Sean Steer who carried out the survey gave a verbal opinion on the day as we needed to exchange on the property asap. We were recommended to this company by my sister and will also recommend too.
Delighted by the job Brian Gale did for us. They provided a very efficient service and the building survey report from Patrick Moyle was extremely detailed and thorough - just what we were looking for. He is also an expert in old properties which was a particularly good fit for us and we found him very impressive indeed. Patrick also very kindly talked us through his c. 50 page report on the phone on a Saturday morning, which was really going above and beyond. It was very much appreciated and good to get some more context and opinion and clear /easy to understand answers to questions we had on some of the more technical things. Couldn't be happier with the work of this firm and its staff and we'd highly recommend them.

Mr Patrick Moyle from Brian Gale Surveyors has carried out two building surveys for myself and partner recently on properties we were looking to purchase, I have found both Mr Moyle and the admin team in the offices to be very professional and the service we received was first class. I was more than happy with the fees charged and the advice we received on both properties has been invaluable and actually led to us pulling out of the first purchase due to issues they found, potentially saving us thousands of pounds in future maintenance bills. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
The moment this surveyor entered my property he was rude. They lacked general knowledge, guessed the weight of hundreds of blocks that were in fact 3 times heavier, no practical knowledge, no theoretical knowledge, no building material knowledge, & absolutely no structural engineering knowledge. They do not follow directions. They would not answer questions that were put to them twice. Their response is truly shocking & I will be making a full complaint to their Regulatory Body. I would suggest if you value your property not to use this firm. You would fail to get the responses you need to either decide on purchasing a property or investigate a problem with your property.

Not a great experience. Sent photos in anticipation of a survey highlighting some areas of concern to me (large cracks in a wall) - these were somehow overlooked when the vendors covered up the cracks and no questions asked of the vendor - clearly hadn't read my brief. A shame as I put my faith in this company. Failed to spot some significant rot in a structural pillar which has been subsequently readily identified by another surveyor. Has failed to follow up on several of my attempts to ask what happened here!! There are plenty of other surveyors around so check around and come here at your peril. I'd look elsewhere frankly.
Brian Gale put together a very detailed photographic survey for me which was of an excellent standard and was full of extremely helpful information about the property. However they did not quite manage to deliver it in the timeframe they originally communicated, even after I had mentioned it was quite time sensitive.
