I really enjoy the Bovine. I've always enjoyed every show there. It's a really intimate experience because you're so close to the stage. Everyone I know also enjoys the Bovine. They enjoy watching the shows there and they enjoy performing there. I think it's great that they give a venue for people to show off their talent. I've never been disappointed. They seem to treat their performers well.

We have made the hour long trip to Denver several times for the Bovine Metropolis Theater. They do an excellent job of family-friendly hilarious improv. Each time is different as they involve the audience throughout, and their performers are different as well. We love going to this cute little theater and always have a great time and laugh a lot!

I am having a lot of fun learning and playing at the Bovine! Taking improv classes is a highlight of my week. I enjoy stretching into the creativity and greater self-expression with a group of very fun people. I look forward to integrating my learning into my work as a trainer in Compassionate Communication to add to the fun learning that I offer others. Improv is such a great metaphor for life, looking for new perspectives, creating what we want, saying "yes" to life! The Bovine does a wonderful job of teaching in a supportive and encouraging way. And I love the way a sense of community is created. Being able to attend the very entertaining shows for free as a student is a great bonus too! If you want to have fun, grow, meet people, see some great theater, and expand your life experience, the Bovine is a great place to go for it!

Bovine is the Seconday Night City Live of Colorado. About 100 years ago I graced the Bovine Stage and I'm still wondering how I actually conned people into watching me make a the jokes. As a spectator you will have a great time and perhaps, if you are lucky see the world a little differently. If you are a performer, suicide note is optional, drinking is mandatory.

My husband and I spent our anniversary downtown Denver and came upon the Bovine Metropolis Theater, and we are so happy we did! It was a little hard to find, but the atmosphere was fantastic. We laughed so hard during the sketches. We will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone looking for comedy.

It is hard to describe why, but I find this theater to be one of the most charming and endearing places in all of Denver! The shows are hilarious (especially The Heirs of Hogwarts) and ever changing. The actors are passionate, visible love what they do, and are wildly talented. The theater itself is small, which provides for a very intimate experience (it is also on the second floor of a building next to an Indian restaurant, which adds to the general charm). It is a small, local business that deserves to succeed and is thankfully doing so!

They have five dollar tickets for students (which saves around 15 dollars per show!), so it is the perfect affordable evening activity!

Sorry to say that after high hopes from Google Reviews' 4.8 rating, I can't recommend "Denver's Best Improv Star" - maybe it was an off night, but the performances were painfully unfunny and drawn out. The judges' recaps were repetitive and long-winded: OK for a class, not a performance. On the plus side, a couple of the eight performers will definitely go on to better things and I wish them luck.

I have gone to many comedy clubs just this past year, and out of all the glitz and glam, Bovine was my all time favorite. You get an experience that no one else could come close to offering. Laughs all night. Close to food. Not too pricey. And hey they even offer classes from getting your feet wet in some improv to taking a huge dive into something greater. Bovine is and always will be a 5 star quality club.

It's really one big family of funny people. Everything about it is a great experience. Hopefully one day they'll raise enough money to make the place really beautiful. Right now it's like a simple old New York Greenwich Village Theater.

At a time I was creating a new startup in Denver, I took all 6 levels of training from BMT in order to lower my stress level. It really worked!....the focus and fun level provide a great distraction from the day to day and the creativity flowed over into my job. The people both in the class and from Bovine Metropolis were great to work with and are still friends many years later.

I finally decided to take an improv class at the Bovine several months ago. It was something I had always wanted to do. Though I knew I would learn a lot and have some fun, I had no idea how life changing this could be. The training has been the best thing I have done for my communication business as well as my personal life. There are few classes that weave so well into your life to make you a better communicator, build your confidence and add the extra fun "spice" you're looking for. As a bonus, the instructors and other performers and staff are a blast to be around. The shows are always fun and different. This has been one of the most welcoming environments I have ever been lucky enough to be a part of. Wouldn't trade a single moment of the time I've spent at the Bovine for anything.

The Bovine is the place to be for good, above the waist comedy. The class curriculum is very well thought out and it's an awesome place to hang out. Staff is welcoming and the theater is clean and organized. You definitely don't feel like you are in the wrong part of town or that the theater doesn't fit in this neck of the woods either. A must see in Denver.

I never laugh so hard as I do when we visit the BMT! The comedy is great, with witty nuances that keep you on your toes. I enjoy visiting with the cast after the show. Don't miss the holiday sketches, they are the best.

If you ever thought about taking improv, but fear kept getting in the way this is the place to learn it. The program gradually builds you up until you gain enough confidence to perform on stage and you meet a lot of great people along the way. The theater has a nice deep stage to play in and great stadium seats. Do it!!!

An amazing opportunity to watch others grow in the "art" of Improv. The classes teach and inspire the uninhibited you to blossom. The stage provides an opportunity to have fun while you grow in the art of listening and responding. Any night in the audience is entertaining and inspiring. Denver's Next Improv Star will have you holding your breath come elimination time, Heirs of Hogwarts will hurtle you to the "ever after" beyond the 7th book, On the Spot will have you laughing hysterically. The staff is always upbeat and helpful.

The Bovine Theater is a great venue and a fun way to spend an evening! I'm amazed at the talent of those who have mastered Improv comedy, and the Bovine Theater even offers classes for those who want to learn. Whether for date night or with a group of friends, do yourself a favor in the New Year, and enjoy an evening of laughter!

The Bovine lead Eric Farone is a direct descendant of Del Close and many other greats of Improvisation in Chicago. Eric's own passion for Improv is second to none and his brilliance is a beautiful thing to watch on stage. Denise, also a wonderful Improviser makes you feel at home as soon as you come in! I've graduated twice, hey, I'm a little slow... PLAYER that is... and taken the Harold class. All is top notch training here in Denver that will definitely IMPROV your life! All the best!

i'm a recent re-regular at the bovine - it had been a few years since i'd been to a show here and my love for the art has been renewed!

i've attended both improv & sketch performances (the current holiday show 'red is the new green' is hilarious!) and have LOL'd and snorted (perhaps to the chagrin of those sitting near me) - a belly laugh is good for the soul!

i hear there's a new HVAC system being installed - it has gotten pretty warm, especially in the summer or if you are on the back row near the booth with all the equipment.

MOO!

Bovine is a great theater to see improv and take classes. There is such a tight community of amazing people from all kinds of backgrounds. There are socially awkward people working on social skills, actors adding work to their resume, people who just genuinely love performance arts, some people taking classes just to see what it's like, and more! I highly recommend taking classes - they just might change your life as much as they did mine!

First time watching Improv and attending the 6th season of Denver's Next Improv Star.

With a small intimate venue it allowed for audience participation and really enlightening on what Improv is really all about. Great staff, talented participants and wonderful venue kept me coming back week after week.

Absolutely loved my experiences at the Bovine and looking forward to coming back.

Been here several times for several different shows. Aways enjoyed it. The actors are funny and get the audience involved. They never have done the same skits since I've been going there.

The theater is on the smaller side which means you have an up close view of the stage amd actors but that also means there's not a ton of seating. They do yak reservations but if you dont have any, make sure you arrive early to get seats.

I have loved every interaction I have had with Bovine and its representatives. They are a classy, kind, generous operation. The improv training is exceptional, and they are community-minded. I have very much enjoyed our experience with Bovine over the years, and our students' educational experiences have been greatly enriched as a result. Thank you Bovine Metropolis, and keep up the great work!

The improv show had talented and hardworking actors. The theater is small but the audience was unfortunately smaller for the late show on a Saturday night. I'd like to go back and see them with a full house.

I've been coming to the Bovine for at least five years now. I'm not an easy laugh...but when I come to the Bovine, that totally changes! I find myself laughing all night. The improv show (On the Spot) is always funny, and the Christmas sketches that I've attended have been really entertaining as well, especially the songs. It is a fairly family-friendly show, but I would recommend teens and up.

I've watched Whose Line... before, but we were new to the improv scene. We watched Red is the New Green. It was funny. We stayed for On the Spot. I laughed so hard my mouth was hurting by the end of the show. We brought our 12 y.o. and 15 y.o. kids. The material was clean. I found out I could have parked in a nearby garage and got validated parking, but still got more than our $50's worth (admission for 4 and parking) of entertainment. I will definitely be going back and bringing more friends and family.

I went to see the Heirs of Hogwarts improv show, and it exceeded expectations! I loved that the team was able to keep up a thread of narrative through the entire show, while maintaining the momentum and humor. I felt the ticket cost was a bit high, but it was worth it, and it's probably extra worth it if you stick around for the late show (which the ticket includes), which unfortunately I couldn't do last time. I will be back!

Cheaper than a movie, much funnier than just wandering around the 16th street mall. The shows are always high energy and unpredictable. If you are looking for a laugh and maybe that special something else that only improv can deliver, hoist yourself up the Bovine's stairs to comedy paradise!

I also highly recommend taking classes to everybody regardless of their career. All occupations benefit from improv training; Doctor's will improve their bedside manner, waiters will see their tips increase, and software engineers will learn to divert attention from coding errors; everybody wins with a little improv in their skillset. It should be required in the public school curriculum. Did I mention that it's also fun?
