My first time eating here I got the reuben nachos and shared them with my friend. They were excellent and I would highly recommend them. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because their soda tasted stale and weird like it had melted freezer burnt ice in it. To be fair, I didn't give them a chance to right it as I didn't want to complain to the waitress. Overall my experience was wonderful and I can't wait to go back again.

Went here with some friends, bartender was extremely rude. There were a group of guys there celebrating with family because one of them was leaving for boot camp and shortly after another group (mixed men and women) came in and almost immediately started trying to pick a fight with the military group. The bartender was obviously friends with the 2nd group and didn't even try to calm them down from causing trouble it was getting pretty scary so we left. Don't recommend for late night drinks. Didn't order any food so can't comment on that.

Went here for the first time for trivia nite. A very enjoyable experience. Food and drinks were served promptly and with a smile. I only snacked on my friends food but what a saw, as the food went by has my attention for my next visit.

On Saturday I hosted my wife's 50th Birthday party at the Boxing Donkey! Joe and the Boxing Donkey team were awesome! The food was great as well the drinks and music! This local owned business is the perfect fit for Roseville and something we need more of! I would host another party at The Boxing Donkey without hesitation! They made so easy to host our friends and family! Once again Thanks Joe and The Boxing Donkey team!

Came here for happy hour which runs until 7:00. From the outside, it reminds me a bit of the pubs I saw in Ireland with the wooden signage and Celtic-style lettering. Close to the train tracks, its location in the older part of Roseville gives it charm.

Inside, it looks very much like your typical pub. Lots of pub games, some guys were playing an electronic golfing game and there were other manly-man video games that didn't look inviting to me.

Dress code-wise, my shirt neckline was too high and my hemline was too low. I felt a bit overdressed due to having more clothing-per-square-inch ratio than the other female patrons, but maybe I'm just getting old.

The happy hour menu has lots of choices:

* $3 French toast sticks - With a crushed Capn' Crunch coating, you get four pieces. It was good, didn't really feel the cereal love though.
* $4 Onion rings - These were fantastic! Light, crispy, ours were a little burnt, but still good.
*$4 Shepherd's Pie - Came with melted cheese over mashed potatoes covering mincemeat w/ vegetables. Served in a largeish ramekin. Not my fave, but husband liked.
*$5 Irish spring rolls - No these were not made with soap! House-made cabbage and corned beef rolled up and deep fried. Interesting, but not interesting enough to pay $5 for two small rolls cut up diagonally.

Had a pint of a Belgian-style beer, don't recall the name, but the pouring handle/spout gizmo had a blue plaid pattern. Yummo. Better than Stella in my opinion.

Lots of flat screen TVs. Watched Australia vs. US in women's softball. Don't know who won, but the US was ahead. I mean, c'mon. Australia just CAN'T beat the US in that sport!

I ordered Fish and Chips while my wife, as suggested by the bartender, ordered Corned Beef Egg Rolls. I received a substantial and tasty serving of Fish and Chips. The Corned Beef Egg Rolls were served HOT, however they had very little flavor. This is a lovely old Pub.

Good food but bartender with a with a man bunandaited on 4 twenty year olds that pushed in front of me and didn't have to wait at all. Then he did it again to my husband, ignored him to wait on the girls again. We had appetizers, 6 drinks and dinner and we're treated like dirt. So if you're over twenty something expect to be ignored.

Good beer choices, tasty (but nitrited) corned beef, and great service, but potatoes seemed reconstituted. Brussel sprouts were fried to the consistency of nori (tasty, but not very nutritious). The cooked cabbage was also enjoyable. Interior is dark, busy, clean, and interesting. Servers always asked about refills before I was empty.

Pay no attention to the notice that they are temporarily closed - that is fake news! BD is still open with a limited takeout menu. You can even get drinks to go. Enjoy the taste of the delicious Boxing Donkey kitchen in your own home. See the website for details!

Food is nothing special. Fish was good but a bit on the greasy side and the chips were just wierd, seemed really dry and hard, not crispy and tender on the inside. Like the beer on nitro, Boddingtons I think it was.

This site is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to that place. Whenever I want to go to a fair dinner, this place comes instantly to my mind. very good and many types of food and a large list of dishes.great crew, and nice mood. Not less important, the price is reasonable. I suggest this place with no hesitation.

Hands down one of the weirdest restaurants I have been to recently. You walk in to an absolutely empty bar. Hello? Are you open? Bart tender says go around the corner. Equally dead eating area with half the lights off. But the food was killer. Really really good. Someone should bottle that donkey sauce. Reasonable prices.
