This hospital is a joke first of all they can t hit a vein to save their own lives second of all they are not even sure when and if they inject you in the right place. Also they will not allow more than one person in the building per person in surgery, so even though we drove an hour to be here they will not even let you in to cool off or use the rest room. If you plan a surgery at Box Butte be sure you have plenty of time and somewhere to hang out. This surgery was scheduled for 1pm we had to be there by 11am and they did not even take her up for surgery until 3pm. It is now 4:12 and these people don t even know if they need to keep her overnight or not. Meanwhile I sit in my car writing a review because there is literally nothing else to do.

Had a baby here when I originally had planned to go to Scottsbluff for the birth, but I didn t realize how far along I was with contractions so I decided to stay in town and they got me into a room and prepared in no time. Had a good delivery with Dr. Shaffer and we were well attended to by the nurses the whole 2 days there. They even gave us a delicious gift basket when we went home.

My wife and I went there after a pretty bad motorcycle accident. Nurses were awesome, the doctors were absolutely terrible.

Had to be treated in the emergency room and then follow up at the specialty clinic. I had amazing care and attention given to. I thank the great providers that helped me during my time of need.

I am 27 and have some pretty bad heart issues. The doctors are constantly watching me and checking in with me. No issues with them and Dr. STEVE Is a straight shooter and awesome.

--*EDIT*-- 9-16-2020 : Please note that most every negative review dates back to years ago, and years ago some patients had problems with services rendered and/or billing. Nothing bad from me to say here in these things, only praise. My experiences with Box Butte General Hospital these last several weeks as an inpatient have been mighty close to perfection. A couple of minor disruptions, nothing worth mentioning really. Am happy the VA chose to send me here to Urology after it was going to take 4 months to be seen by a medical doctor at my VA Medical Center, though they DID get me assigned and seen by a good Physicians Assistant in a timely manner.

Both the urologist who is here on Mondays and Tuesdays, Dr. Stacy Childs, and his assistant Megan have helped to lift me up and out of the dirt, as I was in really bad shape. The other 2 other physicians I've seen, Dr. Varble and Dr. Smith, have both been top shelf, in my estimation. They listen to you as well as get on the same page as the patient, and the nursing and aide staffing are among the best of the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing during over a dozen years within the medical industry itself. They've all helped to turn my situation around in the biggest way physically, mentally, and emotionally. Am thus far quite pleased with the level of care, courtesy, and respect that I'm receiving from the Urology and Infusions Departments here at Box Butte General Hospital as well as inpatient services and muscle rehabilitation. Food is decent as well, always given choices ahead of time, never a bad meal yet. Were I any happier about BBGH then I'd have to be twins.

Thank you for plowing through this extensive reviewing. Just couldn't say it with any less. Years have passed. BBGH is worth another look if you've not been served by them this past year or so. If you're unhappy then please state why. Highly recommended.

I'm always well taken care of here; I can't think of one time in which I recieved poor care.

Great staff and experience. Can t imagine going anywhere else! Only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars is because of their questionable contract with Medica since it s the only individual insurance available in NE.

Most wonderful staff I've ever encountered. The power went out in alliance for hours, I have a 10 month old and the house was getting way to cold. So I thought to bring her there to keep her warm. Laura the emergency room nurse along with a lot of other nurses opened there arms to me to make sure me and my little one were safe and comfortable. I just moved to Nebraska and I wasn't sure what to do. I want to thank them so much, this general hospital really has some fantastic nurses.

Went in for a migraine on the 4th of July. Couldn t stomach anything, not even liquids. Get to the doctor, he word for word said, What do you want me to do about it?

So all I get is an IV and some anti-nausea medicine. The bill (with insurance) is $1,372.89 and they sent me to collections the second I was able to get a job.

I ve been to a lot of different hospitals, but this one takes the cake for rude people and bad service
