Had my first experience at the ER after moving to Boone Co. last July, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hospital was clean and the service was quick. I guess that's one good thing about living in rural WV, is that not too many people were at the ER! They took me right back and the whole process of scanning and waiting took about two hours. Longer than anyone wants, of course, but I'm used to waiting 3 hours before even being taken back. It was also nice to have an actual room to myself instead of a bed with a curtain. My only complaint would be to have some ambient lighting options in the exam room!

I cannot say enough good things about Boone Memorial Hospital. I had to do some rehab about a year ago and the staff was so good to me and knew just what I needed. My Aunt was in the hospital and I was so worried about her but I knew that she was very well taken care of while I was at work and not with her. They would take excellent care of her and they did every thing to make her comfortable and at ease. The hospital is always having classes and seminars for the public to learn about their health. The new Boone Memorial Hospital is the best thing that's happened to this area in a long time.

We called tonight to speak to the doctor I had previously seen cause my symptoms were changing and getting worse and I needed to speak to my doctor and ask him what I should do. Like come in or not. The receptionist or whatever you call them hung up on my husband cause he pronounced the name of my doctor wrong. Her name was Tracy by the way or something like that. Then he called back and corrected the name he said and she was like "Are you the one who previously called?" then proceeded to say "Well we don't know anything about that." then handed the phone to a woman named Heather and she began to very rude to my husband just like the first woman. Now I understand why no one goes to this hospital. The staff is very rude. It's honestly ridiculous. It was the one on Madison Avenue and we called the phone number listed when that one in specific is googled cause it was the one we went to (for the owner of the hospital that commented). Thank you for responding by the way.

Major improvement with the remodel a few years ago and not just with looks and space but cleanliness and friendliness has majorly improved as well!

My throat was swelling shut completely and I had went the the emergency room. DR. THOMAS CARPENTER was by far the rudest doctor I have ever came across. He said that I didn t need to come to the emergency room for that and continued to talk down to me as I was already crying in pain. He looked at my throat and seen the white patches and said print out a paper on sore throat and discharged me. I have never been treated so poorly by any doctor in my life.

Friendly nursing staff and drs. The food was actually good. They seemed to really care about what they do. The new facilities are great!

specifically for the dermatology clinic. I have nothing but good words to say about Dr.Cook. He is very friendly and seems extremely knowledgeable. Always felt safe with him and felt confident as is I was getting the best treatment for him. The front desk ladies were always very nice to me. HOWEVER, I have never had such a horrible experience with a nurse as I did there. Not positive of a name, I believe it starts with a B. I saw her every time I was there over a span of 2 years, and can say she is the reason i have decided to no longer go back. Completely unprofessional, and I hope she realizes that those walls are PAPER THIN, before she decides to laugh/joke about any more patients. I could hear her laughs and comments about me the whole time I was at my appointment, and wanted to get up and leave, but remained professional and stayed for the remainder of my appointment. Safe to say that the appointment was my last.

I've been to a lot of hospitals, but this is a really nice facility for a smaller area. They could use more staff as most hospitals could, but the the facility was clean, modern and updated. The staff was friendly and my care team was wonderful.

Boone memorial is absolutely awesome! I'm 49, been to alot of hospitals, ERs, etc. In my life. This will be my goto, hospital is clean,and the staff is top notch! They were friendly, respectful, treated you like a human, talked to you, answered all my questions. Never did I not know what was going on, never did I feel forgotten about, or unimportant! Just a grade a job! Thank you for taking care of me!

Melanie Harper-Allen always does an amazing job when I am seen in the sick clinic. I have been seen multiple times for severe sinus and inner ear infections, and she is always knowledgeable in my issues and makes sure I get proper treatment. She is always caring, listens, and uses therapeutic communication skills. She is a valuable asset to BMH.
