Awesome Venue , Even with a packed house we still had a great view of the Stage and Performance! The Resturant was also very impressive with delicious burgers and stiff drinks while we waited for the Show to Start I would most definitely recommend a visit to take in a show or grab a bite to eat

GREAT music venue, bar and restaurant. Been there twice now for concerts and it's very organized. Staff is super friendly (and patient) and that's always appreciated. If you get the chance to stop in, take it!

My god this place rules. If a band you love plays here and you don't go, that is totally on you, man, and seriously, what's your problem? Great place to drop in for a beer and a snack, and they have cheap Schlitz during shows. A bit on the punk rock side but this place caters to all comers.

Still a favorite place to hang, watch hockey (or to get drinks before hitting the UC) or for checking out live shows. Food is good, have their Mac n Cheese, it's deceptively satisfying. Also, don't forget to try out the pinball machines!

Beautiful industrial 2 story building with a history. Upon entrance, you walk into the restaurant with a full bar, then The main venue is equipped with a VIP room, bathrooms, and green rooms for the musicians. The 2nd story venue is mainly for private events with a patio outside to catch the breathtaking view of the Sears Tower. The staff is super friendly, very accommodating. They should have more Vegetarian options but the food I've tried has been very delicious! It's fun to just walk in and have a drink or two without there being a show, bartenders are always cute and lovely.

Great music venue, especially for rad local bands. Bar area both upstairs and downstairs are usually pretty great. This place is fun to take a big group to. The food is pretty delicious as well, and the beer selection is great.

Omg! All my friends love this place. You know why? Because everybody wants to build their own meal. And feel thay have created something unique. And you have to like whatever you have chosen. Such a cool marketing technique. However, it's not only the choice, but how they make pasta. Always delicious. Make sure to try their side, too. I prefer their green salad!

Big space - kind of has a warehouse feel...it's in a deserted area sort of... really noisy because of the trains nearby -- especially the Metra. Has a small rooftop lounge. First floor is more of a bar while the second floor has a dance/club feel with the large dance floor and the rooftop right out the door.

I'm usually into the typical sports/dive bar scene, but this place is just OK. The location is good considering there's not too much in the immediate vicinity. I've never been for a live show, so maybe that's the problem. The one time I checked out the roof deck, it was pretty empty and didn't live up to the hype of most roof decks. I'm not opposed to giving it another shot or two, though!

Banging sound system. This place slaps when they have good artists in town. Always have a good time here. Just an FYI to anyone reading. Throw your trash away. There's plenty of trash cans. Don't be a lazy a*se. Annoying when you tryna dance and keep stepping on cans.

Great place. Intimate venue. Can't speak to the quality of the bar, but if you want to get up close and personal with some mid-tier musicians, here's the place to do it.

(Make sure you bring your ID, doesn't matter if you're over 18 or don't want to drink, if you don't have an official ID you can't even get into the concert venue.)

Intimate venue situated in the back of a cute restaurant. However, in the venue, the floors, walls, and possibly ceiling were all concrete, and the speakers were cranked to 11, which made the music so amplified it was painful and barely sounded like music. I'm a fan of loud music and was seeing my favorite band, but the music reverberating through my entire body was excruciating rather than exhilarating. There was no location in the venue that limited that effect. It was painful in any configuration from the speakers. Wearing earplugs barely cut the pain in my ears, but it was the rhythmic punching sensation to my body that made it intolerable. Eventually, the guy behind me literally passed out, probably due to the noise, as he didn't seem drunk at all when he came to. He cracked his head and it made the unpleasant experience intolerable, so I decided to leave, the rare occurrence of my favorite band, early. Added this review 7/20, but went there 11/17, so it may have changed since?

Went to see Dumbfoundead here. Nice venue, had an efficient way to line up and get tickets. Large enough space to enjoy the show with a bar on the far side of the stage. I appreciate them for having the ceiling fans on as well.^^ Also cheap parking lots nearby to use (if you use Parkhero etc.)

This is my favorite venue in Chicago for live music. It is rather small, so you can get very close to the stage if you wish. Also, cameras are usually allowed in. If you are 21 and over, you can come and go as you please (there IS re-entry here). If you are under 21, you have to stay in the music area the whole time. As for the bar area, there are a bunch of tables and booths, and the food is really quite good. The portions are large also. For parking, there is a free lot right next to the building, but it is very small, and fills quickly. Overall, I highly recommend this place, for food AND for music.

This place is one of my faves when it comes to music venues. The staff has always been exceptional. Even the security gents are courteous and nice which is rare. The bartenders are very attentive and it rarely takes long to get a drink like most places I have been to. The new menu is fantastic when it comes to food. It's a great place to grab a bite and a few drinks before a show. I highly recommend the Yankee Pot Roast Grinder..... Even the name screams "EAT ME!" All in all, this is a fantastic place to visit, and it's not difficult to get to from the expressway making the visit even easier. Keep up the good work Bottom Lounge. I'll see you soon.

Not the best venue for music listening. The sound system was great, but there is no seating, and the crowd was a bit unruly! I prefer a venue, that at least has some small tables with bar stools set up, for those of us, who might like the option of seating!

Great venue for live shows. We had the privilege of seeing Mark Lanegan here while visiting Chicago. The room has an intimate feeling yet can accommodate a large enough crowd. The staff are helpful and friendly and we found everything reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!

Went to BL to see Moonchild. Didn t mind the stand-up audience set but would have appreciated the music and ambiance with a sit down option. Love the intimate stage and lighting; not so much trying to get to the bar for a drink or to the restrooms. Oh, and if you re not a fan of cell phone cameras (and lights) disrupting you re view... get there early enough to be pinned up stage side. There were many that seemed to enjoy the setting, but also many that periodically joined us in the restaurant area for a seat where there is no view of the entertainment. Not a complete diss to BL. Just some insight that would have helped me (and perhaps might help others either way) make a different choice on that Friday evening with the wife.moonchild was awesome for what I was able to see and hear.
