Amazing place amazing organization. BILLY HORR below wanted a pampered vacation in lieu of actual training to make himself better. This clown left after the first day and is trying to smear this great organization. 10-10 would recommend every veteran that is struggling to reach out. These are some of the best humans I ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. This is training not counseling.

It s been about a 3 years. I was suffering from anxiety, depression etc. off and on. When you are so used to looking out for others and being darn good at it I struggled with asking and needing help. I experienced what they referred to as post traumatic growth .

Rounding out my time with group and individual talk , yoga, TRX exercise, meditation, archery, horseback riding and numerous other outdoor activities helped build the mind body connection. I would go on to make TRX and yoga a weekly part of my life. Having faith in those (and God) who are trying to help you is very important. It was a long-term commitment I needed to make and I did. I am now benefiting from my hard work.

I finished initiation today. This is an amazing place for those who want to get better. We had someone leave after 12 hours because he didn t feel pampered enough. He admitted to being a professional wounded warrior, and honestly wouldn t surprise me if at best he doesn t want to get better and at worst is faking his deployment issues. After 12 years in the army and losing friends in Iraq I have struggled for years to adjust to life as a civilian. I refused to admit I had a problem, mostly because there were other who had it much worse. The struggle left me suicidal, broke, and hopeless. Boulder Crest offers a holistic approach to retraining veterans, active duty, and first responders, that will give people tools to struggle well, with the ultimate goal of living the life you deserve. If you re a combat veteran and struggling with purpose, identity, and a place to fit it, boulder crest will help you, provided you want to be helped.

I was honestly a bit surprised to see that there were only 7 reviews of BCR. I know the impact they are making and it is incredible. BCR Warrior PATHH not only changed my life but the lives of my wife, kids, parents, siblings and friends around me. It's not possible to sum up in a short review how wonderful this place and their program is. Highly recommend, 5 stars without a doubt.

Cabins are perfect. Staff is inexpirenced and self loathing. The staff walks around with guides, manuals and pamplets because they dont know how to talk to people. Bring your own drinks. No beverages but water and coffee...Million dollar estate and no coffee is made for guests. You know its trouble when they constantly ask you dont leave, we want you to stay . A great effort but its a fail. 6 staff members for 6 guests....and no one wanted to make cofee. Camp portions too.

Had an amazing experience here with my husband through EODWF and SWiS. I've never felt so blessed to be a part of something. Honored the difficulty of deployments and rejoiced in all of military marriages unique challenges. We wrote a song together that we'll have for the rest of our lives. Can't thank them all enough.

About Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness

Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness is a non-profit organization that provides support to combat veterans, first responders, and their families. The foundation was established in 2010 by Ken Falke, a retired Navy EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) technician who served in the Gulf War. After experiencing the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) himself, Falke wanted to create a safe space where veterans could heal from their physical and emotional wounds.

The retreat is located on 37 acres of land in Bluemont, Virginia. It offers various programs that focus on mental health wellness such as Posttraumatic Growth (PTG), Combat Stress Recovery Program (CSRP), Family Restrengthening Program (FRP), Warrior PATHH program, and more.

The Posttraumatic Growth program helps participants develop resilience skills through activities such as yoga, meditation, art therapy, equine therapy and other outdoor activities. The Combat Stress Recovery Program focuses on helping participants manage symptoms of PTSD through evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy(EMDR).

The Family Restrengthening Program aims to help family members understand the challenges faced by their loved ones who have experienced trauma while also providing them with tools to support them during their healing journey.

One of Boulder Crest's most innovative programs is Warrior PATHH which stands for Progressive And Alternative Training for Healing Heroes. This program is an immersive experience designed specifically for combat veterans struggling with PTSD or other invisible wounds of war. It combines traditional therapeutic methods with alternative approaches like mindfulness practices and adventure-based learning.

Boulder Crest Retreat has been recognized nationally as one of the leading organizations providing care for military personnel suffering from PTSD or other invisible wounds of war. In 2015 it was awarded the prestigious Wounded Warrior Project's "Warrior Care Network" designation which recognizes organizations that provide high-quality care to warriors suffering from PTSD or traumatic brain injury(TBI).

In addition to its retreat center in Virginia Boulder Crest Foundation has expanded its services across America by opening satellite locations called "Boulder Crest Villages". These villages are designed specifically for wounded warriors transitioning out of military service into civilian life.

Overall Boulder Crest Retreat For Military And Veteran Wellness provides an essential service not only to our nation's heroes but also their families who have sacrificed so much during times when they needed them most. With its innovative approach towards healing trauma through various programs offered at its retreat center along with satellite locations across America it continues making significant strides towards improving mental health wellness among our nation's heroes while also raising awareness about this critical issue affecting many Americans today.
