woful service! Purchase a chair on 20th August 2017, no contact from BVE until today.
A note to say sorry but the product has been sold and blaming "Etsy" for not notifying them of the sale!
Serious lack of integrity and contempt towards customer! Product still available on BVE's own website!

Brilliant! A vast and interesting array of antiques, vintage memorabilia and reclaimed pieces from a large number of individual sellers. Unlike some places the sellers aren't in residence which allowed us to have a proper, unhurried look at what was on offer. Bought a few ex-army lampshades for a project of my own and had some amazing soup in the cafe. A lovely couple of hours!

Bournemouth s little hidden gem! We only have just discovered Bournemouth Vintage Emporium and we are so impressed with the place. Fully of affordable vintage, antique, mid-century quirky pieces. The staff are very helpful and the tea rooms serve amazing coffee and homemade cake. Definitely worth a vist if you haven t been before.

This is a great find. It's one of the few vintage stores which really has an eclectic collection of curiosities. Everything from mid century Danish furniture to 1970s football magazines, LPs, reel to reel, old armchairs. You can spend hours in here and if you get tired then there's always the great coffee shop with cream tea. A bit more legible pricing on items would raise this to a 5-star experience.

What a nice find. A Vintage Emporium with some amazing furniture, jewellery, clothes and unusual objects all on one floor and a lovely cafe too. If you want to browse round you won't be disappointed and if you've got money to burn there is plenty to buy.

The cafe in the BVE is fantastic!
Home baked cakes and pastries, together with delicious coffee or tea.
Why not treat yourself to a fabulous milkshake (lots of excellent flavours to choose from).
Highly recommended

Very interesting Antiques Shop. Quite large inside, lots to see & covet! Set out in 'rooms' so you could buy a complete style! Reasonably priced items too. Even have old Mod Scooters for sale!
Can browse then relax in the comfy old chairs & sofas in the Vintage Tea Rooms & soak up the atmosphere over tea & cake!
There is now an Upholsterer in residence!

A big thank you to the owner for his warmth and continued help.

We moved to Dorset from the midlands recently after a drawn out house move due to lockdown After a lifelong ambition to retire to the south coast we were so daunted by what was happening globally, at times we were in two minds as to whether to make the move or not.

Eventually we did exchange and completed, then took the hike South where we have holidayed for many years. Our house was as good as empty on arrival as we wanted a complete new start, so searched the internet for the perfect furnishing etc to go with our new home. We was informed by our neighbour about the Vintage Emporium near Christchurch, which had been a huge help when she purchased her home, so we decided to to drive over and take a peek.

From then on in, we could not have been more delighted. The owner was so friendly and knowledgeable, we took him up on his offer to guide us around the showroom as he asked us about our new home and plans for our retirement. He was so attentive and aware of what we were trying to achieve, we finally asked if he could visit our house and help with the arrangement.

On arrival, we were shown a portfolio of pictures with furniture dating from the eighteenth to early nineteenth century which was what we explained was our preferred taste. After browsing the portfolio, we eventually entrusted him to take pictures of our new house and layout so that he could devise a scheme to our liking. Within a few days we were emailed some ideas which he believed were consistent with what we were hoping to accomplish. I cannot thank him enough for what he has done for us. From our hallway and lounge, through to our dining room and orangery including the bedrooms, we have everything we were aspiring to achieve and more. The transformation is incredible and a transformation that we know without him, far exceeded our own capabilities The urns outside the gates were a finishing touch that we would never have had thought of and which hold a special place in our hearts, due to their historic relevance to my wife's childhood home near Stratford-upon-Avon.

Again, a big thank you for all your help and we will certainly take you up on your offer to pop in for a coffee and light lunch in your lovely coffee shop, which was unfortunately closed due to the pandemic restrictions.

We Visited late sunday so there was less selction at the cafe but enjoyed the pannins and Cake available. The real standout for this place is the setting, its facinating seeing all the oddities and vintage products and items around the cafe. Next to the cafe is the emporium itself, full of vintage antiques, upcycled furniture and fashion. We spent 20 minutes just looking at all the stands so well worth the trip.

I had a terrible experience on visiting the Bournemouth Vintage Emporium yesterday afternoon with my uncle. On entering and pleasantly greeting a member of staff we were asked by him to 'behave ourselves' and were told that we 'looked like trouble'. As we were both very much 'behaving ourselves' and were in there to buy a lamp this struck me as very odd behaviour. I note other reviewers who have had similar issues with a member of staff here; perhaps it's the same one. It's a real shame as there are some interesting piece here but our experience was marred by poor customer service. An apology would be greatly appreciated...

Fun place to visit, with many curios and collectibles to see. On our last visit the tea room only accepted cash. Walked to a cashpoint, spotted Costa and ended up there. Would have been nice to stay!

When I visited with a friend they didn't have any cream for cream teas. Sort of not a tea room then, almost by definition. I had cake, which was nice. My friend asked for scones anyway with jam, had to ask for butter which the waitress seemed to think was an effort, and we had to suggest that the full price wasn't reasonable in light of the no clotted cream status. My cake was pretty expensive too. I said I wouldn't go back because there are better places nearby serving better stuff for less. The chairs are all vintage, by which they mean badly upholstered and borderline dangerous. Not as good as it should have been.

Lovely, lovely place for tea and a cake. Rather unique in the fact that it's decor is all mismatched vintage furniture. Tea comes in China tea pots not boring steel. Cups are also China so nice to drink from. Good selection of cakes and snacks too. Is a little chilly so take your coat but they do have rads around and it sort of adds to the charm. Clean facilities and very large sales/show room at rear that can keep you a entertained for ages. Limited road side first come first served parking.

Cool place, really quirky with some real treasures to be found although you have to hunt for them. Alot of vintage furniture here. Hundreds of old books. War relics can be found. Tons of retro gear including clothing and accessories. Vintage dj/audio equipment. Also plays host to a coffee room. Like any emporium it can be different with every visit.

Biased as I am regarding all things vintage...I rate this place. A eclectic mix of everything from the 30s to Industrial interiors. Give yourself time to look into dark corners you never know what you may unearth . When all done retire to the cafe for coffee and cake...

I took my Mum here for the first time for her birthday afternoon tea thinking it was going to really nice.
We couldn't get a seat and when we eventually did the table wasn't cleared. We then asked how long till we would be served after sitting for ten minutes, she replied five to ten minutes. After another ten minutes we was told that we had to order at the counter. When we went to order they had no scones for a cream tea, at this point we just left. Not great service and only one member of staff The emporium was nice to walk around as had unusual things but I would avoid the tea rooms. Shame as it could be a really nice place if it had more staff and food available to order.

Steve in the vintage emporium also deserves a mention. A really nice helpful guy. Thanks for making our visit so enjoyable. We can highly recommend you to all our friends and be back soon.
