Bournemouth Rock Review

THE PERFECT SPOT Nice coffee and Apple Caramel cake and a large G&T but not serving food at 3pm due to lack of custom but all beautiful and pleasant.

I thoroughly enjoyed visting Bournemouth pier. There are some nice restraunts and there are quite a few activities which are great for parties of all ages. Would fully recommend to those who enjoy great days out to the beach!

bournemouth is well overated,i moved to worthing two years ago
which has just come second for the best pier,which is free all year round
unlike b,mouth that employs foreign workers to charge a pound to walk on a pier that offers nothing,its a place that on entering from the wessex way ,you are trapped in traffic to the stench of the sewers,parking is the biggest rip off in the country,my advice for a couple of hrs drive is bring the family to worthing for a great day with very cheap parking

You're get a lovely view from all sides of the pier

Nice, lovely and blue view to the sea I would say sit with your partner and count he waves (or sea gulls) for a romantic hour (or do your own way :) ).
Nearly kept this pier, good for a walk - make it long or short, but you will enjoy being there.

We have an oil rig in the bay at the moment who gave permission for that? We have just been voted best beach again second year running now with a view of an oil rig!!!! 2 months later and the oil rig has gone lets hope it doesn't come back.

Not too crowded as a small fee needed to walk down the pier. Nice activities and a cafe at the end, really nice and tidy.

Beautiful sandy beach safe and shallow walking into the sea. Perfect for small children

You have to pay to walk on the pier... when you do you ll be disappointed that there s nothing to do on the pier other than look out onto the beach

Nice area and attractions, but very expensive for food and drinks and NO fish and chips to be found anywhere

One of the finest beach in UK , proper lively, nice food around and night life . Feels like abroad.

Lots to do and some great places to eat worth the visit

Having to pay (even only 1.20 pounds) to enter the pier is very annoying especially when the pier is nothing special.

Was a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very sandy beach. Not even exaggerating, the sand was everywhere, but the water felt quite refreshing. Was baking hot but we are lucky we put on loads of suncream. The ice cream was DELICIOUS, More

Great re-vitalised space between the gardens and the golden beaches, a place to dwell a while rather than just walk through.

No idea what i just paid for. Appently the chance to pay more money for something. Rip off.

Lovely walk along the prom. Everywhere was clean and tidy too, nice part of the world to visit

It may be the current times with COVID-19 that's affecting the atmosphere at the pier. Would have preferred to visit when it was buzzing and the shops were open. The beach was nice but apart from that there was nothing interesting to see here..

city highlight, never understood why... just a pier.

Nice pier, visited in mid November so weather wasn't best but the pier had a barrier running up the middle to make the walk pleasant. Lots of little outlets available and an amazing zip wire that sent you across the sea before arriving halfway up the beach!
Plan to go visit again in the summer.

Spectacular view from the pier to the beach. Great restaurant. Good price is great service.

One of the great places to relax and spend time alone. Prices to get in just 1.20 which is not bad. Great views as well.

Loved my visit to Bournemouth for a few days get away with my partner. First of the year due to covid. We will be back hopefully next year

The 'fun fair' at the end of the pier was very disappointing. 2 small children's rides and a harnessed trampoline. Rock reef is very good for all ages. Lots of fun for all

Lovely views out to sea and Isle of Wight. Nice food. 2 for 1 cocktails, at times.

Beginning to look run down. Needs money spent on it and the theatre reopening.

It's a fantastic place to experience ocean breeze and sunset along with food and wine in the restaurant there. The restaurant also offers a wide range of cocktails and cocktails to make your evening fabulous. If you have kids a lot of amusement activities are there even more adults can experience zip line from the tower to the beach. It is short but you may never know your adventure sport career start from it leading to bungy jump one day . But it's really a good experience. It has docs on both sides where people can do fishing as well. It's a good photography spot and has toilets too.

What an absolutely delightful little gem. The staff - both at the toll booth granting entrance to the pier, and in the restaurant at the end of the pier - were friendly, efficient and charming. The restaurant is decorated in a sort of cruise ship kitsch style which actually really works. Our cakes and teas were tasty and reasonably priced. We will be returning.

So nearly a five star but alas the cafe here does not do an all-day breakfast. Pier does it's job though, makes you feel like Jesus walking on the water.

No social distancing whatsoever and a free for all. No masks worn inside. Lax and very disconcerting....

Dont go to the zip line, its about 100 - 150m long and not at all spectacular. The whole beach is beautiful but people dont clean after themselves, sad...

Pier zipwire was amazing and staff were lovely. Very disappointed to see the council charge people to enter the pier though. Very sad.
