bridger has great skiing, is reasonably priced and gets the pow regularly!
Great ski mountain. Get real crowded on pow days though.
This is the local spot vs the corporate resort down south. The vibes and price points are the best in the state.
Terrible resort. Never snows the runs suck and the people are terrible. Never come here.
Wonderful skiing, friendly and helpful staff and very affordable. I will go there again.
Love the service and ski runs..great place for kids!!
My favorite. Old school skiing, runs with no boundaries; virtually ski wherever you want to or can.
Easily the best ski area for the money (but don't tell anyone).
Sure. I'd like faster lifts. Sure I'd like more convenient parking. But you really can't beat Bridger's convenience or value.
I thoroughly enjoyed the lush amount of absorbent and floofy snow. In fact, it was the finest grains of snow flecks that I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. I mean, I would have stripped down naked and pleasured my self in those beautiful snow fluffs had they let me.
Even on the busiest days, there's plenty of open room and space for everyone.
Great place to ride. Beautiful conditions, nice staff, took a lesson and guide was great. Super chill area, love it
Great place for every level of skier or snowboarder. Lots of technical terrain with and with out hiking their ridge terrain. Nicely priced lift tickets as well.
No lift lines, good prices, awesome snow, good variety of runs!
Amazing ski runs, amazing staff. A must see for everyone who loves sking/snowboarding
Wonderful community ski hill! The french fries make even the coldest days great!
Best place to learn in my opinion I learned here and it was great
This place is amazing. Great snow, small lift lines, even on a holiday!
People and slopes are fantastic. Love to see a nicer, more ski-lodge worthy restaurant/lounge area.
On the Sunday before the last open day of Bridger, a couple of friends and I dressed up to go skiing, but I forgot my pass. I kindly asked the lady in the ticket office for the two dollar pass, but they required I have an ID. As I didn t the snobbish lady continued to smirk and unsympathize with my last day of skiing this year. I continued to ask if they could just look up my name as they had done before but that was shut down rudely as well. Later the next day my dad went to talk to the manager to straighten this shanagan out. Bridger Bowl is a wonderful place to ski, but as a two year returning skier I am not impressed with the service of the two ladies in the ticket office.
Awesome place to ski, never too crowded. Can't go wrong with a day at Bridger!
Lots of great terrain for all skier levels. Tons of great snow.
This locally owned ski hill is a great place with diverse terrain and reasonable prices. Loved by the locals for a good reason, Bridger is located in a beautiful canyon close to Bozeman. Not crowded on weekdays
Some of the best side country of any US ski resort but for the average skier they don't groom nearly enough terrain, especially off the Bridger Lift. I'm there for the former and not the latter but as I age I may find myself back at Big Sky.
This is by far the most family friendly ski area I've been to! We were teaching our littles to ski and I was able to get a discounted pass to stay in the beginner areas with my kiddos. Thank you, Bridger, for making skiing affordable!
Such an amazing mountain. Tons of terrain options for all levels. Has a local feel while still having wonderful amenities. We stayed in Bozeman which allowed us to go out to eat and enjoy the local hot springs in the evening and the drive each morning was beautiful and quick. I highly recommend!
Great local place with world class skiing. Staff is friendly, and prices are very cheap compared to other resorts out there. It's a must go if you are a tourist or a local look for some fun and adventure.
One of my favorite places to snowboard. I really really love it. It never gets old or boring.
A fantastic local ski area that serves up cold smoke. It can be packed on the weekends, but it s a best price ski area. The whole area is great and can meet the needs of all skiers.
Great snow with adequately challenging terrain. Stayed busy all day exploring the different runs!
Fun and affordable. I experienced some great snow for the 2017/2018 season. Only complaints is that it gets really busy, parking can be very difficult and include a long walk to the lift. Lifts lines aren t too horrible, but the snow gets tracked out fast. Still had some amazing days there and learned to snowboard moguls like a pro.
Fantastic family friendly ski area with terrain for all levels.
A very nice locals ski resort. Not as big and fancy as Big Sky but close to town and has some of the best snow around. It can get a bit cold in the middle of winter. Very normal to have ski temps in the negative. So make sure your skin is all covered and throw and extra layer on.
Great family mountain, that also happens to have amazing adult-only terrain...
Been skiing at Bridger Bowl since 1960. Never a bad day there..unless the wind is howling.
Picked up season passes and visited the Raptor Festival! Snow can't come soon enough!
High winds shut down most of the lifts today but still great to get out on New Years day!
Class trip ski day. Everyone had a great time. Ski staff was amazing and helpful for all.
Locals ski area, super fun and lots of steep terrain. Bring your transceiver.
Spectacular snow, friendly employees went out of their way to help my family and I. My fiance was very pleased with her lessons.
No greater place to teach children to ski from age 3 to double black diamond (shortly thereafter)!
Great place to ski....lots of MOUNTAIN and reasonable lift prices. Spectacular views. Perfect snow.
This is an amazing mountain, I hope to return soon.
I have skied all over the Eastern, Western USA and the European Alps. In my opinion this little mountain has the best value comparison to other larger and more amenity sophisticated mountains dollar for dollar. Not only from a monetary value but an all ski ability family mountain. I give it five star for these reasons hands...down...
The weather was terrible, some old woman hit me with a handbag. 11 out of 15.5 would ride a lift again.
Can't beat it...super close to Bozeman, good size, powder days are killers, a ton of hike-able terain with amazing views. What more do you want!?
Wonderful ski area plus we had exceptional snow and sunshine
I know that this place is not good for skiing in the summer, but I just wanted to point out how fun this place is to skii at. There are two lifts that go near the top, Pierres and Bridger lift. Pierres is a faster lift, with double blacks near the top and is filled with jumps if you know where to look. There is an unamed route through the trees that is basically a homemade half pipe. On the Bridger lift there is a a way to get off the lift halfway up, but at the top there are tons of double blacks if you go left until the gate, and then keep going to more difficult double blacks that are very fun.
Edit: if you do not come early and near opening time, there will be a huge crowd and a far away parking spot. If you come on holidays, come before the opening to purchase tickets without a huge line. Note: I went there near Christmas time and there was a 30 minute wait for the bottom lift and the line started way before opening. However most skiiers that were there were beginners, so the top of the mountain was mostly not crowded.
Easily one of the top 5 places I've played Disc Golf. Beautiful and challenging. The upper course was fantastic! After posting this, I realize these photos are actually taken next door to Bridger, at the Bohart Cross Country Ski Ranch
This is my kind of place. Great off groomed skiing, little or no crowds, college town flare, friendly people, cheap lift tickets, and a reasonably priced burger and beer. I don't know why I write this review because I don't want/need you to go there. I guess I write this because maybe you are a true skier/boarder and haven't heard of the good solid bowl snow and some serious steeps. Yes, Bridger in on my list of true ski areas - A Basin, Taos, Alta, Loveland, & Grand Targee. The beauty of places like this is they get great snow, they're not "resorts", and they've got terrain that isn't served by a lift. It's about the skiing. If you don't mind a little hike, then you'll love these places. Some of the best and more challenging skiing in North America - 300' above the lift. If you need pretty carpeting and someone to open the door for you, please go to Big Sky. Both you and I will be much happier.
Many professional skiiers can be seen on the mountain everyday. Snowboarders use side entrance.
Great place to bring the whole family. Relaxed atmosphere with plenty of options for all skiers.
Nothing bad about actually skiing, however disappointed that there isn't an option to go up on the lift (only for viewing purposes) one time, unless you buy the full day lift ticket. Big Sky and other places let you do it for a fraction of the price.
