Worst bouncers and customer service ever. Make u wait in line and yell at you. When inside they were not very nice either. Move and get out the way, basically. Sad to say another reason Chicago has no good concert venues!!!!

A great venue and bar. Some of my favorite concerts have been here. It's large enough to draw some big bands and has solid audio.
The bar section has a great, rotating, selection of beers as well as delicious food.
Quality music venue and a great atmosphere makes the Bottom Lounge well worth a visit.

The Waiter gave our credit card to someone else, gave us their card and refused to fix the situation. My favorite part was when we advised that we didn't have a second form of payment he shrugged and said, "Someone has to pay for this"

Had a good time here seeing Municipal Waste and Exodus. Beer is cheaper than other venues and there was a higher ceiling with cooler temps than concord which was nice.

Security was relaxed but maybe only because it was a Sunday. They did a great job keeping everything in check with how crazy the crowds were going.

Parking was easy, there is a garage about 4min walk from venue for $9.

Good food and great live music venue. I drove up from Indianapolis for the IAMX concert, and an amazing time was definitely had. We grabbed dinner in the restaurant before heading into the performance room for the concert. (If you're eating there, I highly recommend the giant pretzel. It's as big as your head and absolutely delicious. Om nom nom. So good.) The venue felt spacious enough to move around comfortably, but still provided a really intimate and moving music experience. Great acoustics, too! The bar was great, and the bartenders were amazing. They were so friendly and didn't rush anyone, but were still skillful and quick at getting drinks out. The selection of craft beers and ciders on tap was awesome, and the mixed drinks were mighty tasty. Overall, I was impressed and we will definitely be back!

Cool venue for quick bites and good times! We came for Craig Robinson and the Nasty Delicious. FABULOUS! Music and laughs in a super cool space. Two tips you can find a free parking spot within one block if you have time to look for it. Get your drinks in the dining room there's virtually no wait and the selection is fantastic!

not a bad venue. hilarious bathroom graffiti. not just by one guy, but one guy, then another responding to him, then a third, then a fourth, then a fifth, then another... kept me entertained for seconds and seconds.
hipstery bartenders though, looked at my wife and I like "why are you in here?" I came for the concert, not your attitude, sorry we're dumb breeders.

also, the neighborhood isn't the best. I'd heard mixed reviews from others who've attended shows here from "ehh, not bad" to "my car got broken into outside" -- Another friend of mine (this was just this past saturday [three days ago]) - took the el, and got off and was walking from the Ashland stop (2 blocks away) and wound up getting jumped, robbed and nearly killed. sooooooo.....coulda done without that, but I know that really isn't the venue's fault, but things like this will certainly influence future visits by others as well as myself.

I've seen so many great shows here. The drinks are incredibly reasonable for a venue. Good is pretty good too. Love this place. Parking can sometimes be a pain so just use spot hero for the parking garage down the street.

This bar is always fun and intimate because it is one of those smaller venues. I even get to meet band members every once in a while just running into them before the show in the parking lot or in the crowd after their set. Really good bands play here if you're into rock or indie or pop or punk or anything between really.

It's a shame a venue like this would fall to it's knees to ANTIFA out of all " Organized group" the poor little Attention seeking Spineless rats. Shame shame shame. I won't support a venue that limits our freedoms. Antifa are the true Fascist! TAAKE had a successful show in Chicago and there was no fuss.... but someone that runs a Facebook page that begins with a name antfia is somehow credible. How credible was this person?! That's right... They aren't!

Let me say first that I have not been here for just the Bar/Lounge aspect of the venue.

We attended a concert here on a Wednesday night - it was an 18+ show.
The venue itself is no Lincoln Hall. The stage is large, and the space for concert-goers is pretty decent.
Beer/Drink prices are a bit inflated in the actual venue though.

I do have to comment on the sound quality. It seems that the worst place to be is next to the stage. Maybe it was just the concert we went to, but for the most part the singers had a bit of a hollow, tinny tone and there was no real depth to the sound of the music - it just fell a bit flat.

Decent venue, layout is simple and easy to figure out, but the sound system is not the best I've ever heard. A bit dirty too at the beginning of the night, but what can you expect. Cool location to see a concert in Chicago.

There are some terrible places to take in a music show in Chicago, which makes Bottom Lounge refreshing. Lots of room, decent acoustics, ICE cold beer, good bartending. My only issue was the pinball games were more of a sick joke. I'm a pinball nerd I guess, but I've never seen worse machines on location. Every single one had major issues and stole everyone's money. I'm sure they get complaints about it all night from the amount of people we saw. So for being sadistic or simply not caring about customers, enjoy 4 stars instead of 5.

Expensive and not worth the money !! 1. I saw extra $2 if you ask for on the rocks. (Wow thats $2 for ice cubes). 2. I had 4 Jack and coke but there was a mix up, whatever, I felt that the coke was jacked up and there was hardly any Jack. 3. Food was okay. Let's say if compare it to Dyllans near Union station, this place is 60% more expensive and has everything quiet similar except for music band(for which you are paying extra anyways)

Intimate venue with enough space to breathe. One bar before going into the concert and another bar inside the venue. Clean bathrooms. Saw Jinjer at this venue and the sound was awesome and in your face. No parking lot, but there is parking on the street.

Great venue for shows. I enjoyed both concerts I saw here, "Between the Buried and Me" and "Murder by Death". Sound was done well, and the space was large enough to accommodate many while still feeling personal and cozy. This drink selection is pretty good, too. There's a coat check, but it's cash only, so be prepared. Only complaint is that merch was setup in a weird spot and the line can block bathrooms if it's too long.

love this venue...where beer meets music in a low key back alley type feel. Cool menu options. A hidden gem over on the "west" side of Chicago....two man enter 1 man leave with a half sleeve.....

Good shows, decent price, a little out of the way, and for late night shows the Green Line stops running after a certain time so it can be a hassle. What I truly love is the second floor Volcano Room, and patio. On a summer day/night nothing beats that skyline view, the roar of the trains in the back, and some brews.
