Brewster was the most formative experience of my life. My life began at Brewster... 20+ years later I'm still best friends with my dorm mates and thriving on and harnessing the values that were instilled in me during my time as a "lifer."

I am proud to say that I am an alumnus of Brewster Academy. The people that I have had the pleasure of becoming close friends with have become my second family. This community has an indescribable level of inclusiveness and love for one another. Brewster is able to differentiate itself in its location, its community, its people, as well as its superior education. There is no other school that has the grandeur of lake Winnipesaukee in the center of campus. The sense of community found at Brewster extends beyond campus lines to the friendliness of small-town Wolfeboro, NH. As a student your teacher can also be your coach and/or dorm parent. Having that accessibility to your teacher is an incredible tool for a young student. Brewster Academy Alumni are a proud group of successful professionals. We are excited about the growth of the school and look forward to continuing to spread our brand. Go Bobcats.

I was new to Brewster Academy at the beginning of ...

I was new to Brewster Academy at the beginning of my junior year. Being a transfer student and not really knowing anyone when I came to Brewster, I was obviously very apprehensive about joining this new environment. I soon met all the students on the leadership team through orientation and also met the other new students who were in the same boat I was in. The leadership team was extremely helpful when it came to setting me into my new school. Teachers were also friendly too, even the ones that were not teaching me that year. Quickly I began to make friends and became very comfortable, and was immediately excited for what my time at Brewster was going to be like. As the school year started and I got to know my peers and faculty, I became a completely new person. I broke out of my nervous shell that I had been living in my whole life. Through encouragement from my teachers, peers, and even the Head of School to get myself out there and try new things I was now a whole new student and person than I was before. I joined the three sports teams, over 5 clubs, and became a tour guide. One could argue that any school can help a new student become involved, but the way that Brewster functions made joining a new community so much easier. This is because at Brewster, your peers are not just students who sit next to you in class, and the teachers are not just teachers. For me, everyone at Brewster made a genuine effort to get to know you as a person which ultimately created a relaxed and tight-knit community that encouraged others to become what they want to be. At the end of my first year, I got the best grades I have ever had, held two leadership positions, and made amazing friends. Fast-forward a year as a current senior, I helped new students break out of their shells like I had done the year before, I am going to my top choice college, and have made the best memories of my life all in two short years because of Brewster Academy.
