I'm taking care of person who has tested positive for Covid-19. Although I'm fully vaccinated, I called Bothwell just to get more information on the over the counter medications that I'm using to treat the person and to ask questions about the range of their fever and I was told they couldn't give me any advice??? The woman on the phone showed absolutely no compassion what so ever! I am scared to death of the idea of ever having to go to or be admitted to "Botchwell" hospital for myself.

Absolutely horrible experience at bothwell. I had an absess on my leg that needed to be drained. The ladies that checked me in were very kind and helpful but the nurse that actually drained it, that's a whole other story.... she injected my leg with lidocaine and did not wait for it to numb. She immediately went in and cut. It hurt so incredibly bad I felt everything. It was traumatizing. It hurt for a few days afterwards as well. I don't know what nurse would do that to a patient. I didn't even have time to say wait or hold on. Before I was screaming and crying in pain. I will never be back to any bothwell location again. I would much rather go to the kc area where I know that they know what they are doing. I hope no one goes to bothwell medical centers. I will never trust them with my health ever again.
I got glass in my foot, so we went to bothwell they put medicine on my foot and called it good. Then like two months later I pulled it out of my foot. Then I had a x-ray there because my ribs were uneven they said I'll grow out of it. We went to another doctor and it turns out they I have scoliosis.
I had knee surgery today at Bothwell. From Catherine & Tammy who did my admission, to Jim at the surgery check in desk, to my nurse Lizzie, anesthesiologist Bart to my ortho Dr, Dr Evan Stout....everything was top notch!! Could not have asked for better treatment & care! Thank you to all of you who took care of me today!
(late review) In 2019 I went to the walk in clinic and to the emergency room several times (6 at minimum) for treatment. Every time I was sent back home and given pain meds and told to take various antibiotics etc. I knew something more serious was wrong yet no one there would hear me. One Dr. in particular, Dr. Hill was very unprofessional and said some very unprofessional things. It was on a Sunday evening I was in horrible pain once again and went back to the ER and was once again sent back home after pain meds. I had a kidney stone which was discovered by my primary doctor previously and Bothwell was well aware of this. That night when I was sent home, I was unable to move, I was still running a high fever of 103, in horrible pain, dehydrated, low BP etc.... The next morning (Monday) Dr. Wilson called me as he was on call at the ER that morning. He told me I should not have been sent home and that I needed to get to the ER ASAP as he was sure I had an infected kidney stone. He was right!!! By the time I was taken into the ER, my vitals were dropping and I was rushed into emergency surgery to drain the infection from around the stone. I was informed how awfully infected it was. They started me on a broad spectrum of antibiotics until the cultures came back to pinpoint what it was. I was obviously septic. They were able to find out that not only was I septic, but I had also contracted E-coli which was a specific strain that was resistant to all medications except for 2. I spent a few nights in the hospital on my way to recovery. The 1st night I was there, there was a nurse's aide who came in the check my vitals and I was feeling pretty bad at that point. My BP was 56/32 and she did not bother to tell the nurse on duty as that would have constituted a call to the doctor that was on call that night. I was SO upset about this. BP that low can be deadly. I was SO THANFUL for Dr. Wilson calling me that Monday morning because who knows how much longer I would have lasted at the rate I was going. My body was so sick. I have since then made a full recovery. There are many great doctors and nurses that work at BRHC however, I was just treated like a number this time. I hope that people will actually read these things and that some of the medical staff will think of how they would want to be treated or would want their loved ones treated in the event of a medical situation.
If being made to feel awful about yourself then this is the hospital for you. Used to feel a lil better when id goto the hospital for whatever becuz I knew the doctor would help, but I literally would rather bleed to death then go back here. Thanks again to the nurses they at least were fake nice to me.
My daughter and I are thankful for the BRHC ER. They took care of my daughter after she was a victim of a domestic assault. Her nurse kept me informed until I was able to go into her room. Also, she was able to be seen within a few minutes. Thanks BRHC ER and staff!
Not Professional At All! The Patient Advocate Was Patronizing And Worthless! I Will Be Filing My Grievances With The Missouri Division Of Professional Registration. The Care Given At Bothwell's Cole Camp Clinic Since Dr. Beltz Retired Is Inadequate And Can Be Considered Dangerous And Inept! I Would Suggest If You Have A Real Medical Condition To Try To Get To Columbia University Hospital.
