Boys & Girls Club of Albany Reviews

If I could give them a zero I would. This organization promotes Albany and Albany alone if you live on the outskirts of town or come for a tournament from another city good luck to you because you won't be able to get a fair game. If you try to talk to the refs or the athletic director you get a hand in the face telling you that they don't care. I would never let my kid go to their facilities because I would expect the same treatment there. The Boys & Girls Club is supposed to promote togetherness not segregation and not Hometown advantage. If you're considering going to the Boys & Girls Club think twice.

They are doing a great job maintaining a safe place for kids to be active, participate in sports, learn, grow, and be a part of a team. Excellent adherence to COVID safety guidelines and balancing the importance of play. Thank you

I go here alot. It is so fun. Everyone is close . I love the staff. Very homey

Great place for your kids to learn their social skills.

It's a pretty decent place, if your a teen definitely bring a friend or two, It can be a bit boring when your by yourself.

My son loves this place. It' hard to get him to come home most days.

Nice facility. Seems like a small thing, but the electronic score boards are a nice feature, with hardwood floors.

Good place for kids. After school programs. Went to see my grandson play his 1st basketball game. Easy to find if you didn't know where it was.

It has alot for my 12 year old to do and play and to learn it helpd him make friends

My son and all of his buddies had a blast at Hoop Jam. I really appreciate all the hard work and volunteer time put in to make it happen. The Hoop Jam tournament is something that these kids will always remember, thanks BGCA.

This is my son's favorite place. He loves the staff. They have supported him thru all his obstacles!!

I was here in support of a Club Volleyball tournament. The facilities were nice and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. It was nice being able to bring in "gourmet" coffee onto the game area. Also, bleachers were pulled out on most courts! Overall, great experience given the long 12 hour schedule of tournaments.

Always fun and helpful however parking can be a NIGHTMARE on game nights

Athletic department, I think you should help out more when it comes to making people an account or signing up an adult soccer team, instead of just sending them home with a website to visit. And if not, please atleast make the website more friendly and easy to use. Other than that, we love it there! Thank you.

My son has been going there since 2nd grade. Great staff. Great opportunities.

Great after school programs but it is ran similar to schools now a days, supervisors do very little to correct kids or build character. It s nice having a place to go but like the rest of society, nobody really cares for kids like they are their own.

Mostly safe place for kids. Pure chaos. Takes forever to pick up kiddos. It's extremely cheap and they feed the kids. Great option for struggling parents

Great facility for kids after school, all ages, wonderful new building added to their facility, but I think it could have a better location I don't think that right on hill street is necessarily a good spot for the boys and girls club due to the high volume of traffic hill street has during work commute hours

What an amazing place for youth in Albany to go. There are many things to do, fun to be had and friends to be made. Wonderful.

Best 50 dollars I've ever spent in my life. The wife and I work late and can't be home when. The kids get out of school. They get bused here and we know they are safe, fed, taken care of, and given many activities to do until one of us gets there. The retrieval system is a bit chaotic, but it works, and the kids always have a good time. Worth every penny.

It is a very busy place, but they have a pretty good system of keeping order. It is also very well priced for the services they offer.

Great place if your looking to play recreational soccer since the refs they re are a joke. If your looking to play competitive soccer I highly recommend going to corvallis. Well worth the drive.

My son is doing indoor soccer and the facility they have for that is outstanding. I cannot speak to the after school program as we have never used that.

Great first part-time job, as long as you are good with the children, the pre-teens and the teens.

As a single mom, I am very greatful for all the club has to offer for my daughter. Thank you especially to the new director who took over a few years ago. I appreciate the changes that you made to ensure our kids are safe. If you hadn't changed the pick up policy, I never would have signed my little girl up to be a member of our local club.

Became a member in 66 was even part of the 66 Junior Olympic team the travels of Bellevue Wash.. new look is excellent looking... very and very envious... Of all the kids

They have decent sports programs. Coaching is a little lacking at times, consistent with volunteers

Referies used in soccer are way below average. Otherwise i would give a five.
