Very good food and the staff is very nice and friendly. To recommend! Very small but good wine list.

A restaurant in a building built in 1560. The restaurant is in the basement where the prison was, because the building above was the seat of government. Very good dishes, good beer choices and in winter a special dish that is venison.

We arrived for lunch at on a Tuesday afternoon. It was very calm and quiet. Personnel was polite and friendly and the place is situated in a beautiful old building. Decoration is beautiful and cosy. We have a nice lunch of the daily soup and a steak salad. Food did not impress me (yet). But the ambiance fore sure. Would come back again for a second try for more.

Delicious lunch ... today's soup was mustard soup with pesto. A very nice combination. Also a salad eaten ... very much but delicious.

Atmospheric place where we enjoyed a great lunch ... Salad with tuna and an eggplant pastrami, accompanied by a beautiful white house wine. Sitting under the old vaults, neat service, completely good.

High Tea. Not special. I'm not going to take that anymore.

Anytime that I'm in IJsselstein, this is on my list of restaurants to eat at. It is excellent for drinks and dinner.
