This is one of my favorite Nature Preserves to visit. Beautiful Lake on one trail and beautiful pond on another trail. I also enjoy the variety of birds on display to include owls, eagle, red hawk and falcon!! It has a more remote in nature feel to it! There is a $3.00 admission fee but well worth it. If you are not up for hiking there is a tram tour available also!!
I loved it here! It has an education center, classrooms and workshops, volunteers showing animals, an aviary, a few boardwalks, trails, and tons of visible wildlife including gators!
Appreciated the peaceful scenery, helpful front desk staff and all the different trails this nature preserve offered.
Nice spot in the city yet in the woods. Nicely groomed trails, friendly staff, adequate social distancing and health precautions by guests and staff. Eagles, Osprey, Swallows, and Mosquitoes are the flying creatures you will see. Turtles and the largest Armadillos you will ever see (Thanks to Paul Eppling)
Always a wonderful place to see wildlife! I love that there is a small fee to enter because it means there are always people on grounds to keep the park in good shape. The rescued birds are well cared for and the staff is very informative. There are enough trails here that I can take a different walk every time I visit. The boardwalk through the mangroves is currently unavailable but hopefully they will have it back up again soon. I highly recommend a visit if you haven't been, and bring a water bottle!
Great! Loved this place. Nice, clear pathways. Tons of wild life VERY nearby. We spent a couple hours wandering around. We saw 3 alligators, a gopher tortoise, cotton mouth snake, lots of awesome birds. Would go back again!
Really nice nature preserve w/ rescued birds like Hawks and owls as well as great trails for walking. There is a nature center and a playground also.
Love this place! 5 miles of trails with beautiful views of ponds and wildlife. You can walk or bike (except on boardwalks). Several nice sculptures around, lots of baby gators, and birds. We spent a couple of hours and still didn't get to see it all, we'll be returning very soon!
A beautiful nature preserve where you can catch a look at wild Florida.
Beautiful, well marked trails. Lots of wildlife, including baby gators! Highly recommend for walking, hiking, and running.
