Came here for happy hour which runs until 7:00. From the outside, it reminds me a bit of the pubs I saw in Ireland with the wooden signage and Celtic-style lettering. Close to the train tracks, its location in the older part of Roseville gives it charm.

Inside, it looks very much like your typical pub. Lots of pub games, some guys were playing an electronic golfing game and there were other manly-man video games that didn't look inviting to me.

Dress code-wise, my shirt neckline was too high and my hemline was too low. I felt a bit overdressed due to having more clothing-per-square-inch ratio than the other female patrons, but maybe I'm just getting old.

The happy hour menu has lots of choices:

* $3 French toast sticks - With a crushed Capn' Crunch coating, you get four pieces. It was good, didn't really feel the cereal love though.
* $4 Onion rings - These were fantastic! Light, crispy, ours were a little burnt, but still good.
*$4 Shepherd's Pie - Came with melted cheese over mashed potatoes covering mincemeat w/ vegetables. Served in a largeish ramekin. Not my fave, but husband liked.
*$5 Irish spring rolls - No these were not made with soap! House-made cabbage and corned beef rolled up and deep fried. Interesting, but not interesting enough to pay $5 for two small rolls cut up diagonally.

Had a pint of a Belgian-style beer, don't recall the name, but the pouring handle/spout gizmo had a blue plaid pattern. Yummo. Better than Stella in my opinion.

Lots of flat screen TVs. Watched Australia vs. US in women's softball. Don't know who won, but the US was ahead. I mean, c'mon. Australia just CAN'T beat the US in that sport!
