Awesome place to take your kids for swimming lessons!!!
Awesome place to take your kids for swimming lessons!!!
Swimming party for our Girl Guides. Good time for all of the girls. Good value for a large group of kids.
Quality of badminton is good, however the roof is too low and the floors are stone.
A decent lap pool, with a hot tub more suitable for children. However, the lap pool is not a suitable depth for young children. Changing facilities are relatively small, but clean. There is also a cafeteria, free high-speed wifi, computer access, meeting rooms and many other amenities available.
Love the staff especially the morning maintenance man. facility is always clean and front desk staff is nice
Smaller but less busy, and better swim instructors for young swimmers.
Can be a good place but some of the things/ways they do things could be done better....don't just bring in new ppl to a 2-3 year olds swim lessons with out an introduction...new councillors.
I would love for this facility to get an upgrade to changerooms, and little pool. However, staff is great, my kids feel very comfortable in the quaint facility.
We'll organized lane swim. Can book up to a week in advance.
Is their a kiddy area for small children? to play in Just a question
Friendly staff good instructors for the most part and a good variety of activities. Keep terry and miranda
Change rooms are too small, especially since they run two classes ending at the same time.
Very aged building but lots of great programming going on and a great, albeit tiny, warm water pool for infants.
I don't know what your experience was
But i came here for badminton today and found out there was so many racist people at this place
Good place to learn swimming. Friendly instructors and stress free learning.
Rented a room for a Christmas gathering and it went great!
Really nice pool. Friendly staff. Lots of chlorine in the pool
Great community members and awesome programs for different age groups!
Nice place the inside is better maintained then the outside
My son is attending swimming lessons there, just started! So far so good, hopefully he will learn swimming!
Great community center. Kids love their swimming lessons. My son enjoyed the preschool there and really helped prep him for kindergarten. Many other activities for children, families and seniors. Friendly staff and clean facility. Change rooms for pools could use a facelift but it serves its purpose and the showers have hot water.
I only go there to play badminton. Good: pay-as-you-play system, many badminton sessions in a week to choose from (all ages / all levels / competitive / ...), they are open through summer unlike many other clubs, usually enough people shows up to get into different mixes, friendly atmosphere for newbies. Bad: low ceiling in the gym, so you hit it every now and then.
Excellent pool for baby swimming classes! They have the warm water pool and they had a little slide for toddlers to go down. The instructors are friendly. And I believe the price of the public/family swim are cheaper at this pool than others
Tight entrance during busy times but facilities are good.
Neighborhood recreation complex. Includes indoor pool and gymnasiums. Sportsball for 3-5yr old is pretty good.
Classes are still good as long as we don't go grey! Government at whatever level(s) still need to rethink public washrooms. Apparently it has to do with number of people in the building but if city staff can stop by to use them why not the "homeless" or outdoor friends, or you, or me if I'm passing by and need to go ... ??
Lovely facility, always clean, and friendly, helpful staff. Has 2 swimming pools, gymnasium, 2 multi-propose rooms and a spacious seating area with a snack shop.
Lots of group activities going on here. The pool is pretty good and the change rooms are clean. Lots of updates to the facility recently.
Great children and family programs. Our first choice for swimming lessons.
Family centre. Many programs available for children
Great place for swimming lessons! Started taking my daughter there when she was 6 months old for lessons. She is 15 now and is an assistant instructor. Can't say enough about how friendly everyone is!
Didn't go in the building, but rather just had a coffee and read a book at a picnic table in the woods. Lovely, peaceful fall day.
I absolutely love this pool. Always at a temperature that's neither too hot or cold for a workout. The centre is quite small, but that's to your advantage since you don't have to go far between change room and the pool. Would recommend over the Rec Complex since the admission price is slightly cheaper and Breithaupt is rarely ever busy.
Idk it's noice quite and the woods are superb keep up the good wood
I used to take swimming lessons here, and now my son does. The instructors are excellent for kids' aquatics. The facilities are old but have been maintained. There are great programs of all types for all age groups, including senior citizens.
Good swimming pool. Change rooms are clean. The building is well maintained.
One of the best indoor public pools in the region. I wish the city invested on a nice upgrade for the centre. But meh, its good.
Awesome facility. It s small and old facility but well taken care of and swimming lessons for youngsters is amazing with great staff!!
The small warm pool is perfect for babies and toddlers. Happy to have swim lessons in a warm pool! The changerooms are a bit cramped, but we make it work.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff... probably the main reason my kids love swimming.
The instructors are so nice in the baby swim class. The pool is clean and it's a nice small complex with a lot of programs to offer. Highly recommend to parents.
I have came here once before I am going today and last time when I came it was fun
This place is nice the staff is usually pretty helpful.... they have an indoor pool that's pretty decent an most of the programs are good.... the dance teacher they had awhile back was pretty bad. ( late, or no show...). But other than that pretty good.
Nice pool and community area. Caters to a bit of an older crowd ie. More seniors
The water programs are amazing for youth and seniors
We take our kids for swimming lessons and we love the small teacher to student ratio.
A clean, well run community center. Bright, and adaptively modern
A solid little community centre that's been here for years. My 2 year old son loves his weekly swimming classes in the smaller (and warmer) of the two pools. The building and grounds are well maintained and the facilities in good working condition. Swimming staff are mainly teens, very polite and professional in their work. Locker rooms are clean, safe and well maintained. This is a great place for families.
This is a good set up for swimming lessons, there is a small seating area to watch or you can sit in the lobby. The change rooms are small, but the pool is decent for young children's swimming lessons.
Went to try pickle ball. Fun game. The lady organizing it was a little hardcore but made sure people got a chance to play. Good little community centre and Giant Tiger is close.
I use the large pool. It's clean and the staff are friendly and helpful with any question you might have. It is a family and senior oriented facility.
Staff is so friendly. Facility is clean and inviting
Had a workshop at this location. Clean rooms friendly staff.
My wife and I arrived at the centre today for a family swim. We went to the front desk and advised the lady behind the desk that we were here to swim. The lady asked if all three of us were swimming and I said yes. She said it would be $13.25 altogether. I went to pay, when another lady behind the counter advises me this: "Just so you know, family means two parents and one child." I looked at her directly and said "Yes, we are married." The second lady was clearly shocked by this revelation and could not respond except for an "Oh, oh I-I-I..." I was furious. I finished paying and smiled and thanked the first lady who clearly could recognize that we are a family without asking or be rude. The second lady still did not apologize but instead tried to small talk and ask me how old my daughter was. I was so furious and did not want to continue any conversation with her. To give context, I am an Asian woman and my partner is a Caucasian woman. I was unsure of how to formally complain about this incident with a city worker so I am posting here. Also, to be clear the City of Kitchener website for this pool does not indicate what they define as a "family" to qualify for a family pass. This city worker needs to be properly educated on definitions of family and also not to make assumptions.
Beautiful environment, live water road church is here.
Great park for the little ones. Lots of open space to run, and wooded areas to explore. Friendly folks work the center. Always very kind to my family.
