Stayed in beautiful over water bungalows. Amazing water. Lots of walking around the resort but the staff was friendly. Lovely drift snorkel walking distance. Not great snorkeling from the rooms but you can swim in the shallow water and you can see lots of fish in the lights beneath your bungalows at night. Some sharks and rays in the early morning and at night. :) We stayed 3 to a room. Mother and 2 adult daughters. One king bed and one day bed. Very comfortable.

A 10 the physical place, incredible reception with the lodging decorated with flowers and champagne and welcome chocolates. Excellent attention. Spectacular beach with lounge chairs and hammocks in Paraguay. Breakfast is spectacular, dinner at the main restaurant that is French is extremely scarce. Food suitable for celiacs available. Mineral water without charge every day. When checking out they gave us a room with towels and everything necessary to be used until we left for the airport, it was a very valuable extra because we continue using all the facilities until the last moment

Very nice hotel with flowers and well maintained, the staff is smiling and efficient. Beautiful infinity pool in front of the sea with bar. Spacious room on stilts tastefully decorated. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection and we congratulate the chef for his card, we feasted.

A simply perfect family weekend from start to finish. A sublime place. A attentive and attentive staff at all times. A gastronomy to die for. Excellent pool bar and good advice. And the icing on the cake is the beach villa with swimming pool! In short, I can only recommend Le Taha'a Resort strongly and without moderation ...

Le Tahaa was the second stop on our honeymoon. We were picked up at the airport by boat and then it was about 30 minutes to the hotel. We even saw dolphins on the crossing.
The reception was very warm and we were shown the resort afterwards. The staff is very friendly and the service was excellent. I can't confirm that with the WiFi, WiFi worked flawlessly with us.
The Le Tahaa lacks nothing, plenty of entertainment. In the evening we liked to use the tennis court. Equipment can be borrowed from reception. We also booked a jet ski tour through the concierge, where we looked at a pearl farm and a vanilla plantation. Afterwards we went swimming with sharks and snorkeling. Absolute highlight, we can highly recommend it.
The OW bungalow is very spacious and has a huge terrace.
We thought it was great that the minibar was included.
We used the room service every day (food and service was excellent!), As we were totally bitten by the mosquitoes on the island on the first day. Be sure to pack mosquito repellent! There are no mosquitos at the OW bungalows. We cannot recommend a room on the island itself due to the mosquito plague!
Breakfast was ok. What was good and what I found really good were the verse. Juices and milks. I also often ordered a sweet crepe that was excellent. But I've also found better breakfasts in other houses in this category.
The lagoon of Le Tahaa's a dream & the coral garden with lots of colorful fish. You can also rent snorkeling equipment.
The sunsets were an absolute dream, we really enjoyed the view of Bora Bora. All in all, we had a wonderful stay at Le Tahaa and can highly recommend it.

My wife and I went to Le Taha'a for our honeymoon ...

My wife and I went to Le Taha'a for our honeymoon in January 2020 for five nights after a LOT of research. #1 criteria - overwater bungalow! We knew this would be a luxury trip, but wanted the maximum amount of seclusion and hospitality possible. Le Taha'a did not disappoint! What an amazingly breathtaking resort. Every day, we woke up to a picturesque view of the Taha'a mountainside over an incredibly blue ocean. Here are some of our opinions that should help you on your own journey to the lovely French Polynesia.

Weather:
We knew we were going during the "offseason" in January, but honestly, it was fine in terms of rain and temperatures. It was absolutely perfect most of the time. Mid-80's and beautiful. Occasionally, it would rain for a few minutes and we'd laugh about it. Then move forward with our day. When the sun comes out, it's VERY HOT. Bring enough sunscreen to deal with it. We were applying every couple hours and still got burned, but we're from Wisconsin, so....it was bound to happen. We tried. Bugs, on the other hand, were not really an issue even though we brought bug spray. We never had to use it.

The Bungalow:
Unreal. Beautiful with lots of amenities. There s a shaded table outside where we spent hours sitting at, drinking and playing cards. A ladder goes down to the water. Inside, a king size bed, bath tub, two sinks, open shower. Perfect for us in nearly every way. This is what you re here for - the incredible bungalow right on the water. Enjoy it!

Food:
Each morning, we would go to the free breakfast buffet and LOAD UP on food, knowing we would likely not eat lunch (in part because of the cost and in part because we were busy with activities). The selection was great. My wife is vegan and had a lot of options - fruit, hashbrowns, vegetables, dairy alternatives. As an omnivore, I had plenty of eggs, meats, and cheeses to choose from. For dinner, we went three of five nights. The first night (Tuesday) was the Polynesian buffet - delicious and fun with the fire dancing, but we were shocked at the end that it was $95/person. Just be careful with the costs. On other nights, entrees are generally $30+ so the total dinner cost can be high. They did have a vegetarian/vegan menu, which was a nice touch. On the other two nights, we actually ordered room service and it was a good experience. Still pretty expensive, but we had some more affordable options with the added benefit of drinking our own drinks and not having to get dressed up to go out. It was the rare time in our lives where room service was sometimes a better idea than in-person dining.

Activities:
The snorkeling at the Coral Garden next to Le Taha a is absolutely breathtaking. Only a five minute walk from the bungalow. We brought our own snorkel masks, but you can borrow masks from them if you need. Every day, we snorkeled for at least a few hours. It was the best snorkeling we ve personally ever experienced, plus free and at your own pace. It s a bit tricky knowing where to go and navigating through the Coral Garden. The current will literally DRAG you through the garden. At first, it was a little scary not knowing which way to go. It gets shallow in some spots and we did everything possible to avoid scraping against coral (luckily, we avoided it). But it became a challenge for us, and we got better at swimming hard to the left or right, or just standing up (in the sand, NOT the coral) and surveying the situation before proceeding. In the end, it was SO MUCH fun and after the Coral Garden current lightens up, there are plenty of places to explore, so many videos to take, so many species of fish to see. It was a truly unique wonder of nature.

Thank you, Le Taha a, for making our honeymoon an incredibly memorable experience. We are already planning our 10-year anniversary trip (ok, maybe 5-year)!

Everything was brilliant until we realized our money was stolen from our bungalow. The hotel staff barely batted an eyelid when we explained, it seems it s wasn t the first time this has happened. When I did a google search I soon realized it wasn t the 1st time this had happened. Definitely a disappointing way to finish our honeymoon. Tried to reach out to the hotel numerous times but very poor communication as soon as you leave the resort. I will be talking to the local police as I wouldn t like this to happen to anyone else. Over $300 USD.

Amazing hotel located on a small private island! A dream come true! They came to pick us up at the airport on a boat and brought us to the hotel. The overwater bungalow is amazing. The facilities, the service, and the food are unbeatable! The coral garden that they have a 2 minute swim away is from another world. 10/10.

A perfect stay! The setting has charm (we are far from aseptic resorts) and the staff are warm. The undeniable asset of the Taha a is its exceptional coral garden located a few meters from the hotel! What a joy that all these fish and colors within reach of a snorkel!
The restaurants offer additional menus according to your wishes: gourmet, on the go, classic and complementary. The cuisine is very well executed!
The concierge service is efficient.
Our best accommodation in Polynesia!

This was the perfect place for our honeymoon. The over-water villa was magical, the staff were excellent, and the facilities kept beautifully. Everything from the flowers on check-in to the little checkout reminder note they left were very thoughtful. We really enjoyed seeing the coral garden and exploring the smaller reefs near our villa.

Would have given 5 stars but several years ago activities were limited mainly because you're secluded on the island so fun day trips anywhere off the island were almost not an option. But the service and amenities were 5 star and made for unforgettable memories in an idilic setting. Truly a jewel of a resort.

Without a doubt this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in in French Polynesia!
Bungalows: It is giant, with an outdoor area, with a table, sun loungers and steps directly to the sea. Internally, the bungalow is very new, rich in detail, with bathtub, shower area, large wardrobe, large window to the sea without obstruction of view.
Hotel structure: amazing. The hotel has a coral reef that several hotels come to visit and is available to guests. The hotel offers cool buoys to float on the sea.
Pool: Not too big, but sufficient considering the calm sea.
Breakfast: Giant and with a lot of variety!

Differential: the island is from the hotel, it is very quiet, the water is turquoise blue Clarinha and surely the infra and the experience will be unforgettable!

A luxury that you can not miss if you travel to French Polynesia! The service and the rooms are excellent, super recommendable. Ideal for two or three days of relaxation ... the private island of the hotel, the coral garden full of variety of fish! Very pretty. The only counter is that at night there is only one restaurant and the menu is a little bounded. So it is recommended to use the room service (at night) the rest everything perfect!

We shuttled there for the day from Taha'a and thoroughly enjoyed the coral garden. I would not stay there however because: the property is dated and in need of renovations, the food was excellent but the restaurant brought us our main course before before the appetizer, the front desk staff is friendly but not knowledgeable about the resort.

With my daughter we enjoyed Roberto and his lovely wife. Only regret not to have seen the coral reef in front. Pb of health not possible to row and pedal to explore the surroundings. Roberto offered us a tour different from the one we chose with the agency in the land with very complete comments. The visit of the pearl farms, the vanillery and the interesting stuff. The evening meals were very good and every day different. Inadequate air conditioning damage. And no cleaning every day. Nevertheless we recommend the place to finish very nice view.

This resort was awesome and much more budget friendly that where we went after... The St Regis. It still isn't cheap but at least it's reasonable. Personally, I'd come back here before the St Regis. Much more bang for the buck and still very nice.

Tips: They restock your fridge every day with whatever you've drank and ate (or hid) from the previous day. 2 for 1 happy hour at the pool bar. Buy some liquor at duty free on your way in. Go do the drift snorkel by following the sign with a map and instructions. The food in the buffet night was amazing (Friday I think).

This is a heavenly hotel !! It is a little piece of heaven on earth, since we disembarked the attention has been incredible, the general manager gave us a super welcome, Benjamin checked us in and guided us to the room, explaining and clarifying each question we asked, the Room is a dream as well as the views and the peace that reigns here, it is definitely a place that makes you think about coming back soon, our visit was a surprise that my husband and children prepared for me without me knowing my destination until I arrived here and not stop crying, this is a dream, it is an incredible place !!!

Beautiful well maintained property with a staff to match. Food is pretty solid for a couple day stay. Was disappointed their higher end restaurant was closed while we were there.

Bungalows are on a shallow Lagoon you can walk through, which was unique. The nearby (walk to) coral gardens were pretty incredible.

Arrival experience from raiatea airport via boat was a cool (and very simple) experience.

Overall very happy with this place for a two day stay.
