They had the Mst3k comics I wanted and are ordering in the one they did not have. A cool Star Trek signing. Some game events I may end up at.

Andy is great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Really creates a friendly and welcoming atmosphere within his shop. Makes being a newcomer feel very comfortable

It took over three months and about 15 phone calls to find out I was not going to get anywhere with my shipment of a comic book that I had ordered and prepaid. I ended up having to drive to the store to pick it up myself while I was on vacation and happened to be close to that store because I was given nothing but excuses over the phone from we don't have what you're looking for, to we never received them, to it was shipped yesterday, every time I called it was a different excuse. They would not even refund me for the shipping when I picked it up in the store. The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because I was very happy to get a one-of-a-kind comic book the store was offering otherwise I would have spent my money somewhere else. A little honesty and better caring for your customers goes a long way as I will never be a returning customer or refer your store to anyone.

10/10 for events, 11/10 on service, and a 12/10 community. This has been a staple of Newhall for decades now.

Best selection in SCV, plus tons of exclusives, variants, trades, etc. Great selection for younger readers, too. Staff seems like they read every book, so they always have insight and helpful opinions/ suggestions. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because parking is absolutely terrible. If you're lucky enough to find a spot in the lot, you'll find yourself shoehorned into a compact spot next to every SCV soccer mom's giant SUV, and unless you're on a motorcycle, you're climbing out through the trunk. Otherwise you can park a few blocks away on the street...

Now under new ownership! This place is amazing and my subscriptions and pulls are always waiting for me. Thank you Andy for making Brave New World my comic store!

In this day and age it s pretty easy to find whatever you want online and get it. And I m not a terribly social person. So you d better believe this is one of the BEST comic shops I ve ever been to, enough so that I actually leave my home to get what I want.

Great selection of new and older issues of comics, if it isn t on their shelves you can have them order it in for the actual price of the book/item you want. Maybe you can find it online, but with BNW you know you re getting what you want for your dollar and not a penny more.

The staff and environment are awesome, the clerks feel like your homies even if you re a total stranger and the actual owner and manager? One of the best dudes I ve met in SCV.

These guys are awesome! Anything they don't have they can order in for you, and don't get me started on how awesome and easy the subscription service is! I refuse to buy anywhere else, they're that great.

Out-of-Towner who wanted to check out the local shops and was pleasantly surprised by this neat little shop. Cool name, great deco, highly organized. Found exactly what I was looking for, and the selection available made want to buy much more. Staff picks on display meshed with my taste, so definitely a plus. Will definitely head this way more often just to hit up the store.

Best comic book store I ve been to in LA hands down. Customer service is always at a premium. Andy not only makes sure to bring in any comics you re interested in, but also does a great job recommending other titles or sets similar to your taste in comics. This store is not to be passed up. Go ahead and check them out, see firsthand what I m talking about.

A hidden gem! This place is not only your best source for comics, but books as well! The staff is so knowledgeable, so friendly & so helpful. Every Wednesday night they do a live claim sale! These sweet boys are so funny & entertaining!

Im from out of town visiting and walked in and the selection they had is amazing. Many graphic novels and many comics. I picked up the hellboy first stories and two variant covers of punk mambo. Really friendly really knowledge will come back when i visit again.

If there is an absolute center to the universe, this is probably the place closest to it. It was the first store I searched for when I moved to Santa Clarita a decade ago, and have been a weekly regular ever since. So much to do -- more than just comics!

This is a great local comic book shop. They have a wide selection of titles, plus plenty of back stock and old issues to choose from, as well as Collectibles and games, and they even have a game area upstairs where they run role playing games and the like.

This place is hands down one of the best comic book stores in southern California! The staff is really cool and down-to-earth. You must visit this place. You won't regret it!- 1 year ago

Update: This used to be my favorite location to purchase my comic books from. I knew the store had changed owners, but I hadn't had the opportunity to stop by until recently. I was heartbroken. Long gone are the little hand made trinkets, jewelry, clothing, etc for whatever your fandom may be. Long gone are the familiar faces I grew so fond of and the artistic environment this small place encouraged of it's customers. All that is left are barren walls and tables filled with D&D and Magic games. Great job on keeping the iconic "Comics" wall art, though.

Yes, I know the atmosphere will change with each new owner, but the environment that the old staff and owners brought to the store is what made me come back each time. What really turned me off about the place was that the employee (presumed-to-be-owner) behind the counter was engaged in conversation with the gentleman in front of me. It went like, "It's funny how girls are all into comic books because it is 'cool' now. I had a girlfriend once who hated them, but now since they are 'cool', all girls love them now". I clear my throat, and the guy excuses himself out of the way, as he wasn't buying anything but instead trash talking. My face shows every emotion I am feeling so I know the employee at the counter knew I was upset. He tried to compliment my purse (it's Captain Marvel), and talk to me about the comic I was about to purchase. Do you know when Charleton Heston found out Soylent Green was people? That's how I felt about my last visit at BNW. I don't think I will be going back. I'm so sick of going to comic book stores and immediately feeling outcasted simply because I am female. I can't support that. Changed my 5 stars to 2.

Big selection, nice staff and family friendly atmosphere.

This is the place to go for your comic and pop culture needs in Santa Clarita. Andy and the rest of the staff are great, and will provide some great selections as they get to know you and your tastes. There are often events, and different gaming sessions occur throughout the week. Definitely check this place out. Make sure you check out the Magic games and RPG sessions.

My nephew loves this place! He looks forward to coming here when I am watching over him .

Andy Liegl, the owner of Brave New World, has brought new life into old town Newhall. He continually comes up with creative ways to bring people into the store - and especially to the neighborhood. Whether it's hosting various gaming events, offering special deals on upcoming comic series, or coordinating neighborhood events with his fellow vendors - Andy is really killing it when it comes to what you think of when you think of hometown business. He gets to know his customers and often asks what they are interested in - so he can cater to their needs. He and his team always offer great recommendations for new comics, or summaries of old ones that you might need to understand before jumping back into old favorites. When he attends various conventions or other meet ups, I usually ask him to keep me in mind if ever anything Star Wars piques his interest - and he has never disappointed. I am a strong supporter of small businesses, and I would like more businesses to have the passion that Andy has.
There's ample parking (unless there's a neighborhood event going on), and Andy will have a great recommendation if you're ever in the mood for a bite to eat from neighboring businesses while you peruse your latest comic book purchase. They have something for the die-hard comic book collector and the first-time kids. Follow Brave New World on all the social media outlets to keep up to date with the latest promotions and events that they have planned all-year round; they respond well to questions both online and over the phone.

Can't say enough good things about the store . Its really the place to go for comics in Santa Clarita and maybe even all of LA .

Well the first time I went in the two people working were very helpful. The store is nice size and has a good selection of comics. They even sold my a second cover version. Which I thought was pretty cool.

The second time I went in the store didn't have the comic I was looking for. I asked the girl working if they had any copies left. She said no, but she would order it, but that it would take a couple of weeks before the issue came in. Well the comic book was new, I get that it can sell out fast, but who wants to wait. I mean the new issue will be out before you get the last order one. I told her this doesn't help and ask if there was another comic book store in town. She said no and didn't seem to interested in wether I found it or not. Then she told me to have a nice day in not so friendly of ways as I left.

Luckily there was another comic book store in town. Sorry to say they will get most of my business now.

My only complaint is that this store is very overpriced, and what bothered me the most is that he looked up my pull list books on eBay and refused to sell them to me. I'm so sad and very distraught.

I've recently gotten into comic books and this is the place to go. Helpful staff when it comes to navigating the store. Lots of selection, but get there asap on new comic Wednesday or the new release you aiming to get might be gone!! Right now, reading Avengers, Venom, Dr. Strange, and Iron Man.

An incredible comic shop that has been around for ages with a constantly wonderful staff and selection of books. I love their many amazing comic book signings! One of the best comic shops you'll find in California, make sure to keep an eye on their awesome event schedule!

The owner Andy is dishonest and shady. Do not recommend selling your cards to him unless you want a bad experience.

Love this shop under new management have a lot of titles. Always carry good amount of variant covers also. Very helpful and always recommending new stuff to read. I like the setup of the store and how they organized comics by publishers.

SCV's finest store from a pure comics point of view. A nice selection of collectibles, but the main draw here is comics. Back issues, current issues from every publisher, and a friendly staff to help you navigate them all. Really enjoyed visiting this store, will likely go back for one of the many signings/events they hold here.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. When I was in the gentleman behind the counter, which I believe was the owner, was in the process of purchasing some comics. He gave fair prices and looked up the value of each one as to not rip the customer off.

Awesome shop. Not just a comic book store, Brave New World also has signings (local artists and Ewoks), game nights, and Pokemon tournaments too. A great place to check out if you are into comics, gaming, or pop culture.

Brave New World is the best! I love going there for the Pokemon Go PvP tournaments and Magic: The Gathering. Andy the owner is super cool and always has great comic recommendations! Andy has turned this place around from the previous owners and I don't need to go anywhere else for comics and games in SCV!

This shop is the best comics shop I've ever been to. Andy and staff are incredible. Great recommendations, super friendly and knowledgeable, amazing service. I just moved out of state and it just reinforced how incredible this place is. I know times are tough, but stop in and check them out!

Love this place! My favorite place in LA to buy new comics. Every time I go in they are informing me of upcoming comic events that might interest me. Their Instagram and claim show is also a great way to see what s new in the comic world. I highly recommend this place. After searching all over LA, I finally chose this place to do my pull list with.

This has been my go-to comic book shop since I started collecting comics again a few years ago. What I really like about the current owner, Andy, is that he has turned this little shop into a real comic collectors paradise. If you're a subscriber like I am, he always pulls new titles he thinks you will like based on your past and current purchases and 9 times out of 10, he's absolutely right and you'll have a new comic series that you'll love reading. His staff is always friendly, helpful, and makes some of the best personal recommendations as well. I love coming in here and do so every week.

Andy has brought new life to the store by hosting events that attract not just comic lovers but game lovers as well.
