For rock concerts...The floor is one flat level and there is no balcony or stairs to help see over taller people. The house speakers hang from the ceiling to stage height on both sides of the stage ergo side views are obstructed by them.

If you want a good view, get there early!

I saw HER and Tiara Thomas perform here in December 2017. I didnt get to see much of the restaurant but the concert venue area was so nice. I loved the aesthetics. There s plenty of room for small/medium crowds. The bartenders were very friendly and fun. Even the restrooms we pretty cool. I m from Indy so this was a nice change up for me. I can t wait to go back if they have another dope artist.

Took my son here to see cavetown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After the concert the had large cups of water for everyone. I have never had a venue do that and I have been to a lot of concerts!! I would definitely go there again. Just a long drive for me :-)

Great concert to see awesome bands! Also a good option for Hawks viewing upstairs with large projection screen! Beers and drinks are a bit pricey but depending on what's going on there it is usually worth it.

Bottom Lounge was the venue for our recent wedding...

Bottom Lounge was the venue for our recent wedding (September 2017) and it was perfect for our 80 guests. We had the ceremony and reception on site, utilizing both the indoor and outdoor space on the second floor. Natalie is their wedding coordinator and is absolutely wonderful to work with. She's very efficient, knows what she's doing, and makes sure that everything looks amazing on the big day. She has an inventory of items, such as dessert platters and cut wood discs for display that she's happy to let couples utilize. The space already has nice lighting, a Chicago feel, a permanent bar, and a DJ booth, so it saves the time of trying to plan the room from a completely "blank canvas." The optional photo booth and pinball machines are a fun touch. The food was delicious and was served family style. It was an overall great planning experience and perfect wedding day. Thank you to Natalie and everyone at Bottom Lounge!!

This is a great small venue where you can be close to the performers from anywhere in the room. Though it can be a bit cramped in the hallway where merch is usually sold, you can see the stage from most of the tables. The staff is helpful and they have a great food & alcohol selection. They were even very accommodating to my gluten allergy, which is not always the case at concert venues. Even though it's a small place, it's one of my favourites. And as an added bonus, the bathrooms are reasonably clean for a concert venue!

HUGE portions for food. Way better than your average bar food.

Very intimate venue for a concert. We saw White Buffalo and were basically at the front of the stage.

Easy location to get to whether you live in the city or are coming from the suburbs. On site parking, but limited spots. Street parking is plentiful in the area.

Went there for an event and I had heard lots of good things about this place. Sad to say atleast my experience along with my friends was just meh. We didnt find the place to be anything special. Their food and service was just alright. Their so called rooftop should really be called a deck and the view is nothing to brag about either. If for whatever reason I got back it would probably for their craft beer selection more than anything.

This place is terrible. The security is comprised of a bunch of grumps who hate their jobs and anyone who is having a good time. Was completely disrespected while going into the venue, was jumped on by a security guard inside for eating Sweet Tarts, and then was kicked out after attempting to calmly talk to a security guard about my friend who was getting kicked out as well. Its in a sketchy neighborhood located under an L track. Don't go here, don't book shows here. It's terrible. You won't have a good time.

Was here for an event on Saturday night it was absolutely amazing and the staff was really nice, really clean and everything was well organized. I might just go back to spend some time there as is, location was nice with a McDonalds across the street. Bottom lounge has their own parking lot and I'd would definitely go back to see another band or even just to go out there.

This is one of my favorite venues in Chicago! It has a great atmosphere, good food, and tons of beer options. It is easily accessible from the CTA green line. Before shows, be sure to grab a bite at the bar. They have a small menu, but the food is delicious. It is also an official Blackhawks bar so you can get a bus from there to the UC for free for all home games. It has a lot to offer for anyone in the area!

Between the front area with good food and arcade games, the back area with plenty of room to enjoy shows and the fact I can get labatt blue here (a rarity in chitown), the fact they pull a wide array of great bands is a bonus. A great place to watch shows!

I've been here for 3 concerts now. Parking is a pain to find for free, but there is a parking lot on the other side of the McDonalds that's 15 bucks. Locals can probably find free parking somewhere but I don't know all the rules there. However, this place is great for 3 reasons, one you can show up for your show early and have the best food while you wait. The venue is a great environment with no place that does not offer a great view of the stage. It's a perfect place with great sound. The last reason, free water. Places like the metro and the rave charge 5 bucks for a warm bottle of water, here you can get unlimited ice water. That's classy, and I will be back to see more bands. Get the Poutine! It's amazing.

Super great venue. Very low key and chill. If you want food, they have a bar and tables and booth set up with a bunch of places for sitting and eating. It s great to hang out while waiting for the show or the headliner to come in.

You can bring in drinks from the front into the actual stage room. I went here to see Every Avenue twice. Easy to find a spot to stand to see a band. One time we got lucky and found a space out front to park our car.

It gets kinda hot inside the venue so no need to layer. There isn t bag check just coat coat. It s $3. When we went there one toilet seat was broken but general the bathrooms are clean. Also, it s very hard to get signal. I have Verizon and my signal wasn t as great.

Decent bar/lounge for hanging out, did not eat there, but did have a beer and overall they seem to have a pretty good selection of drafts on tap and more. If you're in the West Loop and need a watering hole, this will do the trick. You'll pay average for what you'd expect and get in this part of town.

My friend was married on the 2nd event space of the Bottom Lounge and it could not have been a cooler venue. With the train quietly (literally quietly) running past the windows as they read their vows, it was a fantastic and unique venue.

Visited this venue on 2/1/20 for a concert. I have no complaints. Although I did not get to try any food, the door man, security guard, bartender and every other staff member I encountered was very friendly. PBR tall boy was $5, other domestic beer was $6. They even had two pitchers and a stack of cups at the end of the bar for free water during the show. The concert was fantastic and I really had a great time. 10/10 would definitely go back to see another show. We had a blast.

Last weekend, I went to the Bottom Lounge to see Create Your Summer Tour, and my overall experience was nothing short of amazing! First, the location is convenient for me, as it's in the West Loop, so I was able to grab a bite to eat after the show, and it's very close to the L (2 blocks from Ashland, although I walked all the way there from Navy Pier and back to Morgan Street and later Ogilvie Transportation Center), and within walking distance of both Ogilvie and Union Stations, and close to the Kennedy Expressway for drivers. Second, I thought the staff was competent in handling a large crowd, and everyone was well behaved (although it was a family-friendly, all ages show with many kids, so I don't know if the same can be said for adult shows). The venue is standing room only, and I could see pretty well from the back of the room (although I'm quite tall). Lastly, the show was great, worth every penny of my $135 ticket! It was a night to remember!
